I need to start by saying my wife and I suffer from bad-mover PTSD. I'm certain our…read moremoving-experience horror stories can top 99% of the moving horror stories out there. Given that, we were hyper-diligent during our selection process. We read as many reviews as possible before contacting any prospective movers. Once we narrowed the field, we asked two moving companies to visit and provide a quote. Weaver was one of them. Tony from Weaver drove 3 hours to provide our quote. He and I walked the entire property identifying each item that was to move and those that were not. Tony made recommendations along the way regarding best practices for packing certain items as well as informing me about certain items that were not eligible to ship on their truck. We then sat down and Tony walked me through the quote process as well as the move process, should his company be chosen. I asked a lot of questions and Tony had plenty of answers. I received Tony's quote the next day. Tony's quote was 30% lower than the other guy. My wife and I felt comfortable with the Weaver quote, so we selected them. During the downtime between selection and the move, Tiffany sent me regular reminders to make sure we were well prepared for move day. The day of the move, a team of 3 showed up. Darryl, Nick and Ryan showed up exactly on time. Darryl introduced himself, as well as the other two men on the team. I walked Darryl around and showed him the task at hand. I should mention, my wife and I have accumulated a lot of stuff over the past 23 years, so this wasn't going to be a cake walk for the Weaver team. Once the team got the lay of the land, they got quickly to work. No BS, no phones out, just heads down and working. Their pace was extraordinary. I ordered lunch for the team, and they barely stopped moving long enough to take a few bites and keep loading. It should be noted that these gentlemen started their day very early. They arrived in the early AM after a 3-hour drive. By midday they had loaded an enormous portion of the house. By the end of the first day, they had loaded everything but the garage. In this day and age when a strong work ethic is almost impossible to find, it was incredible to see three men perform so much work. I stuck round for a while to do some light cleaning, and inspect the walls for any scuffs or dings that needed to be repaired, (there were none). I then headed to the hotel for the night. The Weaver team was back at it early the next day. They wrapped up before 11:00 AM on day 2. Darryl and I reviewed the house to make sure nothing had been left behind and once confirmed, the Weaver team hit the road. One of the selling points for my wife and I was the fact that we would have the same team loading and unloading. We had worked with movers who brought on contract workers to unload at the destination. Take my word for it, that's a nightmare scenario. It was comforting to know Darryl, Nick and Ryan would be unloading our belongings at our new home. Immediately following the closing, my wife and I headed over to the new house and met Darryl and team. The universe had brought us rain that day, so the Weaver team was going to be challenged with the elements as well as the weight of the load they had delivered. They got straight to work protecting our house from the wet weather. The floors and carpets were all quickly covered with some form of protection. Once the protection was in place, the Weaver team quickly began unloading. We had an extra team member, Graham, today to help speed things up. The Weaver team quickly and carefully put everything in place. I'm happy to say that we haven't opened a single box with a damaged item. My wife has an extensive collection of crystal, and I have a large collection of cobalt-blue glass that belonged to my mother that all arrived unscathed. No dents in the walls at either house, no nicks in the furniture, no missing items. What a relief. If you're part of the sad, pathetic population of people who have been taken advantage of by unscrupulous moving companies, or if you're just looking for an amazing mover that will take the stress out of the process, Weaver is the team for you. I can't recommend them enough. First class from the office to the field.

He and Pam answered my many questions and were a tremendous help throughout. When Austin and Connor showed up on moving day, they were professional, kind, respectful, personable, prompt, and patient causing all of my stress to totally evaporate. They were very honoring as they listened to my concerns and accommodated my wishes. They worked diligently, efficiently, carefully, thoughtfully, and without complaint as they moved heavy items up and down stairs, loaded and unloaded the truck. Austin, Connor, Jim, and Pam all contributed to an extremely positive moving experience. I give Geo W Weaver the maximum amount of stars allowed as my recommendation!!

Johhny and the boys overall did an amazing job. There were unexpected difficulties along the way but Johnny always found a resolution and was committed to making things work and getting the job done. Johnny is a great leader who gets in the trenches with his men, is very calm in face of all the stresses, professional, fair, honest, friendly, respectful, communicative, appreciative and very reasonably priced. This experience was outstandingly horrible. Really impressive how terrible this company made things…read morewithout us realizing it until it was over. Poor management of dishonest, lazy, disrespectful and manipulative employees. That's how they operate. Here is an itemized list of the issues we had: 1. Our goods had to be put in storage for 2 weeks because they arrived a week before we did and the company couldn't deliver them until a week after we arrived. It was a busy moving season so it was annoying but understandable. But, because some items weren't packed properly to begin with and then they were put into storage and left for 2 weeks we ended up with thousands of dollars' worth of damage. Waiting to see how much of that we get back with how this company's shifty employees try to skirt the standards. 2. When we went to put in the claim the first time, about 6 weeks later our items were still showing as in transit so we couldn't make a claim. 3. Not sure how they are connected to the company that packed us to start but that was also a nightmare we didn't see coming until unloading. Several items were not packed or wrapped and got destroyed or seriously damaged in the loading, unloading, storage, and unloading. 4. The crew that came to unpack was only 3 people. We have always had at least 5 or more people unloading and unpacking. Some moving companies will even send over 10 people. It was clear by the end of the day they thought they were only unloading even though we were entitled to a full unpack if we wanted. I'll get to that insanity later. 5. The crew left several pieces and boxes saran wrapped that should have been taken out of the wrap, and put together. 6. The parts box was still half full when they left. Several items were not put together at all, which is something that was paid for. 7. Furniture was assembled incorrectly and missing parts. The crew member putting the furniture together didn't bother to tell us they couldn't find all of the parts of an item and left a dangerous situation for our small children. 8. One of the crew members started complaining about how tired he was near the end of the day and I found him laying on my child's bedroom floor while he watched another crew member put the previously mentioned item together incorrectly. 9. I'll say it was my fault for not seeing the fine print that said "we are entitled to a full unpack to the customer's satisfaction". I should have been more diligent inspecting their work, but I was under the wrong impression that these were professionals. We were not satisfied. We should have had a full unpack with 100% respect for our items. We paid for a complete unpack and when we asked for it the crew lead said that they would just dump the box contents on the floor and it would take 3-5 more hours after they had been there for about 10 hours already. We said we wanted it and they proceeded to do exactly that. Dumped a bunch, but not all of boxes on our floors and only in 1 hour. There were still so many unopened boxes after this incredibly disrespectful hour. They did not finish and didn't even ask for me to verify. At this point I was the only one at home with them and unable to do a proper look around to verify the unpack. Several boxes were left untouched, while we had to wade through the piles they dumped just as they said they would. 10. When we asked for the unpack, the tired and lazy crew member copped an attitude and broke an item as he was unpacking not to my satisfaction. 11. They refused to put together one item and said a third party would call to set up an appointment to put it together. I put it together in 20 min. Never received a call from said third party. So they are also liars. Maybe we got unlucky with our crew. Another crew came to pick up boxes we had unpacked ourselves because the first crew were dishonest in their 100% unpack to our satisfaction. This second crew seemed far more put together and helpful. It was just a short period of time I spent with them, so who knows what a full day would have been like. We have heard about several other bad experiences with this company so it wasn't just our "luck" of the draw.

We just received our household goods overseas which were packed by this crew in York, PA. They literally just threw my family heirlooms - WHICH WERE MARKED WITH SIGNS SAYING 'FAMILY HEIRLOOMS, PLEASE PACK WELL', into boxes with ZERO PADDING WHATSOEVER. My deceased grandmother's (who raised me) food processor and mixer were just dumped into a box with random other items WITH ZERO PACKING- NO WRAPPING, NO PADDING, NOTHING. A dirty dog mat was thrown in with BAKEWARE; breakable decor thrown into boxes with ZERO PACKING. Our POD was delivered on schedule to the Middletown location (actually a day earlier than the estimate I was given). I called ahead a few days ago to ask if I could access the contents of my POD and was able to schedule it later in the week to go retrieve my items. At least for this location, the PODs can be accessed between 8am-3pm. When you arrive, you can call the number on the front door and someone will come help move your POD storage box outside with a lil truck--just make sure you bring your key! The manager (whose name I believe was Jim) was super helpful the day my dad and I tried to access my POD. We struggled to open up the pull gate (some furniture had moved in transit and jammed the door) and Jim helped us even push the box open and troubleshoot. Moving is extremely painful, so we were super grateful for his help!
