First detox and sweat to cleanse your skin and mind of all the funk, then relax into your massage or facial (which I truly enjoyed! & to that... let me add that I am a spa/wellness consultant! ) Valerie has an angelic touch! Loved my ageless facial, she used Phyto5 and Osmosis products. My skin looks radiant and firm! Came to Edmonton for a wedding but for those that live here... make the Wellness on Whyte a regular spot in your life!

As a long time client for 8 years, who has been personally asked this year to give a "testimony"…read morefor the website...I am sad to say, Wellness on Whyte has become toxic and unprofessional. I am no longer recommending them. They use to be different, and have changed... Bullying, defaming character, playing games, lying... not a way to keep your business alive by allowing staff to treat people with frequent relational aggression, etc without addressing professionalism. Reason #1 to avoid Wellness: If a spa is not toxic, Practitioners should not be constantly bullying clients into getting less services by devaluing their pain and disabilities. WOW staff are taking their personal problems out on their clients. It's actually been difficult to adjust to being treated professionally at other businesses/clinics... being respected, listened to, and valued feels odd... that's how toxic Wellness has become. I've felt such relief since I've stopped supporting WOW... you actually get treated well at other businesses/clinics! "No, I still need weekly treatment, means no, I still need weekly treatment." Clients should not have to say this over and over. As my physiotherapist remarked, clients should not have to validate their chronic pain to you, it's your job to listen. Initially, I gave them a chance to remedy it, however, in the end, I can't trust a place of business with my pain that supported this unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from an RMT. When I was not well enough one week to get specific feedback to the massage therapist right away, I was told she no longer wanted to work with me. After 8 years of trusting someone, it was a shock. I broke the silence about unprofessionalism, and was fired as a client for it. Unsettling. Reason #2 to avoid Wellness: As another example, the STAFF centred care has become out of control... Products should not be taken off the shelf so you can't buy them and placed back out later. I started buying online so the staff could not lie to me about how much was left of a particular facial product... it's truly unprofessional. Wellness on Whyte has become unprofessional and has come away from client centred care. It's sad. One of the causes may be that the practitioners themselves use the products and services of Wellness, which is already a very small business. Wellness has limited appointments! When the practitioners see you booking services in advance, they become upset. The business model is flawed: It is another reason why it's become toxic. You can't have practitioners pressuring clients to cancel other appointments they genuinely want and need because they themselves want the services/ are horse trading with other practitioners in Wellness. If Wellness was not allowing their practitioners to "horse trade" services etc within the company, then there wouldn't be practitioners competing with clients for appointment spots. Again, highly unprofessional. Reason #3 to avoid Wellness: The more money you spend here, the more jealous the staff becomes and the meaner they get. It's bad business to let your staff bully your best clients. The LESS money you spend here, the MORE they will respect you. A clinic where the staff get a mean attitude when you give them more business, is not a place to be. In conclusion, I never thought after years of supporting this business that they would shift in such an unprofessional direction. They even somehow got my review removed from another platform, which is why I had to post on Yelp, where they cannot manipulate my review. Interesting how they do business here.... I wouldn't trust them with your credit card either, as they will charge you for half your appointment cost, even when you had unavoidable sickness or emergencies. They will waive the cost one time, and not again. The new polices allow them to rip you off, and it will cost you even if you don't get a reminder they were supposed to send. It's truly shocking how much the money matters most here, and yet on the other hand, the more money you spend, the more they treat you mean out of jealousy. Very unprofessional. My advice? Spend your money somewhere they actually want you to! LOL

It was with great heavy heartedness that I had to look for a different massage therapist as my…read moreregular one was unavailable. I was recommended to see Ali from 3Leaf because she does an amazing job. I was quite skeptical. For one, it really is heresy to switch massage therapists and two can Ali top Erica at Action Chiro? For the sake of my back, I had to find out. Located conveniently (for me) in the west end off of Stony Plain, you'll notice the décor is kept quite well with hardwood floors, chandeliers, tasteful Victorian style decorations. Complimentary flip flops were available and I was led into a separate waiting room with even more tasteful and colorful furniture waiting for me. Since it was my first visit, I had to fill out the necessary forms complete with waivers but I was also asked if I wanted some chilled water, tea or coffee. That's a first for me. I kind of felt like I was in a spa. Finally, our mysterious therapist, Ali comes to greet me in full scrub attire. She must mean business. We sit down in the typical style massage room and she builds my profile by asking about medical history and preference of what I would like to be worked on. I quite enjoyed the fact that she laid out expectations and asked questions right away. This allowed me to indicate which areas I would like help with and I think it allowed her to build a personalized program for me. After allowing me to change and get ready I knew right away the treatment was much different. She was not shy in getting into the trouble areas of my shoulders and if I had to compare apples to apples, it felt painfully good but much more thorough. She identified and released many more knots and based on my profile suggested that she work on the arms as well since I work at an office and go to the gym. Don't be fooled by her frame, she had some secret special reserve monster strength given the fact her effort dial wasn't cranked to full power. I left feeling very refreshed and had a good chat with her at the desk as I paid. As listed on their site, an hour long massage is roughly $89. What's also really convenient is this location allows you to log in and book your appointments online and make them reoccurring if it fits your schedule. It's a bittersweet feeling finding Ali at 3Leaf. I just hope I can drown away the tears of remorse of leaving my old therapist with the amazing massages I'll be getting in the future after switching. TL;DR - Great décor and even amazing massage service.

They always acknowledge me the second I walk in and will grab me a pair of sandals and take my coat. They have a cute little waiting area with tea and magazines. I've only every had Michelle Bullock as my massage therapist and she is amazing! She uses the right amount of pressure and some different techniques. I went there today after almost a year of not going. I forgot how amazing she is. I always feel amazing after... I wish I could go every week!

I have had massages at other locations and this one for sure stacks up. While the waiting room is a little small considering how busy they were that's a great complaint to have. There was a constant flow of people booked for what I can assume all the different services they offer. Everything from reflexology to Thai massage. There was mention of acupuncture, cupping and aromatherapy as well. I noticed several different therapy areas that would confirm the different services offered. High backed recliners for reflexology and low lying floor beds for Thai massage treatments. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and welcoming including offering flip-flops to wear to and from our room. The therapists were both extremely attentive and took time to ask if everything was OK during treatment. Upon departure the extra bonus was direct billing. There is plenty of parking and other services nearby that would make the trip even more convenient since it is close to the Hwy and 17th St. I will use them again to try other services.
