I was having a lot of all over pain and had been referred for lymphatic drainage which my regular massage therapist didn't do (and which sounded very strange and terrifying, I was imagining a mad scientist lab and tubes to drain out lymphatic fluid, eek! It's actually just a gentle massage, no literal draining involved.) I ended up booking with Anne as she does the lymphatic drainage as well as several other therapies. The clinic is located in a cute little house on the corner of 101 St and 80th Avenue. As soon as I walked in I was struck by the utter peace and tranquility of the place. It was so quiet compared to the chaos outside and I could happily have dozed off just sitting on the sofa in the waiting area. My massage therapist, Anne, is just lovely. I was half expecting someone very spiritual, wearing flowing robes and waving incence (because I'm ridiculous like that) but she is a very charming and practical German lady with additional qualifications in physiotherapy. One of the first things she said to me was "sit up straight, you'll feel better if you're not slouching all the time." It's true, I do!! Before we started our treatment she did an assessment of my body and biomechanics (I've always experienced this as more of a physio thing) and based on that she decided that rather than do lymphatic drainage we should change our focus and try Bowen therapy instead. This involves sort of tweaking/moving all the muscles in the body. It's very non-invasive and didn't hurt at all and I walked out feeling much better! I really like that Anne has a lot of experience with different types of therapy and she can customize and incorporate different techniques into my treatments. She also gave me a thorough treatment plan with different recommendations for exercises, videos, a stability cushion for my work chair, and orthotics. So far everything has worked and Anne is now my regular massage therapist. I can't recommend Integrated Therapies enough!

The treatment beds are also heated for your comfort. Amy has been awesome about working around our schedule. Her attention to the tiniest detail has been awesome. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. When you see her, you will walk out felling a whole lot better than when you walked in. Amy will offer suggestions for aftercare if it is an injury she is treating. Follow them. These folks will direct bill to many of the insurance companies of massage is covered by your plan. There is free parking in front of the clinic and it is fairly easy to find. They are not wheelchair accessible as the clinic is located upstairs.
