Sam is hands down the best computer guy I've worked with...period. If you have a problem with your phone or computer save yourself a lot of hassle and just go see Sam the minute your computer has a glitch. He will efficiently and effectively take care of your problem and has the knowledge and patience to explain options, computer terms, processes - even ITunes to two "oldish" women (and with a sense of humor too). Between the friends I've sent to him and myself he has saved 3 computers, sold us 4 phones and worked tirelessly this year with Dell to get my "newish" computer working again after being physically damaged. Everyone has raved about how kind he is have always been happy with his work or the products they purchased from him. He does all of this at very reasonable prices. His service is fast and always done in the timeframe quoted. He allows me to concentrate on my own business rather than worry about my equipment. He has always given me sound advice about products (event suggesting products that he didn't stock). I wish all businesses were as easy, efficient and cost effective to work with as J&R Computers. The day after a storm I couldn't get my 2008 Mac to boot up. Oh boy I thought: this is probably the end for it. I called Sam and he had me bring it in immediately. He said he would do a free diagnostic on it and call me later that day. He called a few hours later and happily reported that the computer was OK but the power supply/inverter needed to be replaced. He called back a little later to suggest for a small amount more he would upgrade it from 2 gig to 4 gig. All this and it was available for me to pick up that same day by 5 (I came the next day). I needed to transfer personal files from my dead laptop to my new one, purchased at Costco. I had seen J&R in passing many times, but had never needed computer repair before, being relatively new to computers. (roughly 10 years) The transfer of a LOT of data only took two days, just one day longer than quoted, which didn't bother me in the least. I feared the job would take 3-4 days. Reasonable cost for the job. And ALL my data was available after opening my old Microsoft Word spreadsheet into my new Excel. What a relief! I recently used J&R computers to get the screen on my laptop fixed. It was completely smashed and I needed to get a new screen. The owner Sam was very nice and very helpful. The price was way better than I expected it to be it was very reasonably priced. Also my computer was done in about 3 days even though they had to get the screen shipped so that was also a very good time frame. I was in a panic this morning when my laptop wasn't working and I desperately needed it to work from home. Snowstorm going on and a husband home after 6 weeks in hospital with cancer. Sam saved me from complete loss of my data after I downloaded a virus disguised as a Microsoft product! I took an iphone to him a couple months ago and was impressed with his speed and prices so when my computer turned on me I went straight to him! My kids accidently spilt water inside The Xbox One S. It stopped working. I brought it in to Sam. He took it apart and saw that the Harddrive and Logic Board needed to be repaired.
