I can see what the previous review is saying, but that is not the whole story.
J & S Barber Shop is not a Supercut or any other barbershop where you just walk in and expect to be taken care of at that moment. It's a barbershop in its truest form, where you if you come in, if there are appointments, then you may have to wait 10 or 15. But typically you can get in.
I've gone to this barbershop for years, and whenever I am back in the Triad, I go nowhere else. This is the barbershop. It's what barbers used to be, but are starting to drift away from due to chains and "self-shaving" systems.
The care, the courtesy, and the professionalism at this place is something hard to find in any other place. When you get a shave here, it doesn't fee like like someone is actually giving you a hair cut. All you know is that by the end, your head feels lighter and you feel mad sleepy from being so relaxed.
It's an environment where you can go alone, bring your kids, or bring your friends and in each scenario you will feel comfortable. The barbers care and they actually remember who you are each and every time you go. They know your personality and if you don't wanna talk a lot that's cool. But if you wanna talk about the meaning of life, they got you on that too.
This place is an amazing barbershop. Please give it a chance. You will get a shave or cut, go back to whatever state you're from, and wish things were different where you are. read more
