It took 7 days for them to respond to my first email. After setting an appointment for a week later, we waited at home during the assigned window, only to get a one-line message cancelling the appointment and asking to reschedule. This time, it took 4 business days for us to get another communication, this time to tell us that their next available date would be a month away. We asked if anything earlier was available, as we had really needed them to keep their original appointment. Another 4 days later, they emailed to say they could come in 48 hours and to be ready for them. They sent a team of 4 women for a 1-hour partial clean. Some background: Our house was indeed in need of professional cleaning (which was why we hired a professional company in the first place). We are new parents of a 7-month-old, both working full time, trying to keep up with cleaning but at the point of total exhaustion. We also have two cats and wood floors (note, however, that no restriction on pets was specified anywhere in their terms). Also, our house is right next to the woods, so we keep Terro squares and Borax around, not unusual for houses near wooded areas. There is nothing on our floors that a standard household-grade vacuum and $10 broom couldn't pick up in about 15 minutes; the house is not large (around 1200 sq. ft.). Aware that time was limited, we asked specifically that the crew take care of what they could, and ignore anything that they didn't have time for. They called their boss, and then said they were leaving, saying that they did not want to get their brooms dirty because they had other houses to clean. I offered my own brooms and vacuum for their use, but they declined. I asked if they could do other tasks, like dusting, or wiping the counters, or scrubbing the tub; they declined. I asked about paying an upcharge, and they said no. I begged, saying we just needed a little professional help to reduce our workload, and literally any cleaning they could do would be helpful and satisfactory. They told me to talk to their boss, and left. I called the number they gave me, and again, it went straight to voicemail. Eventually, I received a perfunctory text, citing "unsanitary conditions." I responded by text and asked again for a return call, but received no further communication from the company of any kind. I registered a complaint with Groupon (and received a refund of my payment). The owner did not specify what "stuff" she was referring to, but again, the floors had only natural dust, hair, and tiny debris, all common to any house. Since their own advertising specifies "scrub caked food" and "deep cleans," they would reasonably be expected to deal with dirt and grime far worse than what we had. Also, many people have pets, so it's strange that they claim to be unable to clean or switch out their equipment between jobs; I certainly wouldn't want a scrubber used on another person's bathroom or pets to be used in my house without a good disinfecting in transit, regardless of how tidy that person happened to be. Also, at a very basic level, what is the point of hiring professional cleaners if they are unwilling to clean professionally? For comparison, I must also note that another company we hired some months before (and hired again, immediately after this experience) sent two women who, in the space of 4 person-hours, managed to clean the entire house to a spotless degree, cheerfully and without complaint, for lower cost (and the house was at that time, if anything, messier than it was today since we had just finished building the baby's room and there was sawdust and bits of cardboard all over the hallway). We posted our complaint on a public forum (aside from this one), with an example photo of our floor. We received offers from other local cleaning companies, saying that there was nothing there that they couldn't handle easily. We have learned our lesson, and will go back to the company that performed so well for us before. We now wish only to warn other consumers away from A Touch Above Cleaning.

    I bought a groupon for this cleaning service in April, 2017. I have called at least 10 times with…read moremessages sent, no one ever answers the phone live. I sent numerous emails that come back undeliverable! There email address ends with .com! Nothing goes through, no returns my calls! Now, Groupon has had their phone number disconnected and can't get through on their site either. I lost all this $$$$$ Kim

    If I could give less than 0 I would. I scheduled a deep clean. I had problems with my sink so…read moreexplained, in advance, alternatives to make sure it was still ok to schedule. I have two other sinks available. They agreed. From the very first hour I started receiving calls from them, stating the sink was not working and they should not have scheduled. Frustrated I agreed to pay them anyway if they would do the rest of the cleaning. When I arrived home, it was unbelievable. They did NOT even dust. They did not clean face of stove but cleaned top. They did not clean out the sink they used and left hair and debris. I called and shared concerns. Their responses were worse than the service. They minimized agreement about sink limitations, repeatedly kept stating they were sorry I did not have a "good experience" rather than at least acknowledging they absolutely did not keep with their end of the contract. They did agree to discount after I showed them multiple pictures. When they discounted, they actually added the new fee while the hold was still on my account for the original fee. Essentially locked up almost $600 in cash flow. When I confirmed the amount with my bank, I realized they had made my fee reoccurring without authorization. I ended up having to pay for a stop payment in order to interrupt their unauthorized reoccurring fee. It is beyond bad business. I am reporting them to BBB. Save yourself some time, money, and lots of aggravation but never using Deluxe Maid.
