The estimate was reasonable. He professionally repaired current drywall fractures as well as repairs from poor craftsmanship from a previous repair person. Charles replaced all of the trim on 4 doors from again a previous repair. He worked all day on a Friday and came back on a Saturday and worked all day. He finished his work which was spectacular. The installer was called an idiot by the boss and said he was incompetent! The boss then arrived trying to install the screens, bent a frame and confirmed that screens were too big! Said they would return in a few days (wed) I got a no call no show! Si I called and was told now Friday! They came with screens this time too small to fit! So they used tape to make them fit! I called the office about the issue and wanted a discount! The installer lied said that they haven't made multiple trips (5 to be exact) and further said we didn't rig anything we "weather proofed" several weeks expired and no bill ! We assumed discount was free? They finally got a hold of me said my bill was delinquent and charged me more than quoted and no discount! After a discussion I got it only reduced to the original offer! Not satisfied

I'm pretty disappointed in how everything turned out. Had new doors put in our closet and some…read morerooms painted and wood flooring put in. The paint can only be described ad slumlord paint job. There was no prep work done before paint. No patching, no removal of the remaining hardware/hooks, overspray on the bamboo blinds (easy to remove with 2 wind nuts), and ceiling fans. They didn't clean the doors before painting, so they are orange peeled and peeling off. You can see where the trim paint pearled off when they removed the tape form.around the handles and they "touched up" with a brush. The flooring was jacked. To tight around the room and didn't put the flooring under the doors but around it. We tried to have them come and help fix it. But they were not interested. Really sad, we wanted to see them do good, we have so many more projects we need done too! Get referrals from friends, not ppl selling themselves on nextdoor or facebook!

He burned through that money quickly and insisted on more money and time to continue working. We had a serious heart to heart talk and he promised he would complete the original work that was requested while both of us knew he had received way more money than work that was done. He lied to me in telling me that he had already bought all the paint, cabinets, doors, and all trim with the money we had given him. After paying him $40K which was the full original quote, he no longer showed up to the job and would not take my calls. We had to engage another contractor to pick up the absolute mess that he created and ended up paying another 40K to finish the project. I feel very strongly that Jacob Harris stole about $35,000 from my wife and I. I would never consider using JM Handy Services or Jacob Harris for anything! The quality of the work that was done by JM Handy Services was poor at best and had to be redone by the next contractor. NEVER HIRE JACOB HARRIS OR JM HANDY SERVICES FOR ANYTHING!!!
