I will say their plumbers are very professional and I even enjoy their cute little bios that's they text you - very nice touch. That amounts to nothing really if you don't complete the job that is paid for. They did a water leak inspection and charged us $350 to tell us that the leak was likely on our water softer line somewhere. So we called Puragan who quickly came out next day and took a look. They also charged me $0 dollars. It wasn't their lines but they found a line that Roadrunner did not and bam! Guess what we found? Wet ground and eventually the leak. It was on the complete opposite side of the pool. No where near where they said the leak was likely at. We won't be needing a plumber now cause we can fix it with a few parts and some of our own labor. I want to be fair with this review. I do have a very large ranch style house with a pool. It's old and complicated but we love it and are doing our best to bring it back to its former beauty. I'm also not looking for the cheapest option. We just want to hire contractors that give us the quality work that we pay for. Not only that, if you do a good job we will highly recommend your company to others and you will have a repeat customer for as long as we live in SA. Their technician, Raul, arrived and turned the water back on. He saw there was no runoff and explained that the issue likely resulted from a water pressure spike. He measured my line at 110 psi, confirmed water pressure was a concern, and pointed out that the water pressure valve regulator needed to be replaced. Raul then called the insurance company. In his initial report, he only mentioned that the failure was due to high water pressure, but he did not mention the faulty pressure valve regulator, resulting in my claim being denied. After I contacted the insurance company to explain, they reopened the claim so Raul could submit an amended report. This time, he included the pressure valve regulator but claimed that its failure was due to "abnormal" water pressure from the water district. Because he described it as "abnormal," my claim was denied again. I called the San Antonio Water System and confirmed the local pressure goes up to 150 psi, which is why a regulator is necessary, but my Watts valve is rated up to 300 psi. The city's water pressure is not "abnormal"--the regulator was simply faulty. Raul's failure to report the facts clearly and accurately--in both his initial and amended reports--shows a lack of prudence and professional responsibility. His actions led to my claim being denied twice. Why did Raul act as the expert on how SAWS manages its water pressure systems? What qualifies him to make such definitive judgments about city infrastructure? Homeowners expect technicians and their companies to provide fair, honest assessments that truly help resolve issues, not make the process harder.
