I hired Mt Hope for a kitchen renovation. They were the second highest bid on the project and I…read moreexpected that level of quality and workmanship which was not what was received. The project was supposed to begin the first week of march and take only 6 weeks. It actually didn't start till 4/21 and end till the end of July. I had to reach out to Cory due to multiple craftsmanship issues throughout the project. To start with the plumber left awful cutouts in my lazy susan and he tried to pass this off as acceptable. They also damaged the cabinets from needing to take out the dishwasher. When they repaired the back of the lazy susan they had damaged the door. After 6 attempts it still doesn't close correctly and has a huge gap. They ordered the incorrect size sink and the replacement does not fit, I have a half an inch of counter space hanging over the edge. They are unable to do a halfway decent job of caulking. I tried asking 3 times for this to be fixed. They left dug out grout on the backsplash. The backsplash is also a hot mess with uneven spacing. Cory also tried to tell me that it was normal to leave sanding of the walls for the painter, when it is in fact part of my contract that the walls are finished only painting was excluded. Multiple times when leaving they left doors and windows wide open, at one point I actually was not home when they left it like this. I was very lucky not to have somebody break in. Last but not least. I received my final bill which was nearly $1k over what it was supposed to be. I had to dispute this and when I requested copies of the invoices to prove the overages they refused.

Tiago and his team were excellent to work with. The project finished in the expected time and we had no issues communicating with Tiago or getting timely responses. He was as invested in our project as we were, paying attention to detail. The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We would recommend KBR for any project that you might have.
