Do NOT go to this store unless you want to try on shoes and then buy them elsewhere. The people…read morethat work there were very RUDE, not helpful, and actually yelled at me after I tried on shoes with socks they specifically gave me and told me to try them on. They did not say I would then be required to buy the socks, nor was there any signs of any such store policy. They insisted I was required to buy the socks as per MA law (no such law), and the manager was so angry and was yelling at me I was afraid he might become violent. I ended up buying 2 pair of boots at Nordstroms where I was treated like a queen. Their return policy was much more liberal (no time limit as long as shoes are in new condition with sales slip). Why buy goods from a store where the workers/manager are rude and just plain unhelpful and nasty, when you can go to Nordstroms where you feel like you're treated with dignity and kindness?? BTW, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but The Barn chose to ignore it. Had they made an effort to resolve this, I would not have written this review.

All was not lost as Sylvia was helping us and offered several different options for my mom to try. She was super helpful, even helping my mom get the shoes on and lacing them up. I can't remember the last time I've seen that level of assistance in a shoe store. She was absolutely fantastic with my mom, answering questions and even showing her a special way of lacing her sneakers to help prevent heel slippage. My mom ended up getting two pairs of shoes that she said were so comfortable, and raved about Sylvia to the woman at the register. I took a star off as I'm a size 11ish and can rarely find shoes that fit me-most shoes only had sizes up to 10 available, but I'm so glad my mom had such a great experience today.

Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. They helped a guy from over 1100 miles away that is only going to spend $300 dollars like he was the most important customer. Thank you Joe and Tim, I appreciate more than you.

There's an entrance on the front side and a poor woman stood there in the rain for a good ten minutes as five (!!) employees milled around, shrugged, and stared back at her. It started in October and I didn't get my pads until May. I called many times without getting a return call. I had to drive 45 minutes each way to the office on 4 occasions. When I went to pick them up in February the arch was way too high. The owner said she could fix them and wouldn't make new ones. She ground off some of the pad and then said to wear them and get used to them. I tried, but had to take them back. She then said she would grind the bottom of the pad again. She did that while I waited and they were still not comfortable. She said that if last year's pads were comfortable she would make one of them (not all three) to make sure that last year's form was still good. I drove back in to try it and this time the pads were comfortable. After 4 trips of an hour and a half each, many phone calls, many of which weren't returned, and waiting 6.5 months, I finally have the pads that I expected last fall. Never again.

Service was friendly- cashier was nice. And they have restrooms. Plus some of their furniture includes comfy chairs which is great for hubs to sit while I'm shopping. Free parking in the garage!

Can always count on their stores for great finds, for amazing prices. I was not hunting anything in particular today BUT I was met with a great find when I was waiting in the checkout line-- a DryBar Beach Bender Waver, for $56! When I looked the hair tool up on Google, it still showed as full price at other stores, so of course I HAD TO GET IT. I was so excited to use it, it was the first thing I did when I got home. Works perfectly & gives the most beautiful waves. Anyways, back to actually reviewing the store. You never know what you're gonna find at Marshall's. There's an endless amount of great finds to be found here... seriously. Highly recommend! Parking: Parking garages are free to park at Arsenal Yards! ;)
