I wrote this over a year ago, and just noticed it didn't publish. DO NOT DEAL WITH REMAX HOMEBASE!! She doesnt care about us as tenants at all. We rent, because we own a business and do not want to deal with unexpected expenses at home AND work. She's lied to use countless times. The house that we live in had a broken pipe under the crawl space, and we had a horrible infestation of drain flies. Our baby had just been born. When we complained about the smell, she did nothing. When we called about the bugs, dragged her feet. We finally called an exterminator, paid them and took it off the rent. They had to come back. She told us to go ahead and call them. When the company came back out, they billed me. I am having this bill placed on MY credit report as unpaid AFTER 2 1/2 years, because she refuses to take care of it. Even though we KEEP bringing it up to her. The drain flies we're so gross! There were millions of them in the basement! Did she pay someone like Serv-pro to come clean up all the dead bugs? Nope. My husband had to put on fishing waders and a gas mask and crawl in there and spread lime to fix the smell, we had to buy a shop-vac and do it ourselves! Yeah, GROSS! We're currently without A/C in the HOTTEST month of the year (for the 2nd time), when it broke a 2 years ago she had a cheap fix done, instead of having the unit replaced. Now, the unit is totally broken, needs replaced and after almost 2 weeks, it's still not fixed. (of course multiple repairman has been out to look at it). Instead she had someone bring us a weird portable cooling unit (that's designed for portable offices). it doesn't even cool our living room. It's this thing that sits on the floor with tubes going to our living room window... it's so loud we have our TV turned up to 60 volume to hear it.. My children are sweating in their beds tonight as they sleep! Really? Can't go buy a window unit til it's fixed? Cheap cheap We went without A/C for almost a month when our baby was 6 weeks old. The gas fireplace in the "family room" (it's more like a small office) was one of my favorite things about this house, the blower broke, and it still sits un-repaired after 4 years. She outright said it would not be fixed. Over 8 years, I have paid around $96,000 in rents, and had less than $3000.00 in repairs. She lies to repair men, and to us, playing us against each other, while she waits for us to pay rent to either make the repair or pay them for it. We had an electrical problem with the house (an open neutral) fry expensive electronics, did we see anything from that? Nope, we were just out. She actually expected OUR renters insurance to pay. She had a perfectly healthy tree in our back yard cut down, that shaded the patio and the house. Why? Don't know, because the tree at the side of the house that has been dying for years still stands, and the ones in the backyard that have caused me to forbid my children to play on their swing set. She makes it such a pain to approach her about repairs, that either my husband (an AWESOME guy btw) either has to try to fix it himself, or we just go without. The bathroom fan The kitchen light Two electrical outlets Bath tub drain plug... two of our 3 kids still take baths. Flooring in the bathroom and kitchen. We live in Beavercreek. We expect more. We hope to move, but it's very expensive, and difficult to uproot children. This is their home, we've just been stuck. It's hard to pack up and move a 3 bedroom ranch after 8 years. We have A LOT of stuff, and big furniture. Plus, double rent, deposits, utilities.... I really like the guy that owns this house, but he is an absentee owner as he is military and has moved out of state. He has left us in the hands of someone that doesn't give a care about us or his house. If she lies to us, she will lie to you. Yelpers, beware. Buy, Sell, or Rent with someone else. There's other realtors out there. Update: after this review, the dead tree actually fell on my disabled son's aide's car. 2/3 of the 50ft tree. Smashed her car. I'll post a pic if I can...told her it was not covered by insurance. Young girl, older car, home health aide. Basically, her car IS her job. Just out. Car gone, smashed. After we moved, they cut trees, improved the house and LOWERED THE RENT $200! UH! It was vacant for 6 months. Would have been cheaper to do that for us while we continued to pay rent. Dumb. Accused us of damaging a floor that was cheap $.99 vinyl tile and wanted us to pay for better tile. ? We lived there 9 years. No way. We did damage a door with a dog door, but we by fixed the fence, and planting 2 very expensive small trees. 3 years and the exterminator bill is still not paid. That's why I chose to go post this review so long after.

When I moved in I was thorough in checking every inch of the apartment for problems and I detailed every one of them and typed them out because I had heard they tend to screw you out of your deposit. When they did the walk through or move-in audit with me they said that they could only use their forms. They ran out of forms while we were doing the audit and the sales person said that he would take my forms and enter the data in later and send me a copy of the report. This never happened and I had to follow up with them and then they gave me a hard time for giving me a copy of a report I had the right to. When it comes to servicing a problem in your apartment they will take weeks to do it if they come at all. The only thing they are attentive for is something like a leak that has the potential to damage the property. Otherwise, good luck getting them to do things quickly. If you want to complain about their service then you will need to write them a letter and mail it or fax it it. Yeah...they dont have email or you cannot just walk in and have them take a complaint. They will screw you out of your deposit. I cleaned the apartment when I left to the point that it was better than when I had first moved in. The inspector from the office said that it was in very good shape and there was no reason for him to ding me for anything. However when they were all done they knocked off $250 for "partial cleaning" and "steam cleaning" both of which should not be charged. When I called to complain about it, I got the standard spiel - Manager is not available, we do not have voicemail, you will need to type up a letter and mail or fax it in. So I am still fighting with them on this. The good thing is I took pictures. Yes I took pictures because this is how much I distrust this company. Again, there are plenty of other options. Dont get screwed by this company if you have other options and if you do rent from them take photos of the place from when you move in and when you move out.

This agent plays some very unethical games with her clients and their properties to maximize her profit regardless of whom it hurts in the process. Nothing more heart warming than never knowing if you could have had the home of your dreams if the selling agent would have represented everyone equally. I highly recommend that if you are looking for an honest and fair agent that abides by the Realtors code of ethics that you should look elsewhere.
