Jmax Collision & Glass has been helping me with my autobody repairs since I learnt to drive. Over the years they have built a very strong relationship with me. When I came in most recently with damage to my Toyota Camry several things really stood out to me. First off, when I called to book he appointment I was greeted very warmly, they asked if I was okay and made it easy to set up an appointment for my estimate. The shop is "Direct Repair Plus" certified which means I didn't have to go in to MPI, JMax looked after the estimate in-house. When I got there for my estimate they remembered my name and took my car and the estimate only took about an hour, and it was a pretty big accident. They had coffee I could drink and their customer lounge was super clean and comfortable. They told me they would have a free courtesy car out aside for me when they booked my repair appointment which obviously makes life a lot easier and they sounded very knowledgeable when they explained the estimate to me and made me feel at ease with how they would fix my car. When I brought it in to be fixed they had a clean courtesy car ready for me, it was new and probably had even more features than the vehicle I was driving. I was impressed. They kept me in the loo while they fixed my car with messages about when it was being painted and how it was doing and it took the worry about of everything (which is what they've always done). When I got my car back it looks gorgeous... it was perfect, but it wasn't just fixed, it was also the cleanest it had been on the inside and out since I bought it! They vacuumed and conditioned the upholstery, it felt like a new car, I have since banned anyone from eating in it or drinking coffee in it every again because I want it to look spotless forever ! Jmax made the whole process so easy, and I'm so Impressed with how nice my car looks and the fact that they just gave me a brand new car to drive while mine was being repaired. The customer service was exceptional and I felt like the whole team there really wanted to help me. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone and the cleaning almost made the whole accident worthwhile. I've been coming to J-max year after year, Ive had nothing but exceptional customer service, and perfect car care with every visit, I've ever received some fantastic buying advice from the experts at this local shop. My heart was a little broken after I drove away from a downtown restaurant to find both my front and rear driver side doors of MY NEW INFINITI keyed mercilessly, people are cruel ... I won't claim I didn't cry... I did manage to stifle the sound of my ugly sobs by blasting blank space by t-swift and singing through the pain until I arrived at J-max... of course to any on lookers who's attention was caught by the sheer volume of the music as I passed by it likely looked like I was simply singing along to tween pop music an brought to tears overcome by joy due to the smooth velvety appeal of Taylor's sweet voice, maybe one day she will write a song for me ... I just pray to god no one caught me with a dash cam.. but I digress. I pulled up to j-max and managed to stammer "pull yourself together you fool" to myself before I entered the shop, I was greeted with enough kindness that I was nearly brought to tears all over again, but as one of the sensitive gentleman at the front desk gestured for me to hand over the keys and smiled with his eyes, as if the whisper to my soul.. you're going to be alright now... Now of course things did not actually happen exactly like that, but my most recent visit to J-max was because my car got keyed and my vehicle was returned to me looking brand spankin new and was cleaner than clean... another great experience from Winnipeg's best! read more

The whole Jmax team was so great to work with! MPI recommended I give them a try and that they were certified with the direct repair plus program. They were able to estimate my vehcile for me and it was quick and they were thorough and answered all my questions. The customer service was the best I've had anywhere in a long time and their waiting area was really nice. The work was exceptional, my car looked like it had never been hit, body lines and gaps were perfect and THEY CLEANED IT! Like really cleaned it, it looked like a war zone before I brought it there and when I got it back it looked like some sort of Martha Stewart "clean car" editorial. Oh and even though I don't have loss of use insurance and the accident was totally my fault, they gave me a courtesy car (It was a 2017 Toyota Camry) That seems about as good as service gets, friendly folks, great work, no regrets. My car was damaged in a hit and run incident. A number of friends and acquaintances referred me to J Max. After getting such great feed back from the personal experiences of others and the outstanding reviews on their website, I decided to take my car here for repair. Both the customer service and quality workmanship were outstanding. My whole experience from start to finish was extremely easy and pleasant. An added bonus was the courtesy car provided to me which was running and warm upon my arrival to drop off my vehicle. My car is 9 years old and came back looking as it did from the day I bought it, like brand new! And not only was the exterior looking amazing, but they also went the extra mile to clean the interior. I would only give them 1/2 a star if I could. Horrible work. Took my car for an autopac claim and wanted some other stuff looked at. Had told them the problem that I wanted looked into. Had my car for over a month to do some minor body work and have the brakes changed. Get my car back and the issues I told them about were not even looked at. Called MPI and the took my car back. They kept it for another 3 days and then charged me for an alignment and an oil change. When I mentioned that the alignment should have been covered by accident told to bad even MPI decided to agree and then told to bad about oil change that they charged me $70 and tried saying that was cheap. They did something to my car and I have to take it somewhere else now and have the issues looked at. NEVER GO HERE if you want quality work done. read more

J Max is the BEST place in Winnipeg (or Manitoba!) for autobody and mechanical repairs. I've tried other places, but I only trust J MAx with my car these days ... I've been going here for years, with 3 different vehicles, and they've always given me top-tier service. Meanwhile, their pricing is really fair (far better than Boyd!). The owner, Joel, is onsite every time I've been there, and him and his staff are always very pleasant, even when they're busy. They're careful to always outline my options before doing the work required, and always take the time to explain everything to me before I have to make any decisions. They are low-pressure and extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend J Max to my friends and colleagues... they are the best! read more

From start to finish JMax exceeded my expectations. It is evident that JMax employees genuinely want to ensure you have a positive experience while your vehicle is being repaired. Beginning with excellent customer service, a clean courtesy car, and updates on the progress of my repairs - my experience was very positive. However, the most impressive aspect of my experience was the quality of the repair, the immaculate detailing of the interior of my care, and the fact that they touched up rust spots on my vehicle for me. Just Got my car back, and I have not been able to stop with the raves about the job they did. The truck has not looked or driven as well as the 1st day I bought it. They even detailed the inside and did little repairs like my door seals and presented it back to me like a gift. I could not be more pleased with the friendly fast sevice and it was totally uncomplicated and stress free at liest on my part. Ha! Ha! I had the option to do a direct repair on my vehicle and I am extremely happy that I decided to go with J-Max. I have been to many bodyshops around Winnipeg and J-Max is hands down the best experience I have had.. I had to write them a Yelp review. I brought my 2016 Honda Civic in after sliding into a snowbank and smashing the bumper and fender. Brent helped me out at the front and I was kept informed from start to finish. I have been doing business here for many years but had a very bad customer service issue this past month. After i wrote a letter to the Manager to complain, i got absolutely no response. i will never go here again nor will i endorse this place to anyone i come in contact with where i work or otherwise. in fact i will go to lengths to tell people how crooked they are. I just picked up my motorcycle tank and fenders from J-Max, I think they look better now then they did when new. I have always taken my vehicle to Joel at J-Max because I love the work they do. Whenever someone asks me if I know of a good body shop I tell them no but I do know of a great body shop and that's J-Max. I don't normally like referring people to other business's but I never hesitate when it comes to J-Max because of their quality work and service. read more

January 28, 2026 On the recommendation of Troy from JJJ Auto, I went to J Max Collision & Glass yesterday to see about a problem with the locking mechanism on my from driver's side door. George quickly helped me and was able to get the automatic lock working again. George was very pleasant and efficient. these guys are fantastic , been seeing them for 25 years. have had many many claims with them. they do their best to satisfy you 100% . Yes sometimes they can bequite busy and not have a loaner car available instantly but they do the ir best to get you one they are very busy but obviously they cant have 100 vehicles to loan out. if you ar a little patient and make appointment and they will take care of you 100 percent... read more

J-Max is where I take my car every time (and unfortunately, I have had to take it in quite a bit due to a string of crappy luck over the last year). They are always extremely efficient in setting me up with a courtesy car, send text updates throughout the process, and the work/detailing always makes me feel like I have a brand new car. Great customer service and a job well done! They really go above and beyond. They gave me a car to drive while mine was being fixed, installed new headlamps at my request, and my car was returned in immaculate condition! Recently brought my an to them for autopac claim. Was impressed with the courtesy of the staff. They kept me up to date with the progress of the van via text message. They completed the repairs to the vehicle quicker than expected. Was very impressed with how clean the van was inside and outside when I picked it up.
