My stylist was very nice about trying to fix and give me curtain bangs, but I feel like they were more like normal bangs without face framing. At that point I just left before my hair was cut shorter. I like my hair overall and maybe next time I should be more clear. Pretty good service, a little pricey, but a nice salon. I did have to go home and use my hair scissors to add more framing to my face. But maybe that was just me haha.

I walked in, and was not by any means greeted with kindness...you would have thought I must have looked like I was going to rob the place with the way/tone I was greeted with. I was a little taken aback, but I understand sometimes greetings can be difficult. I walk up to the desk, and explain to the lady that I wanted to do something special for my mom's birthday on a Monday. I don't come to salons often, so I was truly just looking for some KIND insight. Instead of really being any help at all, let alone kind, the lady (in my opinion) very rudely says, "WELL, we aren't even open on monday. Most salons aren't open on Monday." Like I said, I am not at salons often, which I thought I made obvious with my humble questions I asked her initially. Instead of a comforting, kinda response, she talks to me in a tone and (i also think the response) as if I'm stupid. Call me crazy, but if you want people's business, maybe consider not making the customer feel stupid. I'm sure maybe the services they offer here are probably done fine, but I can tell you right now kindness goes a long way. I can truly say I dodged a bullet by not giving this business my money--let alone taking my mom here for her birthday.

I made an appointment here with Dana Scott on the reference of a co-worker. I have a few hair…read morestylist that I like but didn't want to drive an hour and half to get my hair cut and highlighted for my wedding. Well that was mistake number one! I went in and showed her exactly what I wanted with multiple pictures and she cut my hair. When she was through I commented that there was not many highlights and she said it was the lighting. I said okay. The next morning I got up to do my hair and it was cut uneven on the sides! I called and let her know. She stated before I left if after a day or two I wasn't happy with it to call her and she would fix it at no charge. Saturday after work I went in and at this point I was a bit nervous about her cutting my hair again as it was not done right the first time and I had little hair left and wedding a week away! I asked for a refund on the cut and was told to sit in the chair. She flat ironed it some more and said it looks dead on from the back! I was like the front is not! She continued to make excuses as to why the cut was not straight maybe because I was playing on my iPad and looking down! Well, hello I've always had hair stylist ASK me to look up when they needed to or whatever with no problem! My neck is not the straightest either but again I've ALWAYS had a stylist ASK for me to move my neck in such a way that it was straight for them! She however does an AMAZING job on eye brows!

My last haircut was in early-October but my hair still looks good though it is covering my nape by now. This is always how I gauge the skill of the stylist. If my hair starts looking disheveled just 4 weeks after the haircut, then that person isn't good enough for me. Twice now with Gina, the new Sheek stylist, I've gone 2 months before I had to get a haircut. I also don't need to do much to style it: a little gel or oil, fluff up the strands, air dry and go. I don't have time to fuss with my hair in the mornings. Gina is Korean, but I had no trouble communicating with her. It sounds like she has been living and working in the United States for a while now so she is proficient in English. I recommend this hair salon.
