Went to Bliss Salon & Spa for a much needed facial! Working on getting my skin extra glowing and beautiful for my upcoming wedding. I was able to book a same day appointment which was nice. It was a bit hard to find the entrance to the salon, but once inside it was cute and cozy. The front desk gal had me fill out some paperwork and then I went down stairs where the spa location is. The aesthetician who did my facial was pleasant and did a good job. Full hour service, which included hydration, exfoliation, mask, massage. Skin felt really good afterwards. Price was $65 which is reasonable for an hour facial. Unfortunately tip cannot be added on the card, and it's a bit of a hassle to add on a tip if one does not have cash. Good to know for next time. Would recommend - although it would be helpful for them to indicate where the front door is! read more

went to bliss for years. my hair cut was $32. then out of the blue, my beautician said they were going to increase prices. i told her i understood, since everything seems to be increasing. then she said my $32 haircut would be $64 my next visit. i have not returned since. extremely disappointed. read more

I love Bliss salon, Hope Does my hair. I have crap hair it was the hair I was born with it is fine and stringy. Now that I'm over 50 it is also very gray. Hope works miracles. I always leave that salon feeling really cute. Thank you for my new found confidence. read more

My stylist was the owner, Beth. Having never gone before, I didn't know what exactly to expect but I had heard good things about this salon so I was hopeful. Beth took care of me, made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and constantly asked if I was liking how it was looking while it was being done. The salon is very clean and very nicely decorated. I have never been so in love with a salon in my life. I've always settled for a haircut to get me through the split ends, but every stylist I'd been to could never deliver what I asked for. The very first time I went to Bliss, I found my stylist who not only took my vague "just make it look decent and easy to style" and actually gave me a style I loved! Even when I had a hair emergency, the staff was able to magically squeeze me in and fix the color crisis that had occurred. They're wonderful, friendly, and worth every penny! I met with the owner of Bliss, Beth, and she reassured me that she would be able to fix my hair and walked me through the process. She did also offer me a refund if I wanted it, but did ask to be given a chance to rescue my hair. I accepted her offer and I am happy I did because she fixed the issue in one sitting. I was treated fairly and respectfully and I would trust her to do my hair again. She also offered to touch up my roots within two months, free of charge. I contacted Bliss at the last minute to see if I would be able to make a same-day appointment because I was in the mood to do something different with my hair. I very rarely will get my hair cut, but I acted on this impulse and decided to go for it. I was scheduled with Hope, and when I arrived I showed her a couple of pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like. I told her how nervous I was, and she listened to me and my requests. My hair turned out perfectly and Hope did an amazing job! I had been to Bliss once prior, but only for a trim. This was the first time that I had received a fully cut and style and I could not be happier! read more

!!!!!!!!!!!!!WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went on my birthday, and asked for subtle blond high and low lights for dimensions and got a total ombre hair. I even showed pics on my tablet (one of them was Jennifer Aniston's hair). I have never thought of her with ombre! Not only that but when I parted my hair down the middle there was a chunk or block cut about an inch wide that was a totally unwearable and embarrassing. I was a little freaked out, and totally disappointing. (I took pictures of all this). I called back the following morning and a lady at the desk (not sure who, they wouldn't tell me). She said come in that coming Monday and they will fix it. I expressed to her that was literally scared!! Mystery woman seemed to understand and said nothing but to come in and fix it! I even had to ask to go to another lady. I thought they would offer me someone with a better technique/skills at least. I showed up and the new stylist took note of the mistakes. I showed her the same pictures from yesterday on my tablet. She said we could use lightening color to blend the two colors better to make them more natural. She did what she could with the block cut on my bang (I did not have bangs or want them). She could only use texture scissors on the block cut to blend. But it was not fixable. She said it just has to grow. Then to top it off they WANTED ME TO PAY THEM $75. I was shocked, embarrassed, and so confused!! I said I would have never come back to have it fixed if I knew they were charging me!!!! I showed her the same pics of what I wanted, and she said sorry but I wasn't there when you showed her those pictures!!!! I was so upset!! She was very cold and not consoling at all! Finally after auguring for a few minuets that I was not given what I asked for in the pics, she said WE CAN JUST CALL IT A WASH! NO APOLOGIES!! I walked right out!! Mad and upset! How embarrassing!!!!! I still have a block cut, and I just got a better look in my mirror and I have perfect zebra stripes evenly separated on top of my head!!!! SO so so disappointing. I paid $100 for this too!!! I WANT A REFUND AND AND APOLOGY. Two trips across town, bad cut, bad highlights!!! I just had my hair cut at this salon and was VERY UNHAPPY! Cindi cut my hair. My bangs are not properly cut and the angeling around my face is very uneven. I just moved back into town and went to this salon by chance. I called back to the salon and told them I was not satisfied. They told me she could cut it again with no further options. I told them I did not want her to touch my hair again. The salon said there was nothing else they would do. No refund or offter to have someone else correct my hair. Have previously gotten mani and pedi there, so decided to get my hair done. It did not turn out well. But where Bliss truly shined was their handling of the situation-they refunded my card without me asking, the owner (Bethany) reached out and personally invited me back to get my hair fixed, which she did for free and also gave me a deep conditioning treatment for free. She was so nice and explained what went wrong and how we could make it better. I walked out loving my hair. We all make mistakes at work, it's part of life. Since I moved here I hadn't really found a good match for me when it came to a good salon and stylist. I went into Bliss after seeing good reviews on good with a disaster of a haircut, and Bethany worked a miracle. I never had a stylist that listened so well to what I wanted and took so much time to ensure we had the same vision. She was very thoughtful in her styling based on what worked with my hair. She took so much time with me too! I never felt like she was rushing, I could tell she wanted to get it perfect and she succeeded. I haven't been this happy with a cut in years!! I highly recommend this salon and Bethany in particular. The rest of the staff seemed great as well and seemed like they all enjoyed working there and together. Overall fantastic experience. I love Amber! And Bliss! This place is so relaxing and inviting. I was searching for a salon when I first came to the West Lafayette area. And I just fell in love. I have come back time and time again for hair cuts, stylings and waxes. I have gotten several hair colorings here and it is awesome! Amber is an amazing colorist and has done dark brunette, burgundy/red/plum color, and even an ombre and I love all of them. I highly suggest going here if you enjoy awesome women and a great hair. I had a terrible week. Found myself with a few hours free and just wanted to be pampered. I found Bliss online, read about their services, and decided to call to see if they had immediate availability for ANYTHING at all! They said they could get me in for a haircut, so in I went. It was by far the best part of my week. I was with Hope (how fitting was that?!) and she was fantastic. The massage during my shampoo was SO relaxing, then she cut and restyled my hair and I LOVE it. The price was (I thought) very reasonable for what I received. I've already made my next appointment. I'm thinking about my first mani/pedi, since Hope does those too. I will absolutely go here again. I stopped in this morning as a last-minute-ohmygod my hair is rough appointment, and I will be going back in 4 months. Bethany Tyrrell (owner/hair cut, color, and stylist extraordinaire) was incredibly helpful, and knew what I wanted I think even more than I knew what I wanted. I went in knowing that I was in love with the ombré style (I have naturally lightish blonde hair), and Bethany not only made my hair look PHENOMENAL color-wise, but she also evened out my layers, and helped me out with just getting to know my hair color and style (again, I am new to this whole thing). The receptionist was incredibly sweet, and I enjoyed talking to her (I am blanking on her name, but she was awesome). I recommend this salon to anyone and everyone - they can do magical things at very affordable prices. read more

I decided to treat myself to a day at the spa for my 50th birthday. I opted for the Escape to Bliss package (massage, facial, manicure, pedicure) for $145, half of which was charged to my credit card when I made the reservation. The massage and facial were very relaxing, exactly what I needed. There is not a nail person per se on staff; one of the hair stylists does nails between hair clients. And they don't have dryers for your nails. I'm not talking about the units for gels - I mean a regular, hot air, light kind of dryer every other nail place has. You need to get anything you will need for the next 20 minutes out of your purse before you begin because your nails will be wet. That was little stressful. But the biggest stress was the check-out. First, you can't put tips on your card, so bring cash. Bliss should probably post that on their website. Second, watch the charges. I was charged $175 for a $145 service. The manager managed to correct that. But then they charged the $145 charge on top of the earlier $72.50 deposit. When I pointed it out to the receptionist, she assured me no deposit had been made. After waiting 20 minutes for my nails to dry, I was able to access my credit card account and yes, it had been charged. They attempted to charge me $247.50 for a $145 service. Errr. Stress back now! They did eventually correct it, after a couple of long distance phone calls. Just buyer beware. Bring proof of deposit and watch what you're charged at check-out. read more
