Omg I cannot say enough good things about this place. We've been cooped up all year so I started searching for petting zoos in the area, just to get the kids out of the house for a day. I called and spoke with Kathy and she told me all about the facility and the activities and that they also had private parties. Well since my son was turning 4 in a few weeks I thought it would be a good idea to book his party there. BOY WAS I RIGHT! We had a 3 hour party and it was fantastic. They move like a well oiled machine. Completely organized and professional as well as great with the kids. They give you options of different food you can bring or they can barbecue for you, so we went for that option and bought some frozen burger patties and hot dogs. We had some fruit, potato salad, chips and condiments prepared to go with it. Kathy goes over all the details on the phone with you and then again in person when you go to sign the contract and tour the place. So as soon as we pull up (about 15 min prior to the start) the team unloads everything from your car right at the entrance. The first hour or so is unlimited pony rides for the kids (under 80lbs which she made clear in advance). They had so much fun riding the ponies Dolly and Vegas (that might not be her full name so forgive me lol). They had a sweet little black bunny put in a cage where the kids can jump in one at a time and pet her. The kids also went in to the little goat house to play with the goats, then we went to feed the chickens. They made sure to get the kids together for some group photos and after last call for pony rides it's time to eat. Before we eat they take all the kids to the water pump to wash their hands cowboy style lol. They cook all the food for you and serve you as well. They set up all the condiments and sides that we brought very neat and organized. It was very clean and everyone had gloves and masks on. After we ate we went to some benches and did present time. Once we finished the gifts we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and made s'mores. The last thing we did was sing happy birthday. They even cut the cake and serve it for you as well. After the cake before we left the kids enjoyed a "hay hunt" where the staff hid candy in hay bales and the kids got to go on the candy hunt. After that they personally pack up EVERYTHING including the gifts and put it back in your car. I cannot say enough about Kathy and her team. They really do everything so for once the parents can actually hang out and enjoy the party too! What a fantastic place and experience. Would recommend and give 10 stars if I could. THIS IS A HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT! I came here with a friend (1 adult 2 kids) (the adult is one younger girls dad, the other kid is my daughter and just told me about the experience). Kathleen was late. When we went to see the animals she only cared about the younger girl. We went to the pony first. When we went she said the older girl couldn't ride the pony even though she was 75 pounds not over. She still let her but when she was trying to get on she changed her mind and said that she had to walk the pony. When she walked the pony the pony it rubbed the older girl and Kathleen was yelling at the older girl to push the pony away when she did that. She was yelling at the older girl the entire time. She yelled a little at the younger girl too but not as much. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

!!!THEY NO LONGER DO TUESDAYS AT THE FARM!!! And no "no school days!!" This place is now private appointment only. No where did I see this information on their website, on yelp reviews, or on Facebook. I checked all of those things because we hadn't been in a few years and wanted to make sure it was still a thing! Arrived at 9:50 this morning and it looked like a ghost town, but since they didn't open till 10 I just thought well maybe no one else gets here right at open... but, I did try to call, no answer. Waited, at 10 gate was still locked up. Called again and got an answer and was told they no longer do that and they can't change their website. Cool place. Today was the second birthday party we attended in this place and the kids had a blast. Pony rides, petting zoo, monkey bar/small playground area and awesome ranch vibes. Like it a lot, like the fact it stands out from the crowd in vegas' kids activities places. Points of improvement: 1. Add a larger entrance sign! 2. Food could have came out quicker. We just had my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and Kathleen was absolutely amazing. Super sweet, super attentive, and so great with the kids! We felt very welcome and she really took care of us so we didn't have to worry about anything and just enjoy the party. I highly recommend this adorable place! The ponies and goats were great and all the kids had a blast. The animals are also very loved and well taken care of! If you go here, don't forget to tip! It's expensive taking care of all of those wonderful animals and hard work! I am so happy with how this party turned out. They made the whole process very easy. I came for a 5 year old birthday party today and for those few hours, I completely forgot that we were in Las Vegas. As we watched the kids help feed the farm animals, help groom the ponies and get them saddled up, and go on pony rides- we were transported to a dude ranch in Montana. This place is adorable and there are so many farm animals including horses, pigs, chickens, peacocks, bunnies, turtles, llamas, goats, ducks, and birds. All of the animals are tame and used to being around children. This was my first time here and I am so bummed that I only visited it now- because it is truly a delight to let the family experience this simple way of life. The farm is owned by a mother daughter team and they have been living there for 50 years now. The daughter was the one running the show today with her excellent staff of "cowboys and cowgirls" and the party was so organized and just a well oiled machine. It is obvious that they have been doing this for awhile. There are plenty of tables and shady areas, but we got lucky with fantastic weather today. They also provided lunch- grilling up some burgers and hot dogs, with sides of potato salad, chips, fruits, and veggies. Everything was fantastic. And all of the leftovers (remember these are 5 year olds) were placed in a big tub that was then fed to the pigs. It was quite disgusting, but also mesmerizing to watch! It's nice to know that nothing goes to waste. Not only do they do parties, but they also have weekly western day camps during the summer. During the school year, they have an open petting zoo and pony rides on Tuesdays and no-school days for only $5! The next ones are May 22nd and 27th before the summer programs start. They even do Western Weddings if that is your hearts desire. The kids had a blast, and so did I. I am a true city girl, so it was so nice to escape for a few hours and experience life on a farm. If I could give 10 stars, I would!!! This is actually our second party with J.R. Pony Parties! We had one for our oldest daughter's third birthday, and it was so awesome that we had to do it again for our youngest daughter. Cathy runs a highly organized party, and the kids have a blast! We throw our girls a party each year but this is by far the best on the long list of parties for both of our girls All we do is bring the food, drinks, and cake. Cathy and her small team unload the car, prepare the food, set everything up, and take everything down. The kids are given endless pony rides (The birthday girl/boy gets their choice of pony) they get to play in the goat pen, they get to feed the chickens, they feed the pig...there are too many awesome activities to list without this post going on too long. The kids get three full hours to play on a farm that is made just for them! Both of our parties (5 years apart) were run exactly the same, and they went off without a hitch! I highly recommend J.R. I don't really leave bad reviews but I was so excited to find this place because I had been wanting to see animals for a few weeks now, I called and a lady answered and I told the lady that I was looking to make a reservation to come in into the petting zoo to see the animals she then goes on to ask "are you having a birthday party" I said no just me and my boyfriend would like to come see the animals she then asks if I was a mom and had kids I said no i'm only 19 years old I just wanted to come see the animals because I love animals she says "I would rather make a reservation to people who have a family" and then hung up on me. I didn't know in order to see animals I had to have a family. I'm 19 and I love animals I should be able to see them too, I hope you learn from this and let people who don't have kids be able to come have fun too. :/ read more

They split the groups up, one for big kids and another for little kids and brought 2 ponies out. The great thing about here is that they have many animals for the children to check out and the space itself is large and open s all the kiddie can run around! They have a cute large set up for photos and a cool place that they cook your food to serve. In addition they have many seating areas and shade in case its a little too warm outside. I scheduled a private visit here for my kiddos. The owner was very sweet when I called about inquiring on schedule to bring my kids. She fit us in right away, even during her summer program. I was a bit can confused on the entrance, but she did warn me over the phone and I did just as she instructed by going around to the other way Google took me to. She gave my kids one to one attention on riding the pony and then took us to each of the animals stalls to pet and feed them. My daughter even got to go inside of the goat pen and pet the kids. We came here for the first time for a Birthday party last weekend. First off, I was impressed by the embossed invitations we received. When we arrived, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and were very good with the kids. Parents got to relax and enjoy conversation, while kids were thoroughly engaged and learned how to respect and care for the animals. They had a petting zoo, and also plenty of other animals to see. Booked a party for my daughters birthday back in February for June. I text the owner to confirm that she would still be making it, and no response at all. Something in my gut told me to confirm this party before I spent hundreds more on decorations and food. I know that she read it considering she has an iPhone and had her read receipts on. So this morning I text her again stating that I was going to cancel since I have zero faith now that she will actually show up to my daughters birthday, considering she can't even send me a text back to confirm. DO NOT BOOK YOUR CHILDRENS BIRTHDAY PARTIES WITH THIS WOMEN! She not only did not respond again to the last text message, (read receipt on) but didn't apologize either for being so unprofessional. I'm in a lot of mom groups on Facebook with thousands of members ,where we all ask for advice, and give recommendations on things such as places for birthday parties or to do. I definitely will warn anyone not to use this company. I am now using Vegas pony parties, and feel a lot better about my choice. The pictures in here do not do justice to this delightful little farm. When I first checked out the place I fell in love with the charming layout and little details sprinkled everywhere. My lil man and our guests all had an awesome time here and if you are planning your party, here are a few things that may help you. The package: The rental of the place is less than $500 for 3 hours on a weekend. You can get the morning or afternoon schedule. All you have to worry about is setting up decorations (which they help you with). From the moment you arrive, everything is unloaded from your car and packed away. The entire party is planned with activities revolving around the animals on the farm, someone grills ayour food on the chuck wagon and serves it up, and finally everything is loaded very quickly back in your car. Easy breezy. The program: These people are pros who follow a strict program and even stricter rules when it concerns their animals and the safety of the children, but considering the tons of parties they've had, you could see a genuine love for kids and animals. The head honcho miss Kathleen will hold your bday boy/girl's hand throughout most of the activities and make sure he/she is comfortable and happy. They start off with farm chores - feeding the sheep, goats, llamas, chickens. Then after the chores, they get ready for the pony rides by grooming and saddling up the ponies. Then each kid gets their turn at riding the ponies. After the cool pony rides, everyone is gathered for a group shot by the gazebo. After sanitizing and washing hands at the farm pump, it's eating time! Then kids have time to roam and explore the other toys and animals on the farm. My son especially loved the rocking horses and tortoises. I opted to leave out the opening of presents so we'd have more time to relax and enjoy the farm, but they are willing to accommodate your program wishes, and are quite thorough with coordinating and execution. Before the party wrapped up, there was a find-the-candy-hidden-in-hay which all the kids enjoyed. It was a day filled with education and fun! Priceless. Few things you have to keep in mind when planning your party in this venue: 1. You have a very small window to ingress (to set up your party), around 15 minutes only. Make sure you get there on time and organize your decor/food well and coordinate with Kathleen prior to the party. The morning schedule might buy you a little more time to set up but wish I had more time to sleep and got the afternoon schedule instead. If you aren't a stickler for décor and details like me, just show up, sit back and relax because they do everything for you! 2. You unfortunately cannot set-up a food or main table displaying goodies. Food is brought out when it is time to eat because this is a farm attracting birds and bees. There are always bees hovering around the drinks and sweets, so everything has to be enclosed. This is the outdoors, so you must be prepared for the elements. Since the food is only served at the chuck wagon, you won't have any heat source. The food that they grill for you will be placed somewhere and won't be very hot when served. So bring your food warm and try to plan your menu with this in mind. There is a fridge and freezer for cold food and items such as ice and ice cream. 3. Make sure the kids wear closed toe shoes and clothes that stand up to hay and heat. Ask questions about the animals. Like why some chickens have a feather crown on their heads, it's because their foreigners called Poland called Polish hens, or get to know Jelly, the 20 year old pot bellied pig who still has a voracious appetite. There are goats, rabbits, ducks, birds, sheep and many other animals to keep them entertained. There is also a fire pit where they can roast marshmallows if the weather isn't too hot. This is a little gem in Vegas and will be a real treat for any child. Please don't forget to tip the awesome crew when your party is done because they truly are rockstars. I forgot something during the party and Miss Kathleen offered to drop it off at my place. You rarely meet those kinds of people anymore, so have your party here and you might get lucky. This was the best birthday party ever! The staff was very organized, kind and the kids loved them. There was so much to do. For the kids, they got unlimited rides on the pony for an hour and a half which after awhile the kids were into the goats, rabbits, playground and birds. As soon as one child mention they were hubgry, food was ready and orderly served in an amazing spread. So much to say. The whole day was amazing for the kids. For the parents, all you need to do is pull up and open the truck and take pictures! I am so impress. If your children are into animals, this will be an adventure they won't forget! This party business is completely unprofessional. Rarely do I leave scathing reviews, but I am truly shocked by Cathleen's lack of sensibility towards an 8 year old child. First off, this was supposed to be a "unicorn" themed birthday party. My sister called Jr. Pony Parties after reading the positive reviews online. Cathleen sounded very enthusiastic and genuine over the phone. We requested to have Cathleen's ponies to be costumed to resemble a unicorn. It sounds silly, but a kid will be a kid! Cathleen was amiable towards the idea and assured me she would be able to make arrangements. On the day of my niece's birthday party, all of our guests were elated and the children joyously greeted Cathleen and her assistant. So far so good. However, when she brought out the ponies they had not been dressed as we had discussed over the phone, because Catherine said she had had a long night, did not get home until midnight and she had forgotten. I was sympathetic towards this and did not make a big deal over it. Everything resumed and the children began riding the ponies. When it came time for my youngest cousin to ride the pony, Cathleen said her horses had an 80 pound weight limit and they were tired from being at a fall carnival the day prior. Cathleen blatantly implied that my cousin did not look like she was under the 80 pound limit and also stated she had many years of experience therefore she was reasonably using "good judgement." Surely we understood this was protocol for safety reasons. However, her lack of compassion and sensibility as she said this in front of ALL the parents and children made my cousin run inside to sit in the living room alone. My niece, the birthday girl, overheard this remark and felt bad and said she did not want to ride the pony a second time although we had paid for a full hour of pony rides. Both my niece and cousin felt hurt by this ignorant interchange in front of so many families. Obviously this was completely embarrassing for her! As if crushing a child's self esteem weren't enough, the rest of the day was awkward for all of us. When the petting zoo was finally set up, Cathleen was apathetic the remainder of the party. She seemed very disinterested when the children asked her questions about the animals. She obviously did not want to be there. Her lack of emotion and her demeanor overall was completely unprofessional and left our birthday girl and my youngest cousin feeling really upset. My cousin did not participate in any activities after this, because she was so embarrassed to be around other children. All of this was completely mind boggling. Parents, don't be fooled into thinking Jr Pony Rides will bring a joyous experience for your next children's birthday party. Cathleen was nothing like the person she made herself to be over the phone and I am truly saddened and disappointed by this experience. Lastly, she did not follow through with our arrangements but still I gave her the benefit of the doubt after she excused herself for being "tired" and "forgetting" on her way to my event. What a magical place! I found this place on yelp and thought that my daughter's 7th birthday may finally have a venue. I called and left a message for Cowgirl Kathy(CK)and she promptly called me back. After a nice conversation I asked if I could give a credit card over the phone. CK said they were a little old fashion and I could send a check or encouraged me to come out, see the farm, and sign a contract. I headed out that afternoon, I don't know why I was thinking it was far, it is down the street from Springs Preserve. Walking around this place for a tour, I was blown away, cute beyond words. Chickens, rabbits, goats on climbing frame that kids can get all over. Pigs, peacocks and of course PONIES! Needless to say we booked the 10 am party (on weekend they do 2 parties a day, 10-1 and 2-5) CK said arrival by 9:30 would be plenty of time. You ring your own food and hand it over, they do EVERYTHING. I got there 10 minutes to 10:00 and they did it all and made me look like a rockstar. They have these parties down, the kids (we had over 20) totally captivated and engaged from beginning to end. Parents were encouraged to enjoy and relax. A mom's birthday dream.
