So I had to do the work to call Moda, and even the pharmacy where the injection comes from called me, before I got an approval letter for it. ROC said that they don't carry what was approved. What??????!!! Even Moda was confused. I'm just going to go to another orthopedic. I can't even call to talk to someone. Whoever replies to the texts lacks customer service. It has been about two weeks since I was there!! So Moda said to try someone else. Funny, they mentioned to me that ROC advertised Euflexxa. Tell your employees then. Everything went smoothly and my recovery went very well, so when I tore a tendon in my right shoulder playing golf last spring, I returned to his office for treatment. My surgery was originally scheduled for October, but my insurance company denied the claim because there were "no doctor notes attached." The office had 30 days to resubmit the claim, but they did not do so. The surgery was then rescheduled for early March. Before the procedure, my primary care physician ordered my pre-op labs and told me the surgery needed to be completed within 30 days of the lab work. The lab staff confirmed the same information. I called and emailed Dr. Bowman's office to let them know my labs had been completed, but I did not hear back for two weeks. When they finally contacted me, the surgery date they offered was beyond the 30-day timeframe. When I questioned this, the woman I spoke with told me, "Oh, that's okay, we do surgeries up to 90 days after labs are taken." I explained that both my doctor and the lab had told me otherwise, but she insisted they were wrong. After the problems with the insurance authorization, the lack of communication, and the conflicting information regarding pre-op requirements, I decided to seek care elsewhere.

Only barely 3 figures. We never even received a bill or late notice. They have also sent an amount to collections for me (mid 2 figures, not a joke) for something I have no record of. We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. I would sue them myself if not for the fact that unlike them I am mature enough not to care about such petty amounts. Let's all hope the desperation is a sign of imminent failure of their business.

From my first visit I have been very pleased with most of the interactions with staff and Doctors here. Specifically, Veronica the MA in the orthopedic clinic, Dr. Hwang and his PA Michael Cunningham as well as Heidi Tyson my rehab therapist are all excellent. My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

Staff is over the top professional. On another occasion, I also had a bone spur in my shoulder that was more painful than childbirth!
