After battling Dr Tatsumi's office staff, one of whom (Jocelyn?) lied directly to me on Friday 9/27 and told me they do not take MVA PIPs (Dr Tatsumi confirmed they do), Dr Tatsumi reached out directly. I thought it was incredibly considerate, I was impressed, and mostly I was grateful and excited to be getting the opportunity to meet with Dr Tatsumi. He noted he was directing one of his staff, Alana, to contact me the next day (10/1) to schedule. They did not contact me, so I called them - a repeat already of what I'd just experienced. Alana notes she cannot do it, it has to go back to new patient intake/ referral role (Angela). The same staff member who couldn't process my referral for a week previously. So now I'm waiting on Angela to call. She does not. I call back Wed 10/2 and again feel I am driving the progress rather than the office following through with a request from Dr Tatsumi. The important thing is I get an appt to see him 10/11 and that is what matters. We have our discussion, which is private and not for public consumption. See attached pic about a doctor publicly posting about a patient. Granted, it's the AI generated answer, but one of my medical providers said essentially the same. This doctor goes on Yelp the same day I see him to respond to my review, notes I was there for a visit, references my (private) recovery path, and then notes who my insurance company is. I do not understand what is wrong with this business and now doctor. It's hard to picture the five star experiences I've read. Why are you posting any personal care information on a public review forum? You should be more sensitive to and adherent/knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements than I am. This office can't return or make a call in a timely fashion, but this surgeon has time to be on Yelp the same day we meet and publicly respond to my post? My true perception after several days of reflection is: he did not intend to take me on as a patient, but saw me and then replied here so the public would know as a way to balance the scathing review I left. I am appalled he would publicly share a single thing we discussed.

Bionic Bumblebee

Dr Tatsumi and his staff were able to quickly identify my cervical spine issue and schedule me for surgery with a few days. I had previously spent several months in pain, seen multiple providers and clinics, and was becoming desperate for help. The staff was kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. My husband and I continue to be very grateful for their knowledge, kindness, professionalism, and compassion. I am including a picture of the tattoo that we designed and had placed to honor the hardware that repaired C5-6.

Before Dr. Tatsumi fixed my neck; degeneration was pinching my nerves severely.

In addition, his current staff is the best of any clinic/hospital I go to. At 76 years old and having lived an extremely rough life as a farmer, I have had plenty of worn out and otherwise injured body parts and Dr. Huebert always has a way to fix me up. I am so glad I was referred to him by my PCP. He is top notch. For reference, I was an Army medic and have multiple university degrees in science and engineering so I am certainly in a position to notice medical excellence when I see it.

My husband was 10/10 on the pain scale for days and we were desparate. The injection worked immediately and was a life saver. Yes, Dr. Jimmy may be a cowboy but he knows what he's doing and he'll be the frst to try new FDA approved technologies. His curiosity and willingness to try new things is exceptional. If you are looking for someone conservative, he is not for you. I then saw Dr. Jimmy myself for back pain due to a car accident. He got me an MRI ASAP whereas I had been given the run around from my PCP and insurance. He started me on some experimental non invasive peptides which made me feel better immediately and gave me a lumbar injection. we were trying to avoid surgery, but ultimately after 8 months my herniated disc was causing muscle paralysis so I ended up with surgery, but he helped me through the process and continues to be a part of my care team. He is a compassionate man, a little loosy gooat on staffing and offerings, but if you are open to trying new things, he's worth checking out.

Too young for knee replacements, Dr. Wilson treated me for years with steroid injections and referrals for PT. When my left knee finally went out in 2013 and the right knee in 2015, Dr. Nanson was my surgeon as Dr. Wilson was no longer doing surgery. The transition of care was seamless. Having a medical condition that is now well known, I made sure to bring information to Dr. Nanson who read up on the condition, and with the asstance of a wound care expert, took special precautions that he later incorporated into all surgical recoveries. When I recently started having severe hip pain limiting my mobility, and my shoulder tendinitis decided to join the pain party, I didn't hesitate to seek assistance from Orthopedics NW. While we are still trying to identify the source of hip pain, the doctors and PAs I have seen have provided the same level of personal care and compassion. Xrays and MRIs will hopefully lead to a diagnosis and a path to regain my mobility and end the pain. My shoulder was far easier to resolve, the steroid injection gave my shoulder the relief it needed, calming the area and reducing the inflammation. The front office is as kind and efficient as the pool of doctors. Knowing my pain level, they not only sent the MRI referral immediately following my appointment, they called the facility to verify it was received. Then called me to let me know I didn't have to wait, that I could call Rayus to schedule. Had MRI appointment scheduled within an hour if my doctor visit. That is rare! Sure hoping another surgery isn't in my future - I am already bionic enough - but if it's required, I know Dr. Nanson will perform the surgery with the same precision and post surgical care as the other two surgeries. I have referred several friends, some have had hips and knees replaced, and all had same experience as me.

Getting a total knee replaced is a serious decision, one which I did not take lightly. Being…read morerelatively new to the Portland area (we moved here in 2012) I did not have a good feeling for which orthopedist to consider. I started asking around and one name that came up again and again was, Orthopedics Northwest and Dr. Scott Grewe. So I did a little more research and decided to see if he would take my case. I had degenerative arthritis of both knees, originally diagnosed in 2010, with the left knee being the worst. It took a couple months to get an appointment, but it was clear on my first visit that a total knee replacement was indicated. We set a surgery date. His physician's assistant Scott Byers did the preoperative teaching. As a healthcare worker I provided and witnessed a lot of preoperative teaching. Scott's was the BEST I have ever heard. I knew exactly what was going to happen in the operating room, I knew exactly how my pain was going to be controlled, and I knew exactly what was expected of me. My surgery went very well with absolutely no complications. Using their pain control plan, I was off the narcotics in about 14 days, using only Tylenol and Aleve to control the pain. My physical therapy course went well. So well, that at 6 weeks post-op I scheduled my right knee with Dr. Grewe. The right knee surgery went just as well as the left. Left knee was done April 11th, right knee was done July 11th. The pain I had before surgery is GONE! I am knocking the rust off my golf game and building my walking stamina. If you are looking for a terrific orthopedic team, Orthopedics Northwest, Dr. Scott Grewe, PA Scott Byers and their assistant Nancy are THE ONES YOU WANT!!!!!
