Marcus paid me $500 of that, but continues to make excuses for why he has not given me the rest. This ordeal has also been documented with the Hopewell Township Police Department. Avelli Construction and Manufacturing Corporation, Ambridge, PA entered into a contract with my…read morefamily to provide 90-feet of concrete for a driveway with a widening of the driveway from 25 feet to 32 feet at the road and installation of a 4" PVC pipe under the cement pathway to the side steps for electrical and irrigation lines. Avelli poured the driveway but did not widened the driveway to 32 feet or installed the PVC pipe under the sidewalk to the steps. They are in breach of contract. There were only 2 components to the contract besides pouring the driveway. Since then I have requested that they do the following: 1) Install the PVC pipe and fix the landscaping that has been done since the driveway installation. 2) Rip up the driveway entrance at the road on the right (if facing the house) and expand the driveway at the curb to 32 feet. Repair the landscaping that has since been installed because they did not do it correctly the first time. We paid Avelli $22,975 in good faith. They have made multiple excuses and refused to fix the problem. Do not use this unethical company.

He gave me a plan on what he would do, and I could tell he knew his stuff by virtue of remedying causal factors for the leaning, including improper drainage. I also had him look at a 1957 original kitchen exhaust blower that was now a dead end and fall hazard, wanting it taken down -- which I couldn't do safely on my own -- and a frustrating area where water would come into my office when it rained hard with a lot of wind. Jim said all the right things, and I was very happy with his quote. He communicated well via email about when he could come. He and his crew showed up and did a fantastic job. They bricked in the gap where the exhaust came out, properly insulating and sealing as they did so, and painstakingly addressed the likely factors in the water intrusion. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I wish I had had him work on my chimney a couple of years ago instead of a certain other company who overcharged me and reneged on a necessary service they had promised but carefully not included in the contract. He would have done a better job and charged me less.

I paid Ryan Rvans nearly $40k for work (that I'm still making payments on). Some of which turned out okay. The gutters have been leaking for months. He was to be down in February to fix. I'm still waiting. He poured a large exposed aggregate patio that cracked within a week of pouring. Take a look at the screen shots of the text conversation where he says he didn't put the cuts in correctly. Was to replace first thing this spring. Last I heard he was to be here the day after Memorial Day, and now he just doesn't reply, so I'm spreading the word. I also discovered that the cheap materials he used on my deck railings have dsicolored into a nasty yellow. Please tell all your family and friends not to use Evans Construction in aliquippa. He doesn't stand behind his work once he has your money. Don't use and spread the word.
