Was told one of the doctors was on his way. I asked why wouldn't you let me know? She started crying and walked out. The other two guys at the desk looked straight ahead and would not acknowledge me. I asked one if them if they thought the woman was going to try to find out how much longer I would have to wait or did she just walk out on me. He stated that he didn't believe that she had any intention of coming back out anytime soon. Neither he nor the other guy at the front asked me if I wanted to reschedule. Of course when a person is already stewing at been treated that way, of course I would not have rescheduled. I had to walk out with no apologies from anyone. The thing is, it's all ok to waist other peoples time, but none of those employees or doctors would have wanted to be treated that way. I have been going to the Diagnostic Clinic for over 20 years - a very busy place. I have never had to wait for a doctor's appt. as long as I did today. In fact they have signs that say if you have waited more than 15 minutes long to let the desk know. All three employees working the front desk were young and obviously never taught manners. Mayra was not only extremely personable, she checked Medicare and found that I could file my new glasses with Medicare-- and saved some money. I was quite comfortable in the relaxed, friendly atmosphere until management decided to call an employee to task for a really minor infraction while I was sitting there. The manager did not get up and come over to tell the employee quietly that she'd made an error. She berated her in front of everyone. I was impressed with how that employee shook it off and continued to smile, because I was still annoyed hours later. But my experience with Mayra outweighed everything else so I'm still giving 5 stars. Also, the other two employees were friendly as well, and smiled often. It was just the manager that made me feel ill at ease.
