They…read more bill your insurance incorrectly so they will be paid in full whatever they choose to bill you for. This practice is known as balance billing or double dipping. There are laws against this unethical act. Providers are contracted to certain charges according to the insured plan. They do not bill your insurance correctly so you end up with a denial from your insurance that they expect you to just pay, no questions asked. Well not this girl I ask a lot of questions and don't stop with a simple "It's your insurance". My insurance company explained in detail what my coverage was and what I should have been charged. Unless you have disposable money I would never buy glasses there. Horrible business ethics!

In fact they have signs that say if you have waited more than 15 minutes long to let the desk know. All three employees working the front desk were young and obviously never taught manners. The manager did not get up and come over to tell the employee quietly that she'd made an error. She berated her in front of everyone. I was impressed with how that employee shook it off and continued to smile, because I was still annoyed hours later. But my experience with Mayra outweighed everything else so I'm still giving 5 stars. Also, the other two employees were friendly as well, and smiled often. Because of this, it wasn't possible to know that the prescription wasn't right for me until I opened the new box and used a pair. When I called to tell them my eyes were really strained and that text was blurry, they told me to come back in for another exam. I had a different doctor and a different and better prescription. They are charging me for the new contacts because the other box with the incorrect prescription was opened. Even though they never gave me the correct trial pair! I will never go back! I have to pay for their mistake.

She was extremely helpful, took time to find the right fitting frames for me and I was out of there in about 15-20min with the two frames I chose for around $150 for both including the prescription (which I already had). I came back around 12:30 and they were ready to go. Couldn't believe how quick the turn around was and the service was great. I will definitely come back.
