Many of the staff have been there for a long time and they know the business inside out. They have a good range of electrical items. When you first enter there is a big range of televisions to choose from, all usually on, and it makes the shop seem nice and bright. They sell lots of different makes of items, usually high quality such as smeg fridges, dyson cleaners. There is a section of electric fires at the back of the store and they also stock quite an extensive range of items incase you need a repair. If it isn't in stock they would do their utmost to order it as a matter of urgency for you and I think they provide a really high level of customer service.

It is a professionally run shop with knowledgable/friendly staff that seem to be the same guys from my first encounter. Well deserved 5 stars. A newspaper delivery service is on offer from here but because of this everytime you turn up around the end of school there are hoards of school children gathered waiting for their mates to turn up or buying their sweet fix for on the way home. This makes driving in the small road it is built on very difficult and becuase of this I do avoid the shop during these times. However at other times it is so convenient and you can park outside to pop in for your newspaper and sweets. Newsagents help to form part of our community and because of this I would always try to support as much as I caould these small business's and Rookwood news is one of those places! However

They sell all the things you would expect, PCs (obviously!), televisions, computer accessories etc. Being on Teesside Retail Park, there is loads of free parking, which is a major bonus in my view! It's hard to know how to rate this place. It seems to have a poor reputation generally. Personally I've found the service variable. Sometimes I've gone in and found it virtually impossible to actually find a sales assistant, let alone get one to help me. Other times, I've found them incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to give me all the info I might possibly need about an item. I'd say, on balance, it's worth having a look, you never know you may get a good deal. They do have a really good range of stock.

Being on Teesside Park, you have lots of free parking, which is always a bonus. Currys sells lots of interesting stuff, televisions, computers, washing machines, cookers, etc. It's a tidy, well laid out and brightly lit store, very pleasant to wander around. The service can be a bit variable, though. I would say on the whole the staff are friendly and helpful. Most times I've been in there, I've managed to find someone who can spare a few minutes to explain the differences in products to me and help me narrow down my choice. Usually they will even give a print out of one or two products so I can go home and think about it. I would definitely recommend a wander round Currys if you are looking for an electrical item.
