I made it here 35 mins before they closed and needed to use the restroom before tanning. before even stating my name and what bed I would like to use, I stated that I needed to use the restroom first. I know better than to give my name and announce the room/bed I'd like to use before using the restroom because the receptionist will start the tanning bed clock right then. .....So you basically have 5 mins to use the restroom, remove your makeup, remove jewelry, make it to the room, strip down, lather lotion on and set your tanning bed preferences. You don't actually know how long you have left to tan once you make it into the bed because the clock only shows how many mins you've been the bed, not how long you have left. I tried to avoid having this happen and being cut short on tanning time but to no avail. My 9 min tanning bed time cut off at 6.14 mins..... no I know that sounds small but I am literally paying over $100 to tan twice a month... That's a lot of money to spend just to be cut short after driving across town to get here. I understand we were coming close to closing time when I came in 35 minutes before closing but if the staff is already checked out at 7:30 PM, maybe you guys should just start closing at 7:30 PM. In the end, I felt like whatever plans the girl had after work were more important than customer service. Whatever happened to greeting customers with a friendly smile? this will be my last billing cycle

The beds and bulbs always work perfectly, I normally only need a couple of visits to get a really nice tan and I am pretty fair. I think this is because of the quality beds they have. Marshall is the most personable, helpful store owner you will meet and the staff is exactly the same way. He always takes time to chat and has a big smile to greet you. They are very, very knowledgeable about the beds, tanning times, products and spray tan process and don't push the lotions etc. like other tanning salons. I find the packages to be extremely well priced. The store is always clean as are the tanning rooms and bathroom. This is the best tanning salon in the area, tell you friends!

I joined because it seemed like a really good deal--buy 2 months get the third month free! Sounds great right!? The first week I joined i went tanning 4 days-- the first time i went they put me in the stand up for 10 minutes then their level three bed for 10 minutes. I've been tanning on and off for 14 years and I've never heard that this was ok or common practice. I went three times after that-- I noticed the same towel was being used to clean the beds over and over-- that isn't sanitary at all because then there's a bunch of different peoples sweat all mixed in on that rag that keeps getting reused to "Clean" the beds. Gross! The last time i went i used a level 2 bed with facial bronzers. The facials kept shutting off on me then turning back on and shutting off then turning back on. I told the manager and he said he was sorry and would have it fixed-- offered to let me tan again in another bed--the same day as well! Right after i got out of one bed he wanted to put me in another bed. All the aforementioned was within my 1st week of tanning. It has now been about 4 months since I bought my package and I have not been able to go back. The business has posted hours of opening at 10am M-F. I went 4 times in one day and no one was there and no one answered then phone. I tried again the next day, again no one was there. I went to a neighboring business and they tried calling the owner and the guy that was supposed to be there. Supposidly the owner told the young man not to come in Monday-Wednesday. I left messages with the manager assoon as i was able to get a hold of him and asked that the owner call me because i wanted a refund on the remaining balance of my package. No return call! Surprise huh. I did call one afternoon and was able to get ahold of the owner and she yelled at me on the phone stating that she gives no refunds and then hung up on me! Very professional. I paid cash and got no receipt. Im am out my money-- so im hoping lots of people will see this and think twice about where they want to tan.

In more ways than one. I haven't tanned here yet, but I have tanned in a lot of places, so I can tell exactly how much I would have enjoyed the experience, and I can totally review based on the equipment I was shown, the prices I was quoted and shown, and the lovely service. The main reason I didn't tan was that I didn't seem to be able to get a single session here but most places don't do that so I don't hold that against them and I don't downgrade them at all for that. In fact, when I do finally tan here I'll probably upgrade them to a 5, because they're a high 4, not a low 4. But we'll see how it goes. Their prices are pretty competitive especially in a college town, where some people don't have proper incomes. It's mainly for the college kids to come and get tanned. The equipment is a mixed bag but they do have some good stuff here. So not too bad then. Plus it's right next to the best boba shop in the world so you can tan and get boba. Momo next door is the Boba in question and is unequivocally, literally the best in the whole of the Great Lakes region and I'm not even exaggerating even a little tiny bit.

Life is meant to be LIVED! Since cancer in 2020, I have had neverending adjustments with my body and mind that I continue to have to accept and figure out. Nobody ever talks about the continued changes that your mind and body experience and endure AFTER the chemo, radiation, and surgery. I thought that it would all be "back to normal" afterwards....and yet here I am, almost 5 years since diagnosis, and I'm still adjusting. It's exhausting and annoying...and sad and hard. Being thrown into menopause well before my time and watching the changes that the continued cancer maintenance drugs cause has made me feel older than I'd like. My bones have deteriorated faster than normal, my hair is thin (and I LOVED my long thick hair!), my eye lashes and eye brows are thinner, I've gained weight, my hair is fully grey (which was super weird), my libido is non-existent, I am always tired and have no energy, my memory is awful and I STILL experience brain fog (super frustrating!). While watching myself change, I find myself avoiding mirrors. I dress frumpy and don't put on make-up unless I have to. I just kind of stopped trying. I used to love vacations because I could pamper myself, enjoy family time, let loose, and forget about things for a bit. Soon I'll be leaving for a vacation that we've had planned and purchased for two years now....to celebrate my 5th year out since diagnosis and our 25th wedding anniversary with my amazing husband! I don't want to be frumpy on this trip! I want to feel GOOD about myself while celebrating with my fam! Today, I made a choice to FORCE myself out of my comfort zone and do things to help me feel better. I booked a spray tan session, teeth whitening, and eye lash lift and tint sessions. I was terrified to be standing in my undergarments in front of a total stranger as she sprays all of my rolls and crevices. Before today, I have spent HOURS talking myself out of things out of fear of what others will think. But today, I pushed through the thoughts and just went with it. And you know what? I feel GREAT! Emily was THE SWEETEST, funniest, easiest person to work with and she made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. She kept me giggling, even with that big plastic thingy in my mouth holding my lips open wide (dumbest I've ever looked in front of a total stranger). I will continue to try and make the best of who I am now and even have my next session in the books! Yes....its first world problems. But I wanted to share, in case anyone else is putting off living and embracing changes. Just go for it! And make sure you get someone like Emily to walk you through it...because I had a great time laughing at myself today AND...my smile looks radiant, my lashes are poppin, and my tan looks phenomenal, I must say! I feel like a million buck Emily and Hannah are TRUE professionals!

I walked out feeling relaxed and beautiful. I've never left a facial feeling confident in my skin. Bethany was amazing. I will 100% be back in the future for more facials. She was very gentle when it came to washing off the cleansers + masks , no tugging, pulling, or roughness. The application of the products was soothing and not messy. This was my first lash lift and tint. So far I am loving it! I can't wait to come back and see Bethany again
