I should have known: The have a giant sign on the outside of the restaurant that says "GOOD FOOD." The sign ain't lying -- it's not great, but it is definitely good. The menu is like 12 pages long. I don't particularly like big menus, so it took me quite a while to decide what I wanted to order for lunch. I landed on the enchilada and taco plate, which came with a side of rice, and I also tacked on a side of refried beans. The side of beans is huge! You can definitely share it. The enchilada and taco were just OK, but the beans were great. I loved eating the beans with the complimentary tortilla chips at the table, which were lightly salted and warm. What I should have ordered, which someone at my table ordered, were the birria tacos. Now those looked delicious. They come with a little bowl of consome, plus rice and beans. Along with their 12-page Mexican menu, they also have an American menu. I was intrigued by the "Hamburger Burrito" -- I should have ordered it because I keep wondering exactly what that might be. Is it a burrito with a hamburger and toppings in it, or is it a hamburger with burrito filling in it? I guess I'll never know.

Usually I get as far as emporia that's the first time I've dropped down to Wichita too This place has been here for loads of years it is still a classic roadside diner vibe off of the bypass. The lady that owns in her family also work here they do a really good job of keeping everything up for what they have. It's like walking in the Easter year though it probably hasn't been remodeled since they took it over I don't think it's actually been remodeled since the late 80s but that's all right. I came in with a rumbling stomach that was just starting to growl and I was ready for some good old home cooking. So I ordered up a nice good cuz I knew they made a nice hand patted chicken fried steak. I had to taste for french fries and gravy brown gravy on the whole shebang. They were having some water issues a boil order wasn't effect so there wasn't any soda available on the day I was there that afternoon and they did make cawfee though so I had that. They also take major credit cards no problem. Would not get the fish taco again because of the smell.
