Great burgers! Nice people and speedy service. We take out, though would enjoy reading the walls and staying in sometime.

#55/2024 Wow I haven't been across this US highway coming…read moreout of Newton Kansas in a long long time. Usually I get as far as emporia that's the first time I've dropped down to Wichita too This place has been here for loads of years it is still a classic roadside diner vibe off of the bypass. The lady that owns in her family also work here they do a really good job of keeping everything up for what they have. It's like walking in the Easter year though it probably hasn't been remodeled since they took it over I don't think it's actually been remodeled since the late 80s but that's all right. When you walk in you're very feel welcomed you're welcome sit wherever you want they have two different dining room areas. I came in with a rumbling stomach that was just starting to growl and I was ready for some good old home cooking. So I ordered up a nice good cuz I knew they made a nice hand patted chicken fried steak. I had to taste for french fries and gravy brown gravy on the whole shebang. She also made me a nice fresh salad with lettuce tomato cucumber and cheese was very good too before the meal. They were having some water issues a boil order wasn't effect so there wasn't any soda available on the day I was there that afternoon and they did make cawfee though so I had that. Problem was the iced tea wasn't iced tea it was just hot tea they put it into the cooler they had just started making it. . She brought out the salad it was really nice quite filling. And the chicken fried steak dinner came out it was fantastic they gave me some extra fries I think I didn't ask for it but they were definitely quite a few fries to brown gravy was nice and hot. I left with a very happy belly That's one of the things I miss about that way a lot of times when I used to go out to places West California Arizona we're coming through Kansas I would avoid that Kansas turnpike and work my way across all the way to Hutchinson. And I used to like to stop in here because there is plenty of parking for trucks it's a dirt lot but that doesn't really matter it's just classic little small town in the middle of nowhere farmland. They also take major credit cards no problem. But it definitely was nice to see and I definitely enjoyed my meal and I'm rating the full five bar of stars all the way across like many other people who review here on Yelp basically realize you can't judge a book by its cover. They're very pleasantly surprised when you read their reviews also.

Stopped here at lunchtime while traveling and needed a break. Friendly staff. Typical small town…read morediner. Plenty of parking space for my travel trailer. Got the club sandwich which was great beef/ham/bacon with lettuce and tomato. Very reasonable price.

We had a beautiful morning 12/31/2025 with the most fantastic breakfast within the Tri-City Area…read more(Marion/Hillsboro/Peabody). I had two fried medium eggs, bacon, awesome home fries, and toast. My husband had both sausage and bacon in his breakfast. (They must have run out of bacon). The coffee is the best coffee in Marion. It is as good as the coffee at Rhubarb Market in Hillsboro. Rhubarb Market does not make breakfast but they offer Quiche and scones, muffins, but not a real sit down breakfast. It's more of a coffee cafe. I was going to say that we found our daily breakfast joint but I just found out today 1/20/26 that Parlour 1886 is no longer serving breakfast Tuesday-Friday. What a disappointment. Anyway, Peabody has Pop's Diner, an awesome cafe that makes the best breakfast in the Tri-City Area since Parlour 1886 is not opened weekly for breakfast anymore. POP's Diner makes the best Opened--faced roast beef I've ever had with mashed taters and green beans; so try them for lunch too. Also, we have been to the restaurant in Galva, KS multiple times. It's about 25 miles West of Marion on highway 56. The Restaurant is named 56 Family Restaurant. They make the best breakfast in Galva, KS. They are always packed full but that's because their food is so good. And, for an incredible diner experience with the old fashioned counter with stools...you need to try out Neighbor's Cafe in McPherson, KS. They make real homemade food from scratch. Their biscuits are enormous...your plate needs another plate to make room for the overflow. They are closed Sunday and Monday. Back to Parlour 1886, even tho they are not serving breakfast during the week, we will be going back for Saturday & Sunday Brunches.

Everything - food, service, decor, ambiance- was amazing! Great date night! Love supporting local…read morebusinesses.

Colorful, maximalist, and funky! I was greeted instantly by the bartender and we talked about the inspiration of the place, and how the sound system was right on for the theme. Let's hope they can get that vinyl system working with the digital monitors... that's always a tedious process! The food though, it brought it home. I got a to-go order and brought it home to my buddy who'd been working all morning. He took a bite and his eyes lit up man. I Love to see one of my guys visibly love good food. He got the fried chicken pozo while I got the meatball sub... once again. Bangers. This place has flavor. Aesthetically, and literally!! Go here. Go here. Go here.

The issue I have is they charge you for every extra, dipping sauce, extra charge , as a matter of fact the last time we were in the waiter, asked how I liked the pasta. I told him it was excellent he said what would you do different and I said perhaps a little more sauce but otherwise delicious. He brought some more sauce, which I thought was just wonderful over the top service till I got the bill and there was an up charge. I didn't ask for sauce, but I was charged for extra sauce, that's pretty shady :(
