We love this place. This is one of our favorite places to go on a Friday evening when we are in Reedville. They do have live music most of the Fridays. We were here last night for St Patrick's day celebration. We had to reserve our spot in advance as it's a small place. Great ambiance and service is great as well. We ordered Malbec wine along with charcuterie board, raw oysters, mushroom soup, and meat lovers pizza. I tried everything except for the raw oysters. One pizza is good enough for 2 people. It was delicious. The crust could have cooked slightly longer. Owners are very welcoming. Always come and talk to us. Highly recommend it if you're visiting the northern neck area. read more

Came back with our adult children. We loved sharing a tasting with our group and got to sample all the wines here. The wines are thoughtfully curated and yummy! We loved the thin-crust pizzas with basil picked right from their garden while the pizza cooked. What a beautiful day with sunny skies! She were able to sit outside on the patio. The gardens of gorgeous blowers nearby had many butterflies and bumble bees to add to the lovely experience. Sitting in nature with great wines and delicious pizza and nature was wonderful. The staff were so personable and fun too! Loved spending our July 4th weekend experience at a local Northern Neck location! Highly recommend! read more

My review is likely skewed by my excellent (and accidental) timing of having visited during an oyster festival weekend. Even so, I may have given them 5 stars anyway. This place isn't fancy, but I'm extremely impressed they did so well despite this being a very small, out of the way place. Extra impressed for the variety of grapes at their disposal and the affordable prices. They are only 5.5 acres, but their 2500 cases/year are nearly all estate (I think they get some help with the Sav Blanc). They grudgingly have a single sweet-ish wine, but mostly they go for dry wines. But most impressive is WHAT they grow. Malbec, Albarino, Zinfandel...I donno what got into their heads to try these, but I'm sure glad they did. I guess with their odd climatic conditions, these grapes just work here. A shout out goes to the wine maker, who's a very young dude who (literally) started out as their lawn mower man. I think he should write an autobiography...except he has so many chapters to go, maybe he could hold off for now. Still, with a start like that, I'd buy it. What I tried: 2013 Sav Blanc: Little citrucy; not a bad start 2013 Vidal Blanc: First off, advertisement: I've almost always hatted this grape. But for some reason, I LOVED theirs. Don't ask me why; miracles must really happen. Some oak but not a lot. 2014 Albarino: Spanish grape that you don't see that often; I liked what I had. 2013 Malbec: OK, this is a VIRGINIA Malbec, so it's not going to get the boldness you might otherwise expect. And even compared to other VA Malbecs, theirs was on the soft side, with a fruity nose and a hint of spice. I was also impressed with their $18 bottle price. Nice job! 2013 Petit Verdot: Spicy nose, black pepper notes. Not bold like other PVs I've tried in Virginia. I bought a bottle for...further study... 2013 Norton: Soft by Norton standards; I didn't ask if it was blended with anything but wouldn't surprise me. One of the better Nortons out there. 2013 Zinfandel: They had two varieties of this, a semi sweet and a dry. I didn't love either, but still impressed they managed to grow it here. read more

A nice fun local find! The wine was very good! Great atmosphere. We ordered the pizza and a dozen raw oysters. All was quite tasty, but the oysters could have been a bit colder. I usually get them in the shells on ice at other places. These were already shucked and lined up on a long plate over lettuce. It was a nice presentation, but by the time half were eaten the others were almost room temp. Just a small suggestion that maybe some ice on plate (under the lettuce?) would have been a bit better. However not a huge deal. We will be back either way! Looking forward to trying the grilled oysters next month! Everyone working there was extremely friendly and this will no doubt be one of our local hangouts! I also love that they offer bottled beer and hard cider! They have outdoor seating so we look forward to taking our small dog on nice days! Highly recommend! read more

Jacey Vineyards was our most highly anticipated winery on our vineyard excursion and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, the service is top tier. Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating, ensuring you have everything you need to enjoy yourself without hovering at your table. The small details went a long way for us- the farm to table fresh figs from a tree on site, the local home production of wine, down to the label (one of which was gifted to 3 us by our thoughtful server April) all made with a family feel. The food selection is exactly what you're hoping for and the flights are brought in real glasses, one at a time so your pallet and your table are never crowded. We will be talking about Jacey Vineyards for years to come! read more

Great spot In Wicomico Church to go taste their wines and grab a bite to eat. The pizza tasted great and we loved the wines that we had by the glass (didn't do a tasting). They have a beautiful patio to utilize when the weather is nice and I believe it's dog friendly. Whether you live in and around the area or are visiting the Northern Neck, I would definitely recommend checking out this unique vineyard! It's a perfect place to stop on Saturdays if you're traveling from Kilmarnock to the Reedville area, or anywhere in between! read more

As mentioned by others GPS will send you to an incorrect location. Call to get directions and avoid ending up in the wrong place. The food, tapas style, is amazing. We had chorizo butter scallops, cheese sampler (all Spanish variety), shrimp pancakes, and garlic Brussels sprouts from the vineyard garden. All amazing!! Worth a stop just for the food alone. The proprietor imports products from Spain, hence the cheese, and the wi be tasting includes Spanish wines they have imported in addition to wine produced on site. Servers are very knowledgable and running a low key business. Plan to walk in, be greeted, find your seat and then to sit back and enjoy. read more

We were also there Saturday - not our first time however. Obviously, Christina A. didn't see what had happened a few minutes before she arrived? Already shorthanded (was told by the manager when we arrived), a fill in person in the kitchen badly burned her hand on a hot pan. Another staffer took her off to have it looked at leaving them even more shorthanded. Frankly,I was amazed they stayed open and continued to offer Tapas - albeit a bit more slowly than the last time we visited. Some 5 or 10 minutes after that, the 5 or so kids (who brings kids to a winery anyway?) who were playing with another guest's dog, sent an outside table over, breaking a bottle of olive oil that was then all over the patio. That would explain "Bleach". As for being seated while tasting, we found it incredibly refreshing. Having visited well over 100 VA Wineries, I liked the fact that we didn't have to stand in line only to be given a micro-pour of over priced, mediocre wine, and rushed out the door. I can see how that might be a bit confusing though - it is different than most others. Lastly the bit about the Spanish wines. The way it was explained to me, the mix of wines is intended to give a better, more complete, tasting experience. It helped me personally understand that I do not like oaky white wines. My husband does. I was also told it kept Jacey's prices in line with the market value of their wines. I believe it as their prices seemed considerably more reasonable than most of the other VA wineries we have visited. Perhaps that's why they sold out of my favorite Malbec - it was $12.00 a bottle. I'll be back this summer once they bottle last years vintage! We did find several of the Spanish reds were really to our liking. The only problem was that the one we liked the most was also to another couples liking, so we ended up arguing (in a good natured way) about who could buy the remaining case. I must say that Jacey offered to ship whatever we wanted and they didn't have at them moment, at no additional charge. In short - I'm really glad Jacey carries the Spanish wines - I found great value in several of them as well as some of the Jacey wines. I hope they keep it up! read more

We went here on a whim after hearing from another couples recommendations. It's too bad we didn't drive up to Hague winery instead. We weren't able to sit on the patio area on a gorgeous day because they poured bleach due to a spill, so we sat inside. Too bad - it looked like a nice place to sit. The tasting area is not set up like any I've ever seen - each couple sits at a separate table and the owner comes to you. Definitely confusion when entering the room - we watched other couples standing around as well. They have a full tapas menu which seems to be their pull rather than the tastings. There was an oyster crawl that weekend so the boyfriend ordered oysters with a tasting for $10 - he said the oysters were good. Even though there were only 4 other couples there at that time the owner and his wife (?) seemed overwhelmed and were bouncing table to table and never knew which wine people were on. Their tasting menu was very confusing and jumped all over the place - you never knew which wine you were going to taste next. The owner is also a distributor of Spanish wines which are sold as well. The tasting is a combination of their wines and Spanish wines to make a comparison between the two so that the taster can see the similarity the vineyard has. Personally I feel a winery should be strong in their wines and shouldn't have to pair another vineyard for comparison. The tasting probably took 45 min to an hour for 5 wines, was $5 and received complimentary glasses. The olives and bread they provided were brought to the table after 30 min or so, and to receive the first tasting we sat for 10+ minutes wondering what was going on. I would skip this for the wine. We can't say for the food though - others seemed to enjoy it. This does not seem like a place for kids - the tables were too close together. read more

The wines weren't my favorite, but they weren't bad. Service was slow. The owner (I think) and an employee would come and go randomly to assist us. I would describe the experience as "uncoordinated." The employee started our tasting, but when the owner jumped in, she backed off and didn't come back for a while, although the owner's attention was pulled to a table of folks who were spending more money than us. So the tasting took longer than I would have preferred, especially since we never knew which wine was next (and neither did they). They brought olives and bread to each table, though, which was a nice touch. I might come back if I have some time to kill to check out their tapas/small plates. read more

So...A) the winery is NOT located where it shows on Yelp. It's actually off of VA-718 (Train Ln) about 2 miles east on Remo Road. Please fix this Yelp! B) We visited this winery on a Thursday, in addition to 3 other wineries in the area. Jacey is a truly unique experience...DO NOT GO IN EXPECTING A TYPICAL WINERY EXPERIENCE. This is much more than that. You will sit at a table and get olives/bread with your tasting. Delicious! C) The tasting attendant who served us did a great job. She explained that they were out of all but two of their wines because they would actually be bottling in 2 days. Huge bummer, but what can ya do? This is what happens for small vineyards, and that's what we were looking for. Small, family owned operations. Not super commercial. So she allowed us to try those two as well as some Spanish wines that they import to accompany their tapas menu. We didn't try the tapas, but the Spanish wines were an interesting change from VA wines and it was nice to be able to compare the two. D) The Jacey wines (the two we tried) were good. We are not super "winos", so probably easily impressed, but the Vidal Blanc and Petit Verdot were nice. In addition, the labels on the bottle are BEAUTIFUL! read more

Purchased a Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail Tasting Pass. Brochure and Website state they are open Wed-Sunday 10am-5pm. Someone told us we should call ahead of time to make an appointment. When we called on Saturday at 3pm to make an appointment for Sunday, they said they were only open Saturday that weekend. We were about an hour away so I tried to see if we could squeeze in a tasting before they closed. They said they were closing early at 4pm. read more

This is a very special and wonderful place. The wines are different from others in the area, focusing on a Spanish style. The food in the small plates is wonderful. Follow the well placed signs from Rt 200 in Wicomico Church and you won't have any trouble. The atmosphere is far more welcoming than the usual stand at a bar and have your wine tasting. You sit at a table and it is leisurely (not slow and scattered like some of the reviewers here say). This is an experience. Please don't miss the food! read more

My bestie and I stopped at Jacey Vineyards at the end of a girls weekend (in the area for the Northern Neck Wine fest) on 4/21/13 . We had an absolute fantastic time and were completely surprised and delighted to find upon walking in the door, the offering of Spanish style Tapas to compliment the wine selections they offered. Having been to wineries and vineyards all over VA, this was a refreshing break from the standard experience you generally get when visiting or taking part in a tasting. Krash & Delaina immediately greeted us and it was like being "home". The time Krash took with us and with the wines and food, made it all the more personal. The wines themselves, whether from Jacey or the Spanish imports they paired with some of the food, were perfect compliments. Its amazing how the Rose' really paired with the Ribs (Thank you Krash for those by the way!! they too were amazing). All in all, we spent an unexpected afternoon there and were very fortunate enough to meet and spend some time with the Owners as well. Their hospitality was something we'll truly remember and we'll definitely be back! read more
