First of all, I'll say that this dealership has a whole new team as of about a month ago. So some of the older reviews you may read may not apply. After attempting to do a lease buyout at another dealership and getting hit with excessive fees and bad customer service, I decided to shop around more and contact several dealerships about their fees. Brian at Jack Daniels Kia in Fair Lawn responded right away with a very clear breakdown of all of the fees, and more importantly seemed more interested in great customer service and making sure I wasn't getting a run around. I was so impressed with his communication that when another dealership presented me with fees that were a bit lower, I went back to Brian and he and his manager worked out a deal to give me the same final price. When I got to the dealership, the whole team was fantastic and they honored everything they promised me. Brian made it extremely easy by enabling me to do a lot of the pre-paperwork via email, which saved time at the dealership. I'm so glad that I took the time to contact them instead of taking what I was given at the first dealership I went to. Updating review, in order to buy car at agreed upon price, they made me write review. Bought many cars through the years. This was my overall worst experience for several reasons. - longest time to finish deal and take possession of vehicle. - would not honor price/deal unless I would write a review in front of them (two or three, not just one) - pre-paid DMV fees, when license plates arrived, they texted me saying they are ready to pickup. Problem was when I arrived, they could not find my plates for 15 minutes - after they found them, said I owed an additional $61 as they didn't collect enough. Never had this happen before, but see how it could happen, but would have been nice of them to tell me that I need to bring money before arriving. - I have ~800 credit score, when they financed me, they gave me two hard inquiries vs one, when I inquired about it with finance mgr, he never contacted me again. read more

My experience with this dealership has always been favorable. Vinnie from the servicing dept has always been courteous, considerate, and professional...my only gripe is that you have to wait so long before your car gets serviced. However. I called them this morning to ask if they had two specific cars in stock and was informed they definitely did have one of each. I arrived just after 10am after almost an hour drive. Were the cars ready to be seen? Nope! In fact apparently "one of rhe cars for sold last night" and the other was finally found in the back showroom. I knew the price of the vehicles as they showed the msrp on their website. In the end I was there 3.5 hours and they made it clear they wanted to make as much money as possible. They tried to sell me the one car for $12000 over msrp. And of course they wanted to give me as little as possible for my trade-in. They could easily have sold me the car they had AND made a food profit based on the advertised MSRP and what edmunds said my car was worth. They had a ton of other cars that I had zero interest in and really wanted me to buy one of them. GRR. What a waste of more than half a day! read more

This place is a joke they have a 2014 Mustang Gt advertised on the webpage for $18900 I DROVE OVER offered to buy it for $17500 Chris told me they would only be able to sell it for $20500 I said ok that won't work for me so then I checked the webpage again they raised price to $19800 so I called them offered $18500 they told me they owned it for $20500 so if you own it for that price why list it for less now its listed for $22000 be careful they do not honor price listed I dont think this is legal to do but eventually they will get called on it read more

Charged 289$ for a fee they couldnt get rid of(interior/exterior detail and a oil change) ok fine but then I go pick up the car it was disgusting . If I hadn't already signed the papers I would of just completely walked away from this place! The car was filthy all they did was throw rug powder on the floor and then didn't even vacuum it up! Dirt all over the floor in the back and it smelled musty. I paid you to clean the car!! The key they gave me was also broken, I should've tested it seeing as it was odd the salesman handed it to me open! Like the asshole knew it was broken!!!! The time it took to come to a deal and purchase the car took a bit longer than was my hope going in but I may have been unrealistic considering the pandemic. That said, I also went in on defense mode, looking for any sign that anyone was being any less than above-board. I asked the same questions of everyone I spoke with and they gave me the same answers. I was able to see the deal, from my trade to the pros and cons of leasing vs financing. I went out of my way to not trust the GM (I don't know who peed in my Wheaties that day) but found him to be honest and upfront. He spent more time with me than would make sense if he wasn't sincere, since I watched them sell no fewer than 6 cars while I was there. I left with a new Telluride. I won't say that the price I ended up paying is so super low that it almost doesn't make sense, but it was fair and I was treated fairly and with respect. I recommend this place. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would.....I purchase brand new Kia Soul 2011 and had nothing but problems ever since... in 2014 the engine seize up.... the vehicle took 3 months to repair , they assured me that they put in a brand new engine and that they would extend my already bogus extended warranty to 120,000 miles ..... the replacement took so long because they dropped the engine on the transmission and need body work (as confirmed by a recent outside mechanical inspection).....fast forward to 2017, The Kia Souls now needs a new transmission and the engine is shot.... Jack Daniels denied the extension on the warranty and that they had damage the transmission leaving me high and dry refusing to service the car. Thankfully Sansone Jr. 66 Automall maned up and put me in a new car. If you want to experience fast talking crooks and liars, by all means go to Jack Daniels Kia... To respond to your dealer reply.....already spoke to one of your Service representative about the situation..... he said there was nothing that they can do and couldn't help..... Bought Audi from their 'used car super center'. Car was stated to have just been 'serviced' and 'fully checked out'. They also sell ALL used cars 'as is' with only a rudimentary power train warranty. That should have been my second red flag. I took car to get oil change (like I do with all used cars)...oil came out dark brown and filter was filthy. Air filter was dirty as well. Hmmm, strange occurrence on a 'just serviced' car, no? It got worse from there... 100 miles later the car developed a pretty heavy steering fluid leak. I took vehicle back to Jack Daniels service and after two days of waiting for diagnosis, they quoted me just shy of $3000 for what amounted almost a full replacement of most of the steering components. When I indicated that I had purchased the car a few days earlier, they shrugged and said 'no warranty'. I retrieved my car back and had it fixed elsewhere for $2000. If that wasn't enough, I'm still waiting for my registration since temp tags expire in 2 days. I have left numerous voicemails, none of which have been returned. I will never buy from them again and if I can stop anyone else from making the mistake I did, writing this will have been worth it. I get that the car I bought was used and 'as is'. If that's the case though, don't flat out lie to me and tell me you 'serviced' it and 'fixed anything that needed to be fixed'. The flat out lie is what I take issue with and not that the steering started leaking. This is the kind of dealer that gives used car dealers a bad name...'serviced' seems to be synonymous with 'detailed' in their eyes since the car was very nicely cleaned when I got it. I purchased a used vehicle at this location. After long negotiating and signing of paperwork it was past closing hours. They told me that I was going to have to return another day to have the truck fully detailed. I suggested that I could leave it there and pick up the next day. They refused and said to come back with it when my plates were in. The next day I decided to take a look at the air filter's condition. Needless to say it was in very bad condition. I looked over the paperwork that was given to me and it said that the cabin filter was changed but mentioned nothing about the air filter. Why would the dealership worry about the cabin filter but not the air filter is beyond me. So out of curiosity I checked the cabin filter and it was just as bad and so was the oil, it was dark and hadn't been changed in a very long time. About 3 weeks later, I called to see if my plates were in, they were but I was never notified. So I returned with the truck and spoke to someone and mentioned that I hadn't received any notification that my plates were in, They looked at me like I had 3 heads. I then mentioned that the cabin filter was old and the oil in the truck was old and that it was never changed. They told me that it was changed and that whose to say that I put an old filter in place of the new one and to remember that I already had the truck in my possession for 3 weeks hence it would reflect the oil darkening. I was basically accused of switching an air filter.... And that the oil was bad because of 3 weeks of use?? I then asked if they would detail my tuck as promised and they said they would. I waited 3 HOURS and asked if my truck was ready, they told me that they were almost done and to give them another 20 minutes. After finally getting it, only an exterior wash was done!!! I then spoke to Eddie Carbajal and asked him why it wasn't fully detailed as promised, his response was we are too busy right now.He then told me to return another day... This is the worst dealership ever!!! They lie, and are incompetent to communicate and deliver on their promises. Once you sign away, they don't care about you. People, please read their reviews. If I could leave a NEGATIVE star rating, I would. These guys are the reason I HATE car dealers. They will lie to your face and give you a deal just to make you sign papers, then try to get you to buy another car. Here's my real-life experience with no exaggerations: I went and talked to a salesman there and negotiated a price for a Kia Optima Turbo, 2015. We worked out a deal which I will honestly say was insanely great (guess my negotiation skills outmatched the salesman's) and they brought me a paper to sign with the Out The Door price written on it. I looked it over and noticed that it didn't state the exact package I asked for, so told them to add that in. They did. They brought it back and told me to sign. I signed, and then they told me they'd have the car there for me in 2 days (located from another dealer, which they told me "we have a great swap relationship with them!"). I told them they needed to sign the paper and give me a copy as well, and they did. The next day I get a call in the morning. Vinny, the manager, calls and says the night manager who signed my deal didn't know it was "Out The Door" and that they cannot honor my deal even if they signed the papers. I told them it obviously stated "OTD" on the papers right next to the price, but he didn't care. He then said he cannot find my vehicle, which is why they can't honor the agreement. I told them they already located it at a nearby dealership which they had a good relationship with. He replied "we never work with that dealer". I called that other dealership and the manager there told me they'd be happy to swap with Jack Daniel's Kia, which I relayed to Vinny. He simply restated "but we can't find the vehicle, so how can we honor the deal?" At that point, I was frustrated and told him I'd leave honest negative reviews if he doesn't honor the deal. I even offered to pay an additional $1,000 if he'd do it. He replied "You know what? I was going to help you, but if you're going to threaten me with negative reviews, go ahead!" and hung up. In the end, I wasted hours of my life with these lowlife scam artists. If I wasn't so thorough in getting all packages and information written on the agreement, they would have probably pushed me to purchase one without any packages at the same price. Go to Kia of West Nyack. They're super nice and the state fees are cheaper than NJ anyway. I got my Optima Turbo with Premium Package delivered in 2 days for $1,000 more than originally agreed to with Jack Daniel's Kia and couldn't be happier! read more

I leased my KIA Sportage in 2012. We got an amazing deal, and Garrett was awesome! But that's where the accolades stop. My KIA ran great and when my lease was up, I was looking forward to leasing a new one or upgrading to a Sorrento. It turned out that the Sorrento was out of our price range, so we went back and spoke to Will about leasing another Sportage. As we were negotiating for about 10 minutes, the manager came over and interrupted our conversation. He told us that there was no need to negotiate because we clearly didn't understand what "caliber of car" we were talking about. He was extremely condescending and even laughed at my husband when we compared their asking monthly payment to our other lease (a Chevy Traverse.. Bigger). They were asking much more per month. Regardless, we were very insulted by this manager's attitude and left. I decided to go elsewhere to lease another vehicle. However my story doesn't stop here. Over the next several months, we continued to receive sales calls from KIA, 4 of which happens to be from Will... As if we had never been there before. Every time, we asked to be removed from the list because we didn't want to lease from them. Every time we explained how we had need insulted. At one point, we even spoke to the manager (a new one, the rude one was fired). He apologized and promised that our names would be removed and no one would call us again. I'm not surprised that we still get calls.... Also, during one of these calls, my husband decided to give Will another chance and told him what we were willing to pay. Will told him that he's call him in about 20 minutes. Will didn't call for another 2 WEEKS. This place clearly doesn't have competent staff who either don't care to write down notes in a customers file or to take off their name from a sales call list. We get so many calls from them, I'm starting to feel harassed. Incidentally, when I recently called to speak to the same manager who promised that I would not be called again (Vee), the man on the phone told me that I was "a little too upset and I need to calm down. Who cares that we call you? You don't have to answer the phone." Um... No I don't have to answer the phone, but I CAN write a yelp review! I will be writing another review on the amazing car dealership I did end up using because they were the exact opposite and deserve my business!! read more

I leased a Kia Sorrento 3 years ago and now would like to finance its purchase .I can tell you that this dealership has made it an ordeal !First, I had an appointment and I waited 2 hours being strung along the way only to be told to return the next day.The next day when I arrived the auto loan rate was not the quoted one .Furthermore they tried to charge me for etching , lifetime nitrogen tire service, and oil change and exterior detail. Previously they tried to sneak in a certification .They also insist on a ridiculous documentary fee of $493 .When I told them I was pursuing a bank loan they became uncooperative and misrepresented the process . I came in 2 weeks before my current lease from Honda would end looking to lease a K5. This dealer didn't have the exact one that I wanted and they claimed that they could get it from another dealer that next week. By the time the next week came, there was no communication from Alissandra. I had to call and text her just to hear from her. When I spoke with her, she claimed they were working on the deal and had to get it approved from accounting. She strung me along for 2 weeks knowing that my current lease was about to end. She kept saying that they would be getting the car that week with no exact date. After 2 weeks and my lease about to end in a couple days, I told her if she couldn't give me an exact date for when the car would arrive then she could cancel this deal. No response of course because she knew that they weren't getting the car. I then went to the Kia dealership in Englewood and they told me that this Kia dealer in Fair Lawn wouldn't be getting the exact car I wanted until a month after that. The guys at Kia in Englewood were able to tell me exact dates for when each dealer would be getting the exact car that I wanted, which all wouldn't be until that next month. They then told me that Alissandra was most likely telling me that they would get the car soon just so I wouldn't go anywhere else. Alissandra and Jack Daniel's Kia played with my time all while knowing I had a lease that was about to end. If I didn't choose to go somewhere else and continued to believe their lies I would've been without a car after my lease end date. DO NOT go here to purchase a car. We purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and have had numerous issues with it, which the service dept has unsuccessfully fixed. (I can't even get into all the details or this post would be far too long) We even purchased an extended warranty, but now apparently because the vehicle is a jeep they want us to bring it to a jeep service department even though we purchased it from them. Since we have purchased it, we have witnessed MANY managerial turnovers. I can't help but wonder why this dealership and service department do not have their act together. The car lease for our Kia Optima with Jack Daniels Kia is up next month and my husband and I had been getting calls from Jack Daniels Kia salespeople asking if we were interested in getting a new lease. We declined but the salespeople continued to call us back several times trying to push us to lease another car. We asked what to do to turn in our car and they told us to get an inspection done by a third party before turning it in. We wanted to make sure we didn't miss any details on returning the car, so we called Kia's Lease End Service and they said an inspection was not required before turning the car in. We went to Jack Daniels Kia to return the car, but the salesperson (Karim) refused, stating that we needed to have an inspection done. When I stated I wanted to leave the car, the General Manager (Renier Basulto) stated that he'd consider the car as abandoned. Mind you the General Manager opted to leave the dealership and speak by phone for all this rather than speak in person. I was so upset and humiliated that I had to leave the building. We then called nearby Fette Kia and asked if we could turn in our car to them as we were about 10 minutes away. The salesperson said "No problem, I'll take care of you." We went to Fette Kia and they said they'd take care of the inspection. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. It was wonderful for Fette Kia to show us kindness and respect even though we were not previous customers. What a difference from one dealer to another. read more

When he went to return the car they said he already bought the car. They didn't even tell him how much his interest was going to be. they wouldn't tell him till he sign. I'll start by saying a few years ago I tried this dealer and hated it, they didn't seem to want to work with me at all. However after getting a recommendation on a salesman, EJ, so I gave it another shot. We worked the whole deal out over the phone and the car was ready in a few days. The only reason for the delay was that a had a starter put in. But EJ was great to work with and I would recommend him to anyone I know who was looking. I'm very happy with my new lease and look forward doing future business. The ONLY issue I had was with some of the paperwork for the buyout on my old car, which was initially my banks fault, but then Kia took a LONG time finalizing it and almost caused me some trouble. hi, my car is 2018 kia sorrento SXL .(mileage 16,500mile) I spent 2 hours 45minute in service center (9:15am ~12:00PM) and they didn't respond my complain for long waiting time. Even they show very disrespectable attitude.(8/31, Saturday, labor day weekend). They wanted me to do tire alignment ($167) and one tier change($288) but i did not accept it. i did tire alignment in other autoshop already. In tire change, they said there is no leak in first time. After i denied tire alignment , they found out the leak in air plug not repairable. Even they forced me to sign the unsafe viechle by their inspection. after long waiting time, finally i got my car back and found tire pressure is 40, 40, 40, 51 psi. They didn't explain why so much tire pressure is on the one tire and even tire was not rotated as requested the service. I have very bad experience in this service center and will never use this service center & dealer ship. read more

Horrible. I purchased a used car from them about 3 years ago. After a week of having the car the window stopped working. I called and left many messages and did not receive a call back. I ended up getting it fixed myself Recently, I decided to refinance. When doing so I noticed I was charged for a rear view camera and navigation, that I do not have! I had to go back to Kia to apply for a gap refund, which I was told would take 4-6 weeks, it's been over two months and I haven't received a check. I went to look at the 2016 white Audi Q3 that they advertise on Carguru with 17,847 miles. The car has over 20,000 miles. They should report the correct mileage. This affects when they state how much the car is above or below market value. Lets see if they correct it read more

Very deceptive pricing. I saw the car for $17,004 on cars.com and the salesman seemed surprised and stated the price was more in their system. When I called the dealership, I was told by Christina that they had no additional fees besides the usual tax title and license fee. Also the website says the price "includes all fees to the be paid by customer except licensing costs, registration fees and taxes title" which they would not honor. As soon as i get some finance terms a $1500 reconditioning fee magically appears, which is for changing the brakes which is something they would have to do anyway to sell the car. This car has been sitting for months unsold and i see why, it even had to be jump started with a portable battery pack by the salesman because the battery was dead from sitting so long. I drove over there and wasted gas and toll money for nothing. Complete waste of time. I will never shop at a jack Daniels dealership again. read more

I had a 2013 Kia Optima that I leased from another dealer. The car was 17,000 miles over the lease so I had few options but to negotiate the best deal I could. I had already negotiated a good deal with another dealer but ended up negotiating a slightly better deal with Will Ihmaid. I'm so used to car salesmen pulling the old bait and switch that until I drove the car off the lot I wasn't sure if something would come up at the last minute that wasn't disclosed to me. I can honestly say that the entire experience at Jack Daniels Kia was as good as it gets when it comes to having to deal with purchasing a car. This is one of the worst carlot iI ever dealt with they lie about everything. For instance I gave them a deposit they told me it would be back in my count and a couple days it's been a month and still not my account.. I've been calling and they keep telling me it's going in my account count the lady was on vacation still not my account they lie about everything. Also they gave me one price on a car and then all of a sudden they told me there was no warranty on it because they wanted to up the price.. My plates its has been a month still not. The sales manager chris told me they would be in on monday called mnday not her. Called again on Wednesday still not in don't even know they're gonna come in,they lie so much. Saw a car on Sunday 5/9 on Carfax from this dealer. I inquired about it because it was so new it did not even have pictures yet. On Monday Diamond contacted me and I told him of my interest . He said that the car was not there anymore. I said "you sold it on Sunday". Hours later he said that it was a mistake that the car was on the way to the lot. I told him of my price range and he said he would get back to me. He sent me a form with the numbers on it. The price of the car increased $1000. Extra "fees" $450 extra on the taxes, and DOC fees. $160, and tried to get me to pay for etching. On the Carfax it stated the etching was done when the car was built, $195. So the car jumped $1800. Lou Pierro the manager signed off on the offer. I replied and did not hear anything until Wednesday when Diamond was wondering what I wanted to do. Claimed he did not get my text. I resent it to him, and he informs me the car was sold Tuesday. It was still on their website and Carfax on Wednesday morning. Diamond wanted to know if I wanted any other cars. I gave him the stock number of that car (got it from their website). He said that cars was sold today. Wanted to keep trying to sell me something else. Typical Bait and switch. One star because I can't give it a zero. . read more

Isaiah K called to inform me that my plates along with my second key is ready to pick up, allegedly the second key was found. 03/22/21 I went to Kia with the impression of obtaining my second key and when I came nobody was able to find my key. Alissranda P first said the manager have the key and he's going to bring it to me as I was waiting for over 25 minutes for someone to assist me, Will I came along. I spoke with Will I and told him the situation and he said he's going to follow up and make sure I get my second key.  Since I haven't heard anything I've decided to get to the bottom of the situation on my own. I called the Kia parts department and spoke with the manger Cody and he said my second key was ordered by Greg 03/11/21 and canceled 03/19/21 by Greg.  At this point I'm begging for my second key. I made a review and the Kia team saw it and Isaiah texted me , I'm unsure if it's from a personal number or not referring to the review. I spoke with the GM Louis and he wants to black mail me by saying once I take done my review then I can get my second key. Due to that I called corporate about the situation and I'm still waiting to hear back. read more
