But I think it has potential for a special event such as a kid's birthday party or bbq. It's low key and as mentioned by other yelpers, very clean. Parking is a cinch and the trees and rolling landscape keep the park cool. The playground is for ages 5-12, but my 2yr old handled it fine. The bbq area is close to the playground so even if you have one parent/guardian on kid watch, they don't have to be too far from the food. The basketball court is also next to the bbq area. So no matter your interest the family sticks close together. Only downfall, not sure if there are bathrooms though.

This also allows our dog to hang out and maybe get a nibble or two. Today's weather was not conducive to sitting outside. Fortunately, this park was across the street, had a nice view and plenty of available parking. We saw several other people with dogs and some adults with young children. There's a boat ramp, a dock, fishing pier, public restrooms, a playground, two volleyball nets set up and as I said earlier, a great view. Considering that the park itself is not huge, there's quite a bit to do.

It's located at a dead end in the middle of a nice residential area. The parking is basically just the dead end itself so it's very limited. The park is just a couple of minutes from Columbus Parkway. This park is so clean and new feeling. There is a nice field, just big enough to play a game of catch or to fly kites, etc. I do not recommend baseball/softball here, it's not big enough for that...maybe just whiffleball. There are two play structures which look very new and clean and are graffiti-free. One is designated for little kids and the other for big kids. I saw 2 bbq pits and 4 picnic tables located by the play structures but there are more further from the structures. There is also a walking path and a water fountain, I did not see a restroom though. Northgate Neighborhood Park is so nice and kid friendly. My nephew loved running around the field playing catch and sliding down the slides. He had a ball! This is definitely a park worth checking out! Love it!!!!

The wooden construction of the structures makes this one of my favorite parks to come to because it is just so refreshingly different. I will mention no swings, but there are slides of varying sizes. Benicia is such a beautiful place and there are so many great hidden gems here. This park is adjacent to a large open grass space where we noticed several birthdays happening, one with a jump house :) This park is all sand, fyi. There are places for parents/guardians to sit, and so many nooks and crannies for kiddos to explore and play. It's a nice perk getting to adventure to new spots for elevated parks, and this is one of them. Plenty of street parking, we can't wait to come back!

The majority of biking or walking is done on asphalt and for this type of activity is completely free. There are three self-contained RV sites available at first come first serve basis.
