Fortunately, this park was across the street, had a nice view and plenty of available parking. We saw several other people with dogs and some adults with young children. There's a boat ramp, a dock, fishing pier, public restrooms, a playground, two volleyball nets set up and as I said earlier, a great view. Considering that the park itself is not huge, there's quite a bit to do.

My only concern is that the small-dog area isn't as nice or spacious as the larger-dog area. If you have a small dog, you may end up in the main area with bigger dogs, so just keep that in mind. The wooden construction of the structures makes this one of my favorite parks to come to because it is just so refreshingly different. I will mention no swings, but there are slides of varying sizes. Benicia is such a beautiful place and there are so many great hidden gems here. This park is adjacent to a large open grass space where we noticed several birthdays happening, one with a jump house :) This park is all sand, fyi. There are places for parents/guardians to sit, and so many nooks and crannies for kiddos to explore and play. It's a nice perk getting to adventure to new spots for elevated parks, and this is one of them. Plenty of street parking, we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful views (including Carquinez Bridge in the distance, mountains, Amtrak was chugging along in the far distance also!), ocean air, and a breeze. It was pretty cold and foggy when I first arrived. Then, the sun peaked out more and got some vitamin D. I took a nice stroll on the sidewalk that winds around the pier and by a restaurant and some homes. The ocean view stayed front and center the entire time. There wasn't many people there at the time I went. It felt like I owned the area to myself for a little bit :) There's street parking (free). There were benches all along the sidewalk and the pier, if you just want to sit and watch the ocean waves. I definitely will be returning for some more Vitamin sea time! :)

There is a field of grass with a playground in the middle of it and a walkway that circles around the playground. Nice for walking laps. There is also a restroom here. This park used to be called Willow Glen Park (Apple Maps and Google Maps still uses this name) but was renamed into Steve Armenta Park to honor the fallen officer with its namesake.
