I was introduced to Jackalope Arts Fair through a Yelp event in 2025. I enjoyed it so much that I had to return to it with my eldest daughter in April 2026. It was held at Central Park in Pasadena. Schoolhouse Garage parking is conveniently located a couple blocks away. Another fun afternoon checking out tons of merchandise/food (i.e., clothing, leather, ceramics, books, kids activities, butterfly garden, olive oil, honey) and food truck vendors. So many cool arts and handcrafted crafts made by talented people. Visited the Information Booth and bought a cute long sleeve shirt with a picture of the jackalope on it for $20. I had a $5 off voucher for use, hence, I only paid $15. Cool! I am a magnet collector of my travels. Bought two intriguing magnets from Weird Animals. Thanks! Crossed path with Dem' Nutz once again. So happy to take home some amazing nuts. Don't forget to support them wherever you find them. It will be worth your while. I'm in love with this market. My daughter and I did the butterfly garden and she spent over an hour in there. I would recommend this for small kids as they are free to go in with a paid adult ticket and you can go in all day with the stamp. The items they sell are so cute and so unique. Food items are delicious and you will have many options to pick from. From honey to boba to cured meats. It's a great way to try lots of different items. read more

Spent Sunday morning exploring Jackalope Arts in Pasadena. This public fair has really grown in size. Tons of vendors consume a good majority of the park. Vendors include clothing, ceramics, leather goods, books, photos, kids activities, a live butterfly garden, and several food trucks to choose from. It's got everything you'd want from a local art festival, everyone was nice, live music and yummy scents from the many food trucks on the breeze. There's plenty of structure or street parking to get here. It's totally free and you can easily walk to Central Park and enter Jackalope. They have an information booth and sell some fun antler headbands. There's loads of different vendors selling art, clothes, food, etc. There's usually something for everyone. It nice to take a stroll through and shop. You can even bring your dogs along! They have lived music and food trucks by the street on Fair Oaks. Pasadena Humane is typically around with adoptable dogs! It is fully outdoors so keep in mind of the weather. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit! read more

What a beautiful experience. To witness so many booths, with such incredible and talented artisans. From soaps, to candles, to jewelry, to art and plants, this festival had a lot to offer. I was able to enjoy a funnel cake, while listening to music. Got to support a few artisans, talk and learn with some of the vendors. The weather was perfect too. Overall, a recommended fair. I've been to multiple Jackalope events in Pasadena and they are great! I also love how those events are usually right before Thanksgiving so a great time to do some gift shopping! They have everything from ceramics to jewelry to food items! I got a hot sauce sampler from Culture Hot Sauce as well as a pair of vintage earrings! Great experience! The last time I went to this art festival was around 10 years ago and not too much has changed, as far as size. It's still a showcase of a lot of local artists. When went 10 years ago, I remember there being a lot of painters or mixed media artists. However, that seemed to have change, and it's more a mish mash of home crafters. I personally liked the painters and mixed media artists more but I guess each their own. It takes about an hour to walk through. And as expected, many of the items are kind of expensive but on the other hand, you can see that some have put a lot of work into their art so I think some are justified for their price while others not so much. It's a fun place to go but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to attend. read more

Jackalope in Pasadena in April of 2025 was a little disappointing, but definitely no fault of the vendors or event organizers! The rain just had it out for the event. As usual, there were plenty of vendors to choose from, and in contrast to other markets, I feel confident that most if not all of the vendors were actually small businesses and not just drop shippers. I only saw one questionable booth that had crocheted pieces that I've seen on Temu/every Etsy shop. The food vendors were also improved this year, with plenty of savory lunch options to choose from. Love love love this local crafts event. It's kid and dog friendly. There's tons of small businesses selling handmade crafts that is perfect for Mother's Day or for any upcoming occasion. There's also lots of local vendors selling some interesting bites such as fancy cinnamon rolls, cookies, honey, and keto eats. How did I live in Pasadena for so long without ever going to Jackalope? So many small businesses, so many tasty treats, can't miss this again! My favorite part was the overall map / layout of all the booths that were present. From coffee syrup to salsas to pistachio butter... to woodshop, ceramics, fashion, art - anything artsy you name it, they probably got it! The price itself was never the cheapest, but knowing that money was going to a local small business is worth it. There were even a few unique acts from music to pictures with a python. I've heard of this event. First time finally coming to this event. Free 90 minute parking in a parking structure which is a short walk away. Quite a few people here with their dogs. Check in at their main booth and get a free yelp bag! They also had some free candy. If you need water, you can purchase it at their booth. Cheapest drink you will find, because the multiple food/drink venders have drinks that were higher priced than what I wanted to pay. Plenty of vendors to visit. Some neat stuff like: food, drinks, and really neat crafts. Prices weren't to bad depending on what you want to purchase of course. Some of the drink venders gave samples which was GREAT! I would definitely come back. Fun way to spend a few hours. read more

I love this artisan fair.I look forward to attending every year. In fact, I love it so much, I am going to their next one in Burbank this weekend. This artisan fair stands out to me in a sense that they have unique and high-quality crafts. I especially love their locally-made raw honey. The honey comes in interesting flavors such as Wildflower, Avocado and Lavender just to name a few. I have tried all 3 flavors and they all tasted delicious! The packaging is also beautiful and it comes in a pink draw-string cloth gift bag. The glass jar that holds the honey is reusable. This event is also a perfect place to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon. It is also an amazing place to find and shop for gifts especially with the holidays around the corner. There are food trucks and food stalls if you want to grab a bite to eat. There is also live music. An added bonus is it feels good to support local businesses and artists. 4.6 stars I don't know why it took me so long to learn about Jackalope Arts event! There are so many talented artisans and crafters! My favorites are the pottery, dog, and baked goods vendors. The event itself is also dog-friendly, which makes me and my dog so happy! First time at this Art Market in Pasadena and was blown away by how many artistic vendors there were! We went to the information desk to grab a map and checked out the 200+ cool and amazing stalls filled with art, jewelry, candles, soaps, pottery, and more. Everyone was really friendly and informative of their art. Parking - I parked at the nearby School house Parking structure, $1 for the first three hours. This is the second time I've come to the Jackalope Art Fair and definitely it's my favorite faire in SoCal. Everyone should come and support all the local artists - tons and tons of booths selling everything from jewelry to stained glass to handmade crafts. Love it. I always leave with gifts for people. Tons of food trucks and food vendors too. Parking is super easy at the Schoolhouse Garage. We were parked for like 3 hours and it was like $3. Awesome. Amazing fun event for all ages! I love these types events where everything is homemade/ handmade. There's so many booths from pottery, plants, jewelry, soap and so much more. It's definitely a great way to spend the weekend. My daughter and I bought some homemade soap, a hat, a plushie, a handmade ring and we also made our own slime! It was so much fun! A really nice two day arts and crafts festival was nice to see was PACKED with visitors of all ages and some with their furry companions. I wish I had brought my very well behaved beast with me. And I wished that some patrons left their unsocialized pets at home. (but that's a different rant). The festival was well curated, however I do worry about the pricing, yes we are experiencing inflation and the goods and wares are artisan made, but with more thought going into making purchases, it's a struggle to want to support the vendors and justify $50 on a candle. We did stroll around sipping on a $6 Kombucha and it was a lovely day. We scored metered parking a block away and it was lovely. I CHECKED IN on Yelp! and got a free Jackalope tote bag, which made me circle over to the info booth... where they had coupons for $20 at Flemings in Pasadena! We've been before and that was a great value! So thanks YELP, it was like getting 2 perks for checking in and would have missed it otherwise. read more

I'll start by saying the weather was PERFECT for a weekend art festival / fair. I was amazed by the sheer number and variety of booths - literally something for everyone. We checked in and got the map; were momentarily distracted by the AWESOME hula hoops! Became waylaid by books, baubles, art, plants, and so much more. I held tight to my wallet for fear of spending way too much money for all the novel crafts out there. The kids had a great time and got their faces painted, picked out a picture for their rooms, got a book, water bottle stickers, and made their own slime. MOST artists were super engaging and friendly -- save for one who barked at me not to take pictures. That is no criticism on the organizers of Jackalope, but really for THAT artist. I guess she was worried that I would copy her work - not the case. Her work was quite kitsch - but its allure was lost to her attitude. Unfortunate as I might have bought something. I thought the event was well-organized, clean, displayed a variety of artists and showcased a lot of fun stuff 'n things and entertainers. I can't wait for the next one! read more

I always look forward to Spring especially because the Jackalope Art Fair happens at the end of March. I walked my dog Frankie down to central park on what was an absolutely beautiful day. At the art fair one can find pottery, hot sauces, shirts, books, great food products, paintings, drawings, stuff for your dogs and cats, food trucks and some really cool minerals and rocks. Before I buy something I zigzag through the whole fair to make my purchase decision. On this visit I found a silkscreen artist that made a great LA Dodgers shirt I just had to buy. The orginizers of the show place the layout of the booths in a sensible fashion and the lanes between the booths are wide enough to accommodate a lot of people. Came by to check it out. They had a variety of art vendors and food and drink booths. They have a lot to look around and shop if you'd like. There's parking across the street but it can get full so depends when you arrive. Overall a good walk around 30-1hr depending on how much you decide to purchase. I was timid to come because the parking is usually a nightmare in this area but I was surprised to find a parking lot across the street for $1 for 2 hours. I do wish the vendors were a little more organized by category. I didn't like the fact that I would be by a vendor tent but they have a Jackalope Art # instead of their business logo and the map online isn't in numerical order so you really have to search for vendor names. The food selection and drink selection wasn't the greatest. I would consider this more of an amateur fair but it's cute. It's free so I definitely would stop by if I was in the neighborhood. First time attending and I am wondering why it took me so long to do so! Such a variety of artisans and crafters - great quality work as well! The vibe of the event is pretty laid back and I love that they allow people to bring their dogs. The only thing is that sometimes it is hard to find a specific craft that you are interested in, everything is spread out, but it does give you an opportunity to walk around, enjoy some good food, and meet new vendors. Went to downtown Burbank for lunch on Sunday afternoon and discovered that the streets were closed for this street fair, grabbed some lunch and then walked thought the fair, lots of artists showing their wares, along with some food items, nice way to spend a few hours. Went to the Jacalope Arts Festival in Pasadena, CA on Sunday. Here you will find lots of artisanal craft sellers with wares that range from clothes, pottery, jewelry, visual arts and food. This modest festival had several dozen booths to visit. This is a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon and do a little shopping. Especially holiday and gift shopping. The name of this art fair caught my attention. What is a Jackalope you ask ? Legend has it that the jackalope is the product of a male jackrabbit and a female antelope. Reportedly, jackalopes are extremely shy unless approached. If you encounter a jackalope, quickly fall to the ground, and remain calm and hum the Roy Rogers song, "Happy Trails to You." It Will see you as a friend and not attack. They like Cowboys. This Jackalope Art Fair is located at a Central park near Old Town Pasadena. There is some metered parking on the street and plenty of structure parking for $2, max $4 for all day. There are plenty of public restrooms and outhouses. The event is handicap accessible. From looking at past reviews, there was a Yelp booth at the last fair but I did not see them today 4/30/16. It's always fun to see fellow Yelpers , but I didn't see any today. I thought the fair would be bigger than it was. A past review said 200 tents. Today there was possibly 100. I was able to look at everything in one hour. I was planning to stay much longer, so I went to a local museum later to make the trip worth my commute. The booths that were there were very original and fun. I loved the Yeti booth. So creative mounting the stuffed animal heads. The repurposed sweater booth was really neat, but slightly overpriced. They used sweaters to make cute animal toys and pillows. There were jewelry booths , clothing , crafts , paintings , food, pet supplies, just a lot of friendly people that have cool booths. The park is dog friendly. Many people brought their pets. This is a great place to have lunch and do some creative shopping. I will definitely come back again , since this event appears to be an annual thing. read more

Overall, the Jackalope Arts Fair is okay. It is located in the park on Raymond Ave. that we all know because so many events and gatherings happen there. It is easy to get to, central to downtown Pasadena, just South of Colorado Blvd. Parking can be had on the streets, if you can find an open spot (maybe you can, maybe you can't) or there is paid parking around the area. The actual fair is your typical gathering of the various jewelry and craft makers. So, if you are looking for that kind of stuff you will find something. The organization could be a little bit better. The booths are not in all that established of rows, so it is kind of a mishmash. For some, I guess that is a good thing as you can simply wander around until you have seen everything but I kind of prefer a bit more structure at these events so I have a pathway as to where I am going. But, that's just me... Overall, it's a bit smaller than I expected, with fewer sellers than one would hope for. But, it is what it it is, a place to find unique and one of kind jewelry and crafts. read more

Jackalope Arts has been going strong in Pasadena for a while now and I finally made a point to check it out! This is an outdoor craft-y type fair right in Old Town--I'd say its worth checking out if you're into trendy handmade wares (more kitschy stuff, less fine art) or wanted to spend some time exploring the rest of the area. Old Town is super walkable and family/foodie friendly (and also my stomping ground, HMU for recs)! Jackalope is free (yay!) but parking in the area can be pretty terrible. I'm a personal fan of the Passport parking app since most Pasadena meters still require coins--you can also find a fair amount of inexpensive lots in the area. I personally found the selection of vendors at Jackalope just okay, but I wasn't really shopping for anything which may have had something to do with it. There were a few food trucks and a kid are with live music, both of which I thought were a nice touch. Restrooms are mostly limited to port-a-potties which is obviously not ideal, but another reason to go support some other businesses in the area! read more
