If you want more of a quiet, simple Christmas vibe, I feel like I would recommend this Christmas Tree Lane over the one in Altadena. It's not much, mostly just the very large pine trees in the neighborhood with some simple rainbow lights. Classic Christmas feel. Some of the houses have their own lights and decorations too. Plenty of parking and the streets are HUGE. I think, more so than looking at Christmas lights, my friend and I were more impressed with how bougie and fancy the houses were. So I guess if you want simple Christmas lights and to see how the other side lives, this is the place then. Doesn't take too long to see and not many blocks to walk/drive past either.

It looks so pretty! As I was driving to get home, I stumbled across these beautiful trees that were all lit up, I had to pull over and take these pictures. My boys were in the car and they said, "Mom, it looks like big bear but better!" Haha so it was nice for my kiddos to see as well. :)

    Very tall trees here.

I'll freely admit - I'm addicted to viewing Christmas lights displays. Fond memories of visiting with family & friends in colder climates has still included driving around looking at the shiny, magical lighted holiday scenes. I've enjoyed them in Chicagoland, and the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, the Bay Area, and around L.A. and the Conejo Valley, among many places. With the advent of LED lights, and computer-controlled lights & music, there are so many creative options for designers to explore. Hey, the hours of darkness are long this time of year - why not be clever with your time during the holiday season & share your spirit? That said, everyone has a preference for what they like to see in their seasonal light decor. The stately manors on St. Albans at Huntington in San Marino go for large trees with a simple design. It's actually hard to see the homes, sitting back from the street, as most do not add any additional lights - letting the gigantic evergreens do the talking for them. The draw here is a peaceful one. Only a block long, it's advisable to park your car, get out and stroll along the sidewalks to gaze up at the very mature trees. Surely cherry pickers are used to get the light strings all the way to the tops of these beauties. A few have an extra star treatment at the crown of the trees. Most just have simple multi-color glowing bulbs. It's easy to feel like a kid when gazing up from ground level to the soaring branches. It's not a wowie experience, but it is worth a stop over if you're in the general area. Now we've checked it off our list.

If you like seeing Christmas lights during the holidays, I think this place is worth a visit especially if you are in the area. It's located in the City of San Marino on Huntington Drive and St. Albans Street (only one side of the street). You'll see big, tall, wide, slender, short, fluffy trees with Christmas lights. These three are part of the beautiful homes. This a nice family and friends activity to get you in the mood for the holidays. ~Note: This can be a five-minute visit but you can stay longer to enjoy and appreciate the lights. We usually park, walk around, take pictures, and before we leave, I drive around for a final look. ::Experience:: Every year during Christmas my daughter and I come here to view the (we call them) big and tall Christmas Trees with lights. When we first discovered this neighborhood, more trees had lights; I think even last year there were more. My daughter and I walk around, take pictures, talk about the different shapes of the trees, pick which tree is our favorite, and admire the pretty view of all the trees. It's a great time to bond and reminisce about the year. ::Tips:: -Visit early (weeks before the holiday) to avoid traffic -Bring a nice camera ::M's Notes:: Street Parking

I always get super excited when Christmas arrives. Tis the season to be jolly singing Christmas Carols then Christmas lights and trees goes up. As one Yelper described it, one block and then that's it. I can see why the lights look much better in person. That said, I really appreciate the folks who setup the Christmas lights on these very unbelievably tall trees for public consumption. In addition, I like the Snow Family who welcome the incoming visitors. But when I arrived onto St Albans / Huntington st, some tree lights were not even on. I will drop by early evening to see if I get the same result. 2nd try I went again early weekday evening so much better: all lights were on this time! :) Tip: Plenty of street parking available. No crowds.

This the sister street to the Christmas Tree Lane in Altadena. I first chanced upon these festive lights while driving down on Huntington Drive and couldn't help being lured by the pretty lights. It's quite a sight to see these very tall Christmas trees lined up on both sides of the street on St. Albans, decorated with brightly lit and colorful lights. I couldn't help but keep thinking about the amount of work that went behind streaming Christmas lights down these incredibly tall trees. I've visited these lights three times since it's convenient to get to, never too packed nor difficult to find a spot to park, and I love the festive feel! :) While you may be tempted to take lots of pictures, the pictures really don't do this place justice. Instead, enjoy the moment and take in the beautifully decorated trees as you take a stroll down Christmas Tree Lane with your loved ones!

The staff at the entrance greeted us and explained pricing of admission and the options for kids. The pumpkins vary in size and color, the prices are written on the pumpkins, the stems are very long in many of them. The decorations are very cute, Disney themed to generic Halloween themed characters. Some animatronics and moving ones got my toddler a bit scared but he liked walking around regardless. There's a 13 and older section, I only went in for a peek and it seems to be small and probably better at night. They have a little tractor ride section for kids to drive a small tractor around a small track of boxes. The bouncy play area has four large bouncers, for 20$ unlimited it would have been more worth it if the sun hadn't made two of them too hot for the kids. There's a gate door to enter and they provide wristbands for the kids. The restrooms are portable ones near the side. There were lots of boxes of random pumpkins laying around and some things that look like trash. Overall, it was a nice experience and the decor was nice to walk around. I think we had our fill of this as a one time experience and maybe we'll be back given it's so close to a mall therefore parking is not an issue. We took lots of photos of ourselves with pumpkins as well!

The plants look healthy, beautiful, and well cared for, so it feels like a better-value choice rather than a lower-quality one.
