The staff at Jacks is always so helpful. For my job we have rented equipment from them before and they are really knowledgeable and have a decent selection of rental items. Personally I recently went here for the first time to get some disposable cameras developed and it was such a great experience. I brought in two cameras, I needed one set of prints for each, and then digital copies of each. They were done in less than an hour, the digital photos were emailed right to me to download and I was able to pick up the prints (which were great quality). The whole thing cost me $38 which I was very impressed with. I will certainly be coming back! read more

Semi-retired pro shooter (33 years of weddings and portraiture) and I have found Jack's Camera in Exton to be a great find. No need to order from national print companies--the national's work is excellent--but so is Jack's. Jack's prices are very competitive and the turnaround is exceptionally fast. Also had Jack's do digital copy work for 35mm and medium format slides. Their work and attention to detail is superb, and their customer service is fantastic. I wanted to check this store for some time and finally did it today. The first impression was awesome. My interactions with Mark were fantastic, and he is a knowledgeable person and provides expert and honest guidance. They have a wide range of cameras and the stellar collection. The camera I wanted to rent was not available at that time, so I will have to return next week to Rey it out. This is a perfect local shop to shop for a camera either to buy or rent to Rey it out before you buy. The rental prices are decent and affordable. They have tons of accessories for the photographer like tripod, flashes, background studio screens, portable screens, etc. No upselling and very honest responses. I love Jack's! I have been in the past to get disposable camera film developed, and recently I decided to invest in a reusable disposable-setup camera from Lenovo. This camera still uses 35 mm film, hence the reusable part. After I finished my roll, I went to Jack's to get it developed. The gentleman at the counter (not sure of the name) was incredibly helpful. I love it at Jack'a because the film is always developed within an hour! Other places like CVS ship it away for weeks at a time. After I got my prints, I also purchased three more rolls of 35mm film and he actually helped me load it and made sure that it worked, which was incredibly kind! Really a step above. read more

This Camera store is your one stop shop for everything photography. The service is wonderful. The knowledge betwixt the sales reps is extensive and impressive! We've had multiple VHS and 8mm videos transferred to DVD's here in this store. We have VHS tapes transferred to thumb drives. This place is actually incredible. I came here to get my disposable Kodak cameras developed and they did it in under an hour! The quality of the photos were also amazing. I used to go to Walmart to get my disposables developed and it would take over a week and the pictures would come back bleh. I was actually in shock at how great jacks cameras developed my photos and got them done in AN HOUR!! I'll never get my pictures developed anywhere else. They are also have very friendly staff and are reasonable priced. $16 for hard copy and digital on a flash drive! Great shop with terrific people. My Canon DSLR suddenly stopped working with one (close-up) lens, though it still worked with the telephoto lens. Mystified, I came to Jack's. They instantly - literally instantly - diagnosed the problem (Auto Focus function no longer working) and told me that, rather than spend money on repair or replacement, I could simply rely on Manual Focus. I LOVED that they didn't immediately try to sell me anything. Best of all, after they switched the lens to Manual Focus and took a photo, when they switched back to Auto it worked! These guys are my heroes! I bought a couple of lens hoods (I'd been meaning to buy them for a while, and felt I owed it to Jack's to make a purchase). While I was there, I overheard one of the guys VERY patiently working with an older customer who was technically challenged (as am I, obviously). Exton is a half hour away from me - but next time I need camera help or equipment, I'll go to Jack's. read more

Took my Z6 for sensor cleaning while on holiday. I picked it up the following day to find old spots gone, but new ones added. Took it back again and missed a photo op at the Valley Forge historical park. This time they did nothing because the dust must of fallen (albeit still in the chamber) and they could not see the new spots, I did leave them a new photo to show the new spots. Once I got home found that there were plenty of other spots on the sensor, and I get the sense it wasn't wiped very well, if at all. I found some of the same older spots, albeit fainter than they were originally, but still there. Regret taking it here and wasting my money. read more

I visited Jack's camera in Exton to see if they had the new Sony A9 mirrorless camera as I am looking to replace my old camera. I take many bird/wildlife photos and wanted to see if this camera would be good for that type of photography. I asked the man working the camera if he had the sony A9 and he said "Maybe". Then did not say anything else. After a minute or so,I asked what "Maybe" meant. He stated he did not have the camera there, but could get it. I asked if he thought the camera would be a good choice for bird/wildlife photography. He replied all SLRs are good for that. I then stated that from my experience, having a higher fps is helpful for taking photos of birds in flight. He replied in a demeaning tone "not if you are a decent photographer". From my experience, I believe having a higher fps helps with getting action shots. I do not recommend this shop, as I felt like I was not treated with respect, and the salesman gave questionable/poor advice. I left and will not come back. read more
