I went just to find brauts and found more than I could enjoy... they have several flavors... I need to focus and not over-buy, to make sure we didn't waste any food. I purchased regular (2), Cheddar and Bacon (4), Chicken spinach and cheese (4), and pineapple teriyaki (2). We did share slices with everyone at the event and everyone let out audible "YUM!"s and more... all were fantastic; the chicken, spinach and cheese were the strongest favorite. As I thin made my way to the registers, I also picked up local cheese curds (which were eaten quickly at the park), pickles, a watermelon, and some Michigan beers. I would award a sixth star if I could! I am thankful I found Jack's on this trip and look forward to returning the next time we're in town. Thanks, Jack's!!

I just picked up my first box of lusciously green goodies tonight to kick off the 2011 season and I'm so excited! Giving Tree Farm is a non-profit run by Community-Based Interventions. It started as a community garden for people with disabilities and today is the home of vocational training and rehabilitation for people who have suffered brain injuries. You can find their produce in local farmers markets and at the East Lansing Food Co-Op [ http://www.yelp.com/biz/east-lansing-food-co-operative-east-lansing ] as well as in local restaurants. I love everything about this place... you've got to check them out and give their wonderfully fresh and healthy produce a try. I have been standing in my kitchen eating spinach and mixed spring salad out of the bag for the last 10 minutes.

Absolutely arrogant staff members! I have frequented this location for years as I've liked their…read moreplants. But today's staff interaction was the worst. Because of the snotty talkback by two girls here I put back my $200 worth of plants and walked out. I'll be finding another greenhouse to frequent. The vegetables were not well marked and I got to the register and when they rang up at a higher price I questioned it. I was told all of those 4" plants are a different price than what is posted all around the rest of the area. Apparently some plants do not have a flat price but EVERYTHING else in the area does! Also the price difference was only on sticks inside of the flats and concealed. All other isles have well marked LARGE signs with individual and flat prices that say "All Vegetables". I tried to explain to the girl that this was confusing to the customer how it's laid out and got told in a very snobby way "if you say so sir" along with a cheeky forced smile with gritted teeth. Bottom line management you need to correct the attitude of some of your staff and please clearly mark sections if there is a difference from all the other rows. I don't know maybe a Big Sign at each end of the isle that says "all vegetables in this row are X price".
