Jack's own Barbecue Sauce is my absolute favorite. Their pickled beets and corn relish really good. What I don't like is the eggs that are being sold off a cart in the aisle when the refrigerated case is over stocked. read more

It's 3:25pm June 22nd, 2025 and I was helped by a woman maybe in her 70s. Brown medium size hair with prescription glasses. She was not friendly to me, which I wouldn't take personal but I noticed she was friendly to the man in front of me. I'm not sure if it's because of the way I look, or because I'm not white or because I'm a woman but she could have been friendlier. I forgot my eggs and ran back inside. She was walking toward the door when she found me and after I said thank you all she had to say was "glad I didn't have to go far"..with absolutely no smile. it was an honest mistake and did it warrant any attitude. I am a kind customer and deserve respect. I like jacks but I will report her if it happens again. read more

I come here for one really purpose every time I visit from OKC.. Wild caught salmon!! They have the best!! They also have a great selection of fresh fruit And produce. The wine selection though is sub par. I really wish they featured better wine. There are so many great Michigan Wines!! But you won't find them here. What Jacks does best is Meat and seafood!! Come here for a select cut of meat, bacon, pork, or seafood. The produce is fine, but I wished it was more expansive. read more

Old fashioned service meat counter,cheeses,lunch meats,beer,wine ,spirits. The produce here is run of the mill. There are none of the slecialty items that you would expect in a downstate "produce market". Would lov eit if they brought in more specialty stuff. read more

Good for basics, with an especially impressive cheese and bread selection. They have quite a few items that Meijer and Walmart are missing, including bread from local bakers and Amish-made cheese. The meat counter looks great and everything is clean. Wines and beers aren't horribly priced here but I'd stick to the aforementioned big stores unless you are in a hurry. As for produce, stock seems to be pretty well-maintained and there is even a shelf for discounted fruits and vegetables that are about to go off. It's close to the freeway exit as well, so it's convenient to stop here after work to get basics for dinner. read more

For the most part their meat is ok. But I know they sell old meat. Stay away from their chicken for sure. Bought 5 lbs last week and I went to use it a day later and it smelled so nasty and was unusable! Guess I need to find a better quality market. I'm Avoid chicken and that marinated garbage, just a coverup for nasty meat. read more

Been coming here forever! I moved from MI in 1994 and always stopped in whenever visiting family. Now that I am back in MI I am thrilled to come way more often. The butcher shop is extensive and hey have my favorite cherry turkey jerky. My husband loves the sandwich spread and olive loaf...rare but delicious treats. They also have some of the best seasonal, local produce at super prices. read more

I always buy meat, veggies and fruit from Jack's. It is more pricey than Walmart or Kroger but it is worth it.

I moved back to Michigan after 8 years in Las Vegas. Out in Las Vegas, there is a year round supply of a cut of meat called the tri-tip. It is excellent for grilling, roasting, frying, or pretty much anything you want to do to it. It is a nice dense cut, and still cooks tender. Well, in Michigan (or pretty much anywhere that gets a winter), tri-tip is sort of a summer cut. Almost impossible to find in the winter. I got ahold of a friend who works at Jack's, and he told me about another cut, and said he would have the manager, Mike, call me (my husband, actually). Mike got four pieces of a cut that is VERY similat to tri-tip. We paid a VERY reasonable price (since we were paying upwards of $10.99/lb in Las Vegas), and I have two marinading for a super bowl party. Well, I took one out a few days ago and made chili in my slow cooker with it... HOLY COW!!!!! It was the best chili I have EVER made! Or eaten! I am very pleased with my experience at Jack's (my first in over 8 years)! My friend and the manager were both extremely helpful, and got me something that not only met my expectations and needs, but exceeded them! Excellent product! Excellent service! read more
