Because of Covid my 17 y/o son's Lacrosse season was canceled so he started getting serious about fishing with his friends. I wanted him to have a really good fishing experience and looked up some guide services. I'm so glad we decided to use Jack, we had the best time and caught a lot of fish, most keepers and some very nice sized. We paid for the 6 hour, afternoon session and it was more than enough time. Within the first 30 minutes we were catching fish, Jack knew just how to find them. Not only were we catching fish, Jack took the time to work with my son on different types of casting, working around docks, etc. The main reasons why I choose Jack is the years experience he has on the lake and I'm so glad we did. read more

Specialties

Working in the fishing industry since I was a kid has put me in so many situations. I have been able to help everyone become a little bit better of a fisherman. This lake is a special lake. This area, the rivers are unique in that you won't find anywhere else quite like here. I spend 300 days a year outside and there is a rule about the outdoors; nothing stays the same for very long. While this "whatever" was working, things do change.

History

Established in 2008.

I moved to Southwest Missouri to attend college and more importantly, to work for Bass Pro Shops. After fishing tournaments with some success at age 23, I decided to try taking people out fishing for hire. I then decided to move to the recently voted #1 recreational lake in the country to live and work. These small steps eventually got me to where I was able to grow my business to full time work in 2008. It's been a lot of hard work, so much more than people realize, but worth it in the end.

The rates were very reasonable- we got a 4 hour rental for $180 plus gas, and I only called yesterday to reserve it. Must be 25 with a credit card and valid driver's license to rent. The owner was very thorough in explaining how to use the boat, gave directions around the area, pointers and tips in case we got lost, help with how to maneuver the boat in case of choppy waters or wake from other boats, etc. The boat was clean and quite easy to use. They also have jet skis and speed boats as well as tubes available for rent, also at very reasonable prices. He made suggestions for places to eat, asked if we had a good time- a very personable guy. I would definitely use this company again. They also have vacation cottages available for rent here.

I scoured the interwebz to find the boat of our dreams (at a particular price point) and Aqua Toys was just what the doctor ordered. $225 for four hours was a steal! Plus, $20 for the aqua stack pad was well worth it. We called in advance to set up a four hour rental on a ten-person pontoon. We arrived about thirty minutes early, our (newbie) driver got the rundown and felt pretty prepared. (Pro tip, take pictures of the forms you sign with basic boat driving etiquette-- to reference later.) The staff was insanely helpful and friendly-- even giving us a quiet cove recommendation that really delivered! The boat was clean. Bluetooth radio was great. The aqua pad was a huge hit with the adults and kiddos. 10/10 would recommend and will be renting again with them next summer. It is no wonder Aqua Toys has been around for darn near 30 years-- they make renting a boat affordable, easy and fun!

The people that worked here were super reasonable laid back people and they allowed us to only rent them for two hours and give the office a call if we wanted to rent them for longer. We ended up doing 2 hours then called back for 2 more and one more time for one more hour lol. They were not very strict and they didn't care about how long we had them out.. They gave us a map of where we were allowed to go, they fitted us for life vests and quickly showed us how to do what we're supposed to do on the jetskis and sent us on our way. These JetSki's were in great shape and super fast (turbo-d ones) and super responsive! Almost impossible to flip. This was honestly the time of my life out on the water we got to stop at restaurants with docks on them and we went swimming and just speeding around having so much fun!!! A wonderful experience thanks to WFO watercraft rentals!!! If I ever came back to the Ozarks this is where I would get a boat rental or JetSki next time!!

Filled it up on the way back for about $100. Had the time of our lives and at 6:00 when we pulled back in, they were waiting for us! I rented 3 pontoon boats for my youth softball team while we were in the Ozarks. We agreed on price…read moreand delivery of boats to my condo docks. Received contract with delivery location. I paid the 50% deposit and balance was due once we received boats. The boats were good other than one didn't have a working radio and they gave us a small wireless radio that couldn't even be heard, gauges on one boat didn't work. We returned boats with the more fuel they were brought to us with (less than 1/2 tank). Then I get a $500 larger charge on balance. I reached out to them and they told me that it was a delivery charge because our location was farther than they expected. My delivery location was on the original contract so they know exactly where I was. Now I just get an additional charge for $250 supposedly for fuel. We left the boats with more fuel than they gave them to us with. I have disputed the charges with my American Express card and I'm waiting on answers. Be aware of this company and the sneak attack of them, charging you extra and not honoring the original contract that was agreed to.
