My car door got the garage door string caught so when I reversed my vehicle out of the garage it pulled the string causing the garage to come down. I ended up damaging the lower panel. The garage was stuck and would not close.. Called Jacks and they send someone within an hour. They were able to force close the garage and order the panel. I was so impressed by the Customer Service of this business. I offered them a challenge of finding decorative window inserts for our garage door which had long since been discontinued. I had gone to Lowes who couldn't help, and then Home Depot where the associate actually recommended Jack's Overhead Doors, claiming he had heard they were great... and YES they were. It actually took some time to find inserts that would work, but they didn't give up- and actually the replacement inserts are more beautiful than the ones we had! His work is reasonably -priced as well as solid, and the attitude of its employees is that sometimes rare mix of professional and friendly. I have spoken with Shelley in the office about them doing another job for us, and she exudes this same rare mix. I cannot say enough about them. By the way, per Shelley, they beat San Jose prices even when they have to commute to San Jose, so I am anxious to test this theory! I have a feeling it will be true. Called one afternoon last week and spoke with a very pleasant woman. She stated they could replace my remote battery - the case is very hard to open - so I said I would be right down. The young man who assisted me not only opened it up, replaced the battery and put the whole thing back together. Additionally, gave me a tip regarding the use and how the remote may reset so "try it a couple of times and then, if it doesn't work hit the reset button on the unit". I didn't actually have a chance to work with these guys, but I just called and the secretary was able to help me troubleshoot my garage door on the phone, so here I am trying to payback that good deed. My garage door works on the warm days, but sensors stop working when it gets cold or night time. The lights on both sensors were on so I presumed everything was OK, but the woman on the phone told me that they can still be very sensitive, and that I should clean them and realign them. Sure enough, realigning was the problem. Sensors were aligned close enough to have the light barely come on, and work on warm days, but as it got cooler it stopped working. Found myself with a broken garage door spring this morning, so I couldn't get my car out. Called Jack's Overhead Doors and they were able to come within an hour. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and understood that I needed my car out ASAP. Was planning on just having them help me open it to get my car out and I would have it repaired by the company my home warranty was going to dispatch. But...the technician (Cory) was so friendly and helpful that I decided to have them do the repair also. He gave me a couple different options for repair and was very knowledgeable on the pros and cons of each one. He got it done quickly, carefully, made sure it was adjusted correctly and even cleaned up some extra grease on the tracks left by the previous owner of our house. 5 stars for Cory and Jack's Overhead Doors! read more

Great service! I had a broken spring on my garage door and could not open the door. Called Jack's at 1:15 and was quoted a price to replace both springs and told someone would be out between 3:00 and 5:00. Technician showed at about 3:30. Because the garage has a false ceiling there is very little clearance to work with. He had to completely disassemble and take outside to change the springs. He did it with a smile and in the end the final price was the same as the phone quoted price. Very professional and knowledgeable. No hesitation about recommending this company highly. read more
