Maybe it is because I generally don't buy all that much - all I the software that I use is freely available, and I generally only get hardware when I absolutely need it - that I don't visit many computer shops. This place isn't bad, though the staff are only knowledgeable on the stuff that most people use, so if you come with a question like 'does this work on Linux' there response is - it should. Also, if you are looking for component parts (such as a power supply) then unfortunately you won't find any here. In a way it is a store that deals specifically with computers, and really only stuff that the average user would require. They also tend to be a little more expensive that some of the other store, but at least they do know a little more than your average salesperson at Dick Smiths.

I checked into MKC in Melbourne's city centre after finding them online. My iPhone had stopped recognising when it was connected to recharge, so I took it in and was told it'd probably be either the battery itself or the dock that accommodates the cable. The conversation went like this: Me: Hello. My iPhone is a brick. MKC: What's wrong with it? Me: (Explained what was wrong with it). MKC: Oh. That'll probably be the battery or the cable dock. One of the coolest items i've seen in Xero is a phone handset (think the one you had a few years back, attached to a unit with a curly cord) that can plug into your iphone, so you can use your iPhone like a home phone.
