The three sales guys nearly fell over themselves to serve me.Once that was sorted, the assistant was very helpful with some great advice. It is slightly off-putting to come here at first as this establishment appears to be dirty and full of computers everywhere. A great, convenient locale which trades as a computer repair store; a store that buys and sells laptops and is also a high quality and fast Internet Cafe with cheap printing facilities. The rates are fairly cheap; we are talking about $2 for 20 minutes use of the Internet; not unlike paying the same amount for only half the time. And the loyalty system is quite good here as well. Regardless of how long you are on the Internet at any given moment; a minimum of 20 minutes is best to get your money's worth; for every five visits you earn credits to ensure that your sixth visit in using the Internet here is free of charge. Overall great value and prompt, friendly service. The same person is in all the time (he could be the owner) yet he always stops what he is doing at any given moment to look after each and every customer which is good to see; it is fantastic.

After a week of dealing with Telstra, a new modem and hours of trouble shooting, I called these guys. I dropped the box to them at 11am on a Saturday and had it back that same morning all fixed for less than the cost of a few pizza's! They diagnosed the problem quickly, replaced the fried part and gave me tips on getting the machine to run more efficiently. I'll definitely save myself hours of frustration and call these guys next time I have a problem!! Highly efficient and very reasonably priced :)

They offer monitors starting at a couple of hundred dollars, and whole (relatively new) PCs and netbooks for upwards of around three hundred. They also offer a repair service, although that's not exactly something I can speak to.

Okay, despite being a bit of a computer geek (though I wonder how one defines a computer geek these…read moredays since pretty much everybody used computers) I generally don't spend all that much time in computer shops. Maybe it is because I generally don't buy all that much - all I the software that I use is freely available, and I generally only get hardware when I absolutely need it - that I don't visit many computer shops. This place isn't bad, though the staff are only knowledgeable on the stuff that most people use, so if you come with a question like 'does this work on Linux' there response is - it should. Also, if you are looking for component parts (such as a power supply) then unfortunately you won't find any here. In a way it is a store that deals specifically with computers, and really only stuff that the average user would require. They also tend to be a little more expensive that some of the other store, but at least they do know a little more than your average salesperson at Dick Smiths.
