Yes, I know I should have checked the bag myself, but when you're trying to drive, manage crying kids, navigate an unfamiliar area, and get back on the road, you can only do so much. We've been on the road for 4 hours & have another 4 hours to reach our destination , so turning around isn't even an option. Instead, we have one child screaming because their meal is missing, and the other kids have to share their food because someone didn't take the extra few seconds to make sure the order was complete. Mistakes happen, but when families are traveling, a little attention to detail goes a long way.
