I filed my taxes with Peggy back in February and now it's May and I still have not received my refund yet due to an error. I contacted the place back 3 times so they can help figure out what is going on but no call back since they already got paid. I asked for the supervisors contact who's name was Trio, the number kept going straight to voicemail. Taxes are stressful as it is, i HIGHly recommend going elsewhere. Paid 400$ for their services which I thought was absurd. Booking my appointment online said 80$ till we finished my taxes and she said no it's 400$ so I felt bad for all that work she did to change my mind and go else where. Man was I wrong.

I ended up having to pay 193$ just for them to fill out a simple form. i didn't even have any write offs or claim and dependents!!Also, i got the "prepaid card" and was told i would get my money later that day, and here, 6 days later i have gotten nothing on my card. my refund was over 1000$ but after having to pay all of their fees and pay for the prepaid card that never got any money put on it i was down to less than 800$. I was told i would at least get some of my money in advance, but i never did. And i got charged for a card that i'm never going to use. If i were you i would use turbo tax, or do your own taxes somehow. They charged my boyfriend over 240$ to do his taxes! I got ripped off and there was nothing i could do about it. Oh and the only way you can get your money without paying and stupid fees is if you have your bank account number and routinf number so they can do direct deposit, but of course they don't tell you that on the phone and no bank is going to give you that information over the phone so to are stuck with either paying 40$ fee for a check or a 35$ fee for the card. And with the card they give you, you can't even withdraw the money. They charge you 3$ every transaction you make. Unbelievable rip off. I need my tax return and they stole 1/4 of it and never gave me any of it in advanced like i was promised. And when i do get it, it's gonna be on that stupid card they MAKE you get.

Right away, I was uneasy but this was the closest firm to my house within walking distance. This is not what you'd expect an Attorney/Cpa's office would be. I was given a packet of information about the office and the photocopies were so bad I could hardly see who represented this firm. I dropped my taxes off and was told they weren't fast, but would get them done. I called a week later to check the status and was told my the man who answered the phone that he had no ideas how long my taxes would take. Tax season is stressful enough and hearing that certainly wasn't reassuring. I definitely will not return.
