We came in on a Saturday, wrote our names down & waited about an hour before they were ready to take us in. There's plenty to do in Jackson so waiting wasn't a problem at all. When we were visiting Jackson from out of town, we decided to get our family photos taken here and use them for our Christmas card. The first day we walked in they were completely booked so they asked for us to return the following day first thing since they weren't taking any reservations. We showed up, were the first in line and were very pleased with our overall experience. The costumes were great, the set up was very cool and our boys didn't complain once. I've always loved Western movies/culture and the characters. We had so much fun taking photos here. We came in on a slower day. Walk-ins welcome. The owners were so pleasant and funny. Omg we had the absolutely best time doing this on our brief stay to Jackson this Spring. Popped in on a whim because bestie thought it looked cool. I was a little bit apprehensive to play dress up. But once we were in it, we were all in. Can't recall the gentleman's name who dressed, posed, and took our photos, but he was so kind, patient, and professional. My 9 year old loooves Halloween and he got so into this it was adorable. Now he wants to be a cowboy for Halloween. Might be a sucker for shoots like these every time I vacation because of my excellent experience here. Highly recommend, it's fun to play tourist! read more

We signed up for a time but there was someone that didn't show up for their slot earlier and we came in. The photographer was very nice, but rushed us through our photos (6 people) and didn't really direct us with posing much. The costumes were in rough shape and didn't stay on too well. There were very few choices for accessories as well. We were done and looked at the photos, but she promptly told us that the people she bumped were waiting and we didn't have time for anything else. We spent $500 and felt rushed the whole time. read more

My daughters and I stopped in to have some photos done and we are so glad we found this place. The photographer, Joe, is a real master of his craft (20+ years) and this felt more like an authentic portrait session than a drive-thru photo shoot. He is professional, efficient, and very creative! When we got done with our session, my daughters (12 & 14) expressed how much fun they had. I will definitely go back if/when I return to Jackson...and I'm certainly recommending this studio to my friends! read more

Stop in Jackson Hole on a family national park vacation and after a few beers at the Snake River Brewery, my family strolled through the downtown area and while seeking a restroom saw the sign for Jackson Hole's Old Time Photos. My wife and I had talked for years about doing one of these and with our oldest child about to enter her senior year of high school, we decided the time was now. The owner and his employee were very nice and there was no pressure or sales pitch at all when we were looking around and asking about pricing. The staff member was in training to take the photos and she took some of the photos while the owner took some of the others. The scene that was captured for our family was priceless and one of the funniest things I have ever seen. We were so happy with the result and can definitely recommend this establishment. read more

Joe was wonderful! Originally it was just going to be my husband and our daughter but then we convinced the whole family to do it - 11 of us! Joe didn't miss a beat. This could have been a great experience, but it wasn't and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My husband and I were visiting from Michigan and had one day in Jackson Hole and taking an old time picture has been on our list of things to do. We went in on a Monday, wearing facemasks as required. I have a disability that limits my breathing so I tend to pull the mask away from my nose, while still covering it, so that I can breathe. The guy kept telling me that it needed to be completely over my nose and I couldn't pull it away. I explained my disability yet he kept insisting that for the sake of other customers I MUST keep it over my mouth. There were no other customers there, ZERO. He then backed up 10 feet and yelled at me "You're not even trying!". Seriously?? The mask was on, it was over my face and nose, I had it pulled away so I COULD BREATHE!! This guy doesn't know my medical history, he doesn't know my personal history. I guess people with disabilities don't have rights anymore? Don't go here. Bad, BAD customer service. read more

Experience was very disappointing. The girls up front turned what could have been a really fun time for our family into nothing more than a transactional "we just want to get this thing over with and take your money" kind of touristy BS. I felt icky giving them my money and the only reason I didn't walk out immediately after the first rude interaction was because of my kids...I had promised them old time photos. Also, we were not allowed to take our own candid photos (my 6 yr old looked so freakin' cute!) for fear we would not purchase their extremely overpriced ones. Really?? We offered to pay upfront to ensure they got their money but we were still denied, wtf?? This business is clearly not optimizing for social media promotion or customer reviews. Seems the business model is just as antiquated as it's photos. 2 thumbs down. read more

I've had other old time photos taken of the family over the years but I have to say this place is horrible.....they take the most unflattering pictures ever. I don't know what the photographer did but every picture that she took just enhanced my double chin. I am not a skinny person but I've had pictures taken where you can barely tell that I had a double chin. So if you are a little over weight be aware of this place.....they charge you a ton of money for horrible unflattering pictures! Real photographers should know that chunky women don't want their double chins enhanced and that there are different camera angles that help with that. Very upset and disappointed. Plus on top of that, they didn't even offer a refund or a chance to retake. I left the store crying and my husband was forced to pay for the horrible pictures read more

Right after leaving old time photos, i managed to leave the photo behind at a local pizza shop. By time we realized, i was in Idaho Falls. The girls at the shop were really great about it (and the pizza shop). They retrieved the photo and mailed it to me a little later at their own cost. Over and above for service.
