Paradise-like setting Friendliest staff Unique accommodations I've been staying in hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, tents and other traditional lodging for much of my traveling life. This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it. read more

I don't remember the first time I said I love you. I don't remember my first pb&j. And I don't remember my first kiss. But I do remember moose creek ranch. Came here in the dead of winter a day before New Year's Eve. Was greeted by a friendly staff, which is odd these days. Not one staff member was dragging their feet or complaining about a thing. They knew the area, the lay of the land, current weather and had recommendations for what the thrill seeking Texan could get into. This place had lovely views, doors that locked, water that was warm, stocked coffee area, snow shoe gear for rental that was a breeze. Cause who wants to wait in line when your impatient and want to get moving? I'm older, overworked, underpaid, and somehow this place... this place made all that worrying go away. Say hello to penny if you're lucky enough. Who's penny??? When it happens... you'll know. No that isn't a ghost metaphor. Kick your feet up or get them moving east bound to get into the Rockies and link up with the Tetons. You won't regret this place. I'm already planning my next trip. our family of five stayed here. We have 3-13-year-old kids! They were never at a loss for something to do. The lodge had tons of games that you could play outside plus a pool table books to read and just about anything you can think of. The creek running through the back of the property made for endless hours of fun. But the very best thing about the entire place was the horseback riding! The gentleman that took us was an amazing guide, and the horses were absolutely beautiful and steady! The scenery wants to die for. Even if you aren't staying at the ranch I would totally recommend the riding stable! Too much fun! read more

We stayed at MCR from Jun 23rd to the 29th and initially had booked glamping to unplug. This was based of our prior experience in Colorado. With a 6 day stay in mind we decided to switch from Glamping to cabin ( have the option to cook and AC of course) and they were able to accommodate that for us. Our stay couldn't have been more fun, relaxing and enjoyable. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! We also met Penny who's protector of the goats. SHe stopped by our cabin almost every morning to supervise the 5 goats haha . Amazing place to visit ! read more

The lodge had everything you could want....games, blankets, rocking chairs and a beautiful fireplace. I was also able to get in an awesome horseback ride. We went on a road trip through Yellowstone and Grand Teton and landed in Jackson Wyoming( only about 20 minutes south of Grand Teton) looking for a place to stay for the night. After endlessly searching, and only finding hotels that were way too expensive and not pet friendly, we happened upon a city in Idaho named Victor. It was only a 30 minute drive so we took a chance and booked a room at a ranch we found online. Turns out this little city is a gorgeous location nestled right in Teton Valley. We were so excited when we arrived at the Moose Creek Ranch and it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner. She was sweet and professional. We stayed in a single bedroom attached cabin home and it was adorable. Decorated like a cabin should be and even had buffalo checkered blankets and pillows. Full kitchen, leather sofa, plenty of space and a full bathroom with everything you'd need for your stay. The grounds were beautiful situated between national forests, there was a creek and a trail behind the property. Our room had a deck and that's where we spent most of our time admiring the views. Here are our tips for staying here: Book a room. Arrive. Enjoy. Apparently this location hosts weddings and events and it's clear why. We cannot recommend this place enough whether you are glamping in there tents or staying in one of there rooms. read more

Wow! We came from Atlanta to get a different experience. Moose creek ranch provided that and so much more. From the time you check in you experience the above-and-beyond customer service. The ranch is beautiful with stunning views everywhere you turn. We had the rendezvous cabin which was private and very clean. We were looking for some climbing and hiking to do and Tony at the front gave us a day full of stuff to see. When we got lost looking for one location he answered the phone and guided us there which was very helpful. Our stay here was one of the best experiences in our traveling. Victor ID is a neat little town with cool in-town spots and you aren't far from Grand Teton. It was cool how they had options for cabin with electricity and bathrooms for us but also the glamping cabins and RV areas were really neat. Loved it! read more

My fiancé and I stayed one night here and if we didn't live in California we would for sure be hosting our wedding here. We booked the last little cabin they had left and we had no idea how lucky we had gotten until we got there. This ranch is just pure bliss, it's quiet and so beautiful. They have tons of stuff to do as a family, and have a great little access to a river just seconds away from the property. They provided us with a full kitchen to cook our meals, firewood and ice, extremely clean bathrooms and showers, and stuff do like a pool table and volleyball court. It's safe to say we'll be back with friends and family after our visit. The staff was so friendly and helpful, Tony and Ben especially were great. We didn't get the groundsman's name, but he was awesome too. We're very grateful we stumbled upon this place online and recommend it to anybody who is heading that direction! Everything is provided - linens, pots & pans, dishes. Stayed at the big house. Lots of room for a family reunion. Highly recommended. Not too far from Jackson (45 minutes) or Yellowstone (90 minutes). Hiking nearby. Microbrewery also close by in Victor! Lodge is a great place to hang out. Pool table, internet access, fireplace, card tables, etc. Outdoors are BBQ grills, a teepee, horseshoe pit, and more. All included!! Owners are great, friendly, and accommodating. read more

I had the pleasure of staying at Moose Creek Ranch during a recent family reunion. The grounds are beautiful with lots of grass, a stream and horses! Our cabin was clean and well stocked and the main rec hall was roomy with lots of seating, TV and a pool table. I recommend taking a horseback ride. The staff was great and very accommodating as we had 15 riders ranging from adults to a small child who was given his own ride! The area is beautiful and a stone's throw from Jackson, WY. For a great family oriented place to stay, I highly recommend Moose Creek Ranch. They also have lots of space for weddings and special events. read more

Visited Moose Creek Ranch on a trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Stayed in the glamping cabins (note - they are not what is pictured on the site as of July 2016 as they have cabin walls but we liked that and found it to be a positive). Grounds are well maintained and the owners/inn keepers are incredibly nice and accommodating. Bathrooms for the cabins are a bit of a walk from the glamping area but super clean and very nicely done. While they are really hot until sun goes down, ultimately you aren't in the mountains to sit inside a "tent" all day so that shouldn't matter! Website could be a little more informational on what staying in the glamping cabins entails so a few "tips" - the office is in the main lodge to the right of the main lodge doors. We wandered a bit when we arrived trying to figure out where to check in and watched as every other guest arriving did the same. - read your confirmation. It will have instructions on your arrival in the event the office is closed when you arrive including your tent #. If they aren't there, go right to your tent. - if you are facing the lodge, the path to the tents is to the left between the two cream colored buildings - there is no path to this area - you walk through the grass until you reach the bridge over the small stream. - you really don't need to bring any of your traditional camping supplies - pretty much everything you need is provided. The only thing we used was our thermos and travel mugs to take coffee on the road each morning. There is a coffee maker in the bathroom. - no food or beverage is allowed in the glamping area but you can store food and use the kitchen in the main lodge. It is a shared space but no one else was using it while we were there. - tent #1 has no privacy at all. You are on the main path to all the other tents and your fire pit is actually across the path. The rest of them seem to be tucked nicely into little spots. The stream is heavily wooded so while you can hear it, you can't necessarily sit next to it. - fire wood is provided for you as well as everything you need to build a fire. They stack it right by your fire pit. - bed linens and towels are provided. The comforter is super warm and cozy - it's gets really cold at night! - if you plan on doing laundry, it is $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry. They do have little boxes of tide you can buy for $1. - it is a little buggy in the evenings by the fire pit (mosquitos) but not bad. - Driggs (about 10 minutes) is a little bit bigger as far as towns and amenities go. If you are looking for more of a dining experience, Forage in Driggs was unexpected - a bit on the pricey side ($85 for an app and two entrees) but great culinary experience and a "hip" vibe off the beaten path. Overall a nice experience and a great value during peak season. read more

The Ranch is just 15 minutes from the Jackson pass summit and 30 minutes from the Jackson Hole Resort. Accommodations are a fraction of the price of rooms in the Village - with added privacy. Jeanette and her staff at Moose Creek Ranch have created the most breathtakingly beautiful, relaxed and rustic outdoor wedding venue and experience. The ranch is set in a Teton range valley, with a peaceful stream flowing through it and is immaculately manicured year round. Jeanette really impressed us with her attention to detail, flare for decorating, and laid back attitude while accommodating all of our endless questions and requests for the day of and events leading up to our wedding. Jeanette and her staff were able to help us coordinate a rehearsal dinner, picnic the day before, wedding (complete with setup and take down), and farewell brunch. She made us feel welcome to take over the ranch and make it our own for the full weekend. She ensured that our big day ran as smoothly as possible, that we had everything we needed and went out of her way so that we and our guests could enjoy the wedding of our dreams! It is no surprise that they have been featured in several wedding magazines and is a very popular venue. We loved that our guests could stay on site and were equally impressed with the variety of accommodations. They have several different locations on the property to hold the ceremony and reception that are available depending on size and personal preference, both indoor and out. Lastly our favorite feature was the barn; it is a quintessential, formerly working barn, now decorated in classic western flare, perfect for dancing and late evening festivities! The place was a perfect place for a wedding. The staff was phenominal and on the ball. We stayed in a rendezvous suite and it was gorgeous. I want to give this place a 4.5 ONLY BECAUSE the bed was so uncomfortable. Thats my one and only complaint. Everything else is top notch and I would highly recommend this place for any event or just a weekend get away. My room was equiped for wheel chair accessible and oh boy did I take advantage of the amazing shower they had to offer. I love the location and I loved that I could open the windows to breath the fresh mountain air. The lodge was well accessible from all points of the property and the barn was just fabulous. We worked with Jeanette and she was just a life saver and on her A game. Thank you so much for your wondedful facility and staff. There is not enough to say about this place. Beautiful, warm, comfortable, clean, quiet--PERFECT. We stayed in Sage Meadow #1. The checkin process was super easy and convenient. The appliances are all modern and look newly updated. The bed is super cozy. The kitchen is a full kitchen with oven, stove, microwave and full size refrigerator. There are dishes and a complete set of cooking utensils (knives, pans, whisks, spatulas, mixing bowls, colander, etc). The heating is easy to use and efficient. And there was plenty of hot water. We stayed here while skiing Grand Targhee. It was a last minute booking because the resort we were going to stay at had subpar conditions on the slopes so we switched to Targhee. We prefer staying off resort and having a full kitchen made it a lot more comfortable to be able to cook our own breakfasts and dinners if we felt like it. BUT Victor has some excellent dining options--we strongly recommend Wildlife Brew Pub for their pizza & beer. Sage 1 is a one bedroom with a queen bed and had a pull out sofa bed and extra sheets and pillows. You can also request a roll away for free so you can sleep 4 people comfortably. We didn't have time to take advantage of the activities lodge but apparently there was pool and other games in there. Will DEFINITELY book this place again next time we're out here! Moose Creek Ranch is beautiful, charming and amazing. My friends and I stayed at the house and absolutely loved it! The house sleeps 14 and is perfect for family reunions and friend getaways. There is a huge kitchen and dining area, two family rooms and plenty of space. It's near the beautiful creek, so you can sit on the patio and enjoy listening to the water and sounds of nature. We loved exploring the property and how it was so close to Victor and Jackson. We loved how quiet and serene this area is. It provided a great and much-needed getaway. The manager, Jeannette, was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this area whether you want to stay in the house, the cabins or in the glamping tents. I recently had my wedding here and it was beyond perfect! The venue is stunning, the views and atmosphere are like any other and the cabins and tents were the perfect place for all our family to stay! The manager of the ranch was so wonderful to work with and really wanted our wedding to be everything we envisioned.
