I first became acquainted with Lee 3 years ago through a mutual acquaintance, when his shop was…read morelocated on Metcalf in Overland Park. I had gone to a competitor for a minor repair, and had been told I needed to replace my steering column immediately or risk being stranded. They quoted me $1200 for the repair. I took it to Lee's for a test drive. Lee explained that the only thing wrong was some worn bushings, and it would not be necessary to fix it. He charged me nothing to troubleshoot. 3 years down the road, my steering is still working fine, despite the bushings. Since then, I have taken my car to Lee for any major or minor repair. He is no-nonsense, honest, and more than fair. A couple years ago, he called me a few days after I had paid a bill to apologize because he had accidentally overcharged me by a few cents! I just had a major tune up done on my car, spark plugs/wires, serpentine belt replacement, complete engine checkup, throttle body cleaning, etc and it cost me $532. Quotes at competitors were much higher. All work he's ever done has been great and I've never had recurring issues. The only thing you might consider is that his hours will vary from time to time since he is the only service tech right now. Just call ahead! If you're looking for no-compromise, ethical automotive service, this is your place. I don't take my car anywhere else.
