I arrived at 9 am the morning of the wedding, and let's just say jet lag and other issues meant that both Emily and Emily had their work cut out. I had an extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience with China. She rescheduled my…read moreoriginal 2/15 appointment at 7 PM to Monday, 2/17, even though her booking site showed Sunday availability and Monday as unavailable. Communication was terrible--I had to wait hours for a response or double text just to get confirmation. After confirming my 2/17 appointment at 12:30 PM, she suddenly canceled, claiming she assumed I was a male client (despite no policy stating she doesn't service men). When I clarified that I'm female, I had to rebook manually, but her site wouldn't allow it. She told me to just come and pay in full. On the day of my appointment (2/17), I reached out at 10:30 AM to confirm, and she responded only 20 minutes before our scheduled time saying she'd be late. My service was a simple loc retwist and style, but she said she couldn't do the style I requested. After three hours in her chair, my hair didn't even look freshly retwisted, and worse--she started combining my locs without my permission. I have 200 locs, and she took it upon herself to combine them without asking, saying she does this for clients with a lot of locs. On top of everything, she is a scammer. When she originally canceled my appointment, she said she refunded my deposit. While I understand refunds take a few days to process, I later discovered I was charged twice for the deposit, in addition to paying her in full with cash. This was a complete waste of time and money. China is unprofessional, has poor communication, and provides terrible service. Do not book with her!!!!!!!!!! Message to China since you blocked me Text message don't lie love and neither does bank statements why did you charge me again for a deposit I paid you in full in cash. if you had any common decency you would refund 40% of what I paid actually but no, why would I ever let you back in my hair ??? I have photos of what my hair looked like after I left. I was polite the entire time if your feelings are hurt because I'm not sugar coating anything maybe do better. Your communication skills are lacking terrible for someone in the service industry. And to be honest with you, the work that you did in my hair was so trash, but I was like you know what it's fine. I'll fix it myself. It wasn't until I started fixing it myself, I found that you had combined my locs that's why I became frustrated, that's incredibly unprofessional. You are not a Loctician unless a Loctician recommends you combine your locs for the integrity of the loc itself you don't just go around combining people's locs "because they have a lot".
