On Saturday I am told there was an issue at the warehouse, on Monday it was a scheduling snafu....all the while I am communicating this to my tenant and losing credibility and goodwill with her because Beltz was unable to keep their end of the bargain through pure incompetence. Currently it is a week after I first contacted them and 4 days since they told me to expect the job done. Their technicians are excellent, but their staff and office workers are incompetent to the point I can't hire them again.

Their plumber who has been assigned to us saved us many times from headaches, particularly with a tricky dishwasher installation. However, that experience was tainted quite badly as of late. We reached out for an estimate on replacing a toilet (customer-supplied) and replacing a toilet valve at the same time. We were quoted almost $700, close to double what we've been charged for similar work in the past. I understand that small jobs carry a high price to the business compared to more lucrative jobs, but we really thought given our past experience we would be quoted a reasonable price. In the process, it was also explained that there had been service call fees charged to us when they were never listed on our invoices for past service. This was broken out more fully for us on this quote. It's painful to me because I really thought we had found our company. Unfortunately, with these prices, we need to look for a new plumbing company now. I give them full credit for their past work, but their apparent new pricing prices us out of service.

I had a far more serious issue two months ago. My water heater burst.... I heard a loud noise one late Friday afternoon and I walked into my garage to see water coming from the closet that houses my water heater, water softener and furnace. The heater had definitely burst and so I called Alltek for help. They guided me on the phone on what I needed to do to shut the water off to the heater and then someone came the next day. I obviously needed a new one. They could have installed a tank water heater that day but I decided to wait till they got a tankless in snd upgrade, just a few day wait. Once they got the tankless water heater, I had constant non-interrupted hot water. Didn't get it for a bad price either and it will eventually pay for itself in lower power and water bills. Service from Alltek cant be beat! They were there when my family needed them.

This all started at the time of installation. The crew performing the installation vented the refrigerant charge from my old system into a bucket of water instead of recovering or recycling as required by the Federal Clean Air Act EPA 608. I made a video on my cellphone and was planning to file a complaint with the EPA about the willful disregard of the regulation. I discussed this with their Service Manager and was asked not to do this. I agreed with him only if this incident was discussed with hie crew at their next meeting. My experience went downhill from here. I subscribe to their Planned Service Program and have received unsatisfactory experience. Only once in 6 visits has the technicion collected sufficient data to track any refrigerant leaks. The EPA 608 reqiires tracking the refrigerants used in home units from "cradle to grave". This means that any refrigerant added, lost or recovered must be reported. The visit in 2025 collected the baseline info for the first time. The visit this year was haphazard and nothing useful was recorded. I am not a satisfied customer of Alltek Plumbing and Heating
