He & his staff are all bilingual (Spanish) and very welcoming to both new & existing patients. Everyone is treated like family. It's important to have a primary care physician to help coordinate with other specialists when needed and Dr. Munoz & his staff excel in this area! I had a possible stroke scare during Hurricane Beryl & even though their offices were closed due to weather Dr. Munoz made time to speak to my husband on the phone and gave him a list of symptoms to check me for then advised my husband to take me to an ER asap to have an MRI done. The MRI was critical and excellent advice. They found a brain tumor that had to be removed immediately. Dr. Munoz & his wife came to the hospital to check on me & recommended an excellent neurologist. They have checked in several times to let me know our family is in their prayers and have provided strength in a very difficult time in our lives. This review is solely for the My Family Doctor practice and Dr. Fanny Ramirez and her staff. I…read morerecently brought my mom to see Dr. Ramirez and we loved the entire experience. My mom recently changed pcps because her old one did not take the time to hear her concerns and did not have a good bedside manner at all, and Dr. Ramirez was such a pleasant surprise! The location isn't the most convenient being that it's downtown but with garage parking and street parking, it's not all that bad. My mom had an 8:30 appointment and when we arrived, we waited about 15 minutes filling out new patient paperwork etc. They have a decent sized lobby with a tv and magazines to look over while waiting. Once they took us back, the med assistant was a doll. She was very courteous and patient with my mom. My mom uses a walker and they did not rush her at all, they let her go at her own pace. Once we were taken into the exam room, a med student went in and asked us a few questions. He was really nice and asked my mom thorough questions. When Dr. Ramirez came in, she was cheerful and listened to all of my mom's concerns. Due to type of insurance my mom has, there was a big confusion as to which provider she can see and Dr. Ramirez was so sweet and apologized for the mess that we've been dealing with. Although it was no fault of her own, thanks to the so called insurance companies, she pointed us in the right direction so that hopefully we can get everything situated regarding my mother's care. She has an excellent bedside manner! The whole visit took about an hour and a half (including time taken for blood work) and the doctor took her time with my mom and again, was so patient with us. I believe there are 3 other doctors in the practice and if your doctor is not available, they told us that you can also see the nurse practitioner. The whole visit went really well, we were both pleasantly surprised. And! They called me 4 days after her appointment to go over blood work results for my mom. The nurse that called me was very informative and went over each result with me point by point (something that none of her doctors have EVER done) and made sure to clarify any questions that I had. That was awesome. I really do hope that my mom can continue to see Dr. Ramirez. Everything went well for the initial visit. The practice surprised us in the best way, I just hope my mom found her new doctor. 4 stars!

She never hurries me or makes me feel like she doesn't want to see me. I like the fact that all tests are run in the building, so there is no running all over town for blood work, X Rays and such. Dr. O'Brien is also very positive. She accentuates the good things that I have done to improve my health. This makes me want to try even harder. She is very thorough and very knowledgeable. I am so glad that a friend recommended her to me. She no longer takes new medicare patients. Another huge plus for me is that she is always on time. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes after my appointment time. The only negative aspect is that you have to pay for parking. This makes me feel like the Group is money hunger. Medical bills are high enough, without having to pay to park.

Turns out, its been 5 months i had not seen dr. Collins. After that, she kept telling me dr. Collins wont help me with getting another leave from work and thats something she did only for me, but i never expressed that im looking to take another leave from work. I made that very clear to debbie that im not looking to take time off from work and I legitimately need dr. Collins help but it seemed like Debbie was upset i had not seen dr. Collins for all these months and she was taking a revenge by not scheduling an appointment!? I ve never had a bad experience with dr. Collins her self. Shes amazing and very patient with the process and helped me stabilize myself. Sadly, i have decided i will not go with her anymore solely because of how Debbie spoke on the phone with me. Dr. Collins, please train your staff on how to speak to people who are mentally unstable because im sure you dont want your patients to do something drastic that Debbie may regret.
