I just discovered that you can walk the park in the winter time too, as they shovel the parking lot. I saw a few people here walking their dogs. No camping and no canteen from Labour Day to the long weekend in May. I will add a few snapshots that I took. I can't wait to go back!

There were a lot of highlights- the big bridge, climbing the boulders to the scenic overlook of a huge marsh where we saw an enormous heron and lots of wild life- we saw porcupine, chipmunks, bunnies, and some cool birds, The trails were pretty easy, my three year old handled them well. There's even an ADA trail, making this an inclusive outdoor activity. This will remain a tradition when we go back to Thousand Islands!

Ferguson Falls is a small park with lots of greenery. No play structures or anything fun for kids…read more It's more for just taking a walk, biking through or having a picnic. There is only 1 lone picnic table in the entire park, but several park benches, and lots of green space if you wanted to lay down a blanket and picnic on the grass. There's a good mix of shaded and sunny areas. There was not too much water when we went there, so we didn't get to see the falls (it was all dried up), but it was pretty nonetheless. Admittedly, I was expecting something a bit grander (even when the water levels are high, the fall distance is not that great, so the falls I imagine are more pretty than magnificent). Nevertheless, we had a lovely walk and picnic in this park. There is a small parking lot with free parking.

We stayed Fri-sunday…read more Check in at 5p (but if you call you can go in earlier like 2/3), check out at 10am (we left an hour later and they were perfectly fine with it). They have a nice sized playground right in front of the water/beach spot. Also, it was situated between two bathroom building! They have standing showers in stalls and also large bathrooms with a standing shower as well- which is very nice for people who need to go in with children or disabled people. They had bundles of wood on-site ($5) and ice ($2). Also, there is a little mart across the street from the state park that has little trinkets, supplies and ICE CREAM if maybe you forgot something for fire or food. ***IMPORTANT!! You are so close to Canada here PLEASE pay attention to your photo data if you're using it. We were able to pick up the Canadian lines and it sent the phone roaming for a little bit.*** It was very well kept! Each "camp" has a large enough tent site for 2 large tents, or more we had two, and then a fire pit with a mini grill over it and a picnic table. All it was missing was trash reciprocals but really what's on you and it was great. You can play volleyball usually but do to covid it's closed and so are boat rentals (typically $300). You can fish also and they have a bait shop. Highly highly recommend coming here! I don't know if it's typical but $22/night for the site is awesome.

It is easy to find the place and some sites have some leaves or branches covered which is you need to look carefully. I gave this park 5 stars for amazing nature and location. 4 stars for bathroom because limited showers per bathroom sites even though we have a lot of sites. They have washing station next to the bathroom sites which are great and get 5 stars for this! We all need some place to wash our stuff from cooking. 5 stars for grill station that they are in great condition which is I did not expect that! Bring a lot of bug sprays because they have more insects that you don't see that often in area where you normally live. Overall staying there for camping is a wonderful place and definitely family friendly!!

It's nice layout right on St Lawrence river One complaint…read more I had to be moved from my original site because the electrical hookup was 50amp. The site I was moved to had not been prepped and there is moss on the pad. I called and spoke with 4 different people and no one showed. The landscaping/maintenance people drive by several times each day. I finally decided to 'live' with it but it wasn't right. I haven't seen another site in this condition in the entire park. Everything else was fine.

This new park in the neighbourhood looks very nice for the kids! I'm excited to take my little one…read moreonce she can start running around. The forest theme is apparent with the addition of forest critters all around the equipment. There are plenty of slides and swings to choose from. There is also a sandbox. There are benches to sit on and a very short loop trail going into the woodsy area. I went through the trail easily with our stroller and it was nice to have that green space so close by. The trail will look especially nice with the fall colours or in the summer when the trees are lush again. I would have given this park 5 stars if there was a water component to it for the hot weather, but I didn't notice any water equipment.

The sites were pretty level, the grounds were generally kept up well, a new playground was being constructed and looked cool. The boat launch area was really very nice with several docks for use. Checking in was a bore also, as the computer system was not working and the guy was in a bad way trying to get me in even though I was preregistered! Overall average

This is a great getaway park. No electric sites, so just real campers stay here…read more Fishermen love this park, cheap to stay with easy access to Black Lake. Lots of big trees keeps the park cool during the hot summer days. This is our family cook out park... Never crowded.
