This is a family park on the St. Lawrence River. The lower sites are right on the water, great view…read moreof Brockville, Canada, ocean going ship traffic and the best sunsets anyplace. The upper sites are in the woods and very private. Protected swimming on a sandy well maintained beach. Great fishing just off the park with boat ramp and docking right in the park. Many river attractions near by on and off the water. The park provides trail guide tours of the many trails. Try the "Beaver Walk" or ask the park staff about Bigfoot. Great park, great staff with many repeat campers from all over and both sides of the border. Very well maintained, clean bathhouses and they sell ice and firewood.

Our camping trip was horrible, the neighbors were terrible banging at 6 o'clock in the morning for…read morenothing, the site was a mud hole, bathrooms were disguising and unusable, no cell phone, campers left there dogs in their camper to bark for the day so they can go play, the water spikets to get water a camper had hoses hooked to it, we left 2 1/2 half days earlier and loss money. What a huge disappointment that was.

The CBP maintains an office here as well. The picnic pavilion is in good shape and there are a few benches about. They have a nice sized playground right in front of the water/beach spot. Also, it was situated between two bathroom building! They have standing showers in stalls and also large bathrooms with a standing shower as well- which is very nice for people who need to go in with children or disabled people. They had bundles of wood on-site ($5) and ice ($2). Also, there is a little mart across the street from the state park that has little trinkets, supplies and ICE CREAM if maybe you forgot something for fire or food. ***IMPORTANT!! You are so close to Canada here PLEASE pay attention to your photo data if you're using it. We were able to pick up the Canadian lines and it sent the phone roaming for a little bit.*** It was very well kept! Each "camp" has a large enough tent site for 2 large tents, or more we had two, and then a fire pit with a mini grill over it and a picnic table. All it was missing was trash reciprocals but really what's on you and it was great. You can play volleyball usually but do to covid it's closed and so are boat rentals (typically $300). You can fish also and they have a bait shop. Highly highly recommend coming here! I don't know if it's typical but $22/night for the site is awesome.

I just discovered that you can walk the park in the winter time too, as they shovel the parking lot. I saw a few people here walking their dogs. No camping and no canteen from Labour Day to the long weekend in May. I will add a few snapshots that I took. I can't wait to go back!

Ferguson Falls is a small park with lots of greenery. No play structures or anything fun for kids…read more It's more for just taking a walk, biking through or having a picnic. There is only 1 lone picnic table in the entire park, but several park benches, and lots of green space if you wanted to lay down a blanket and picnic on the grass. There's a good mix of shaded and sunny areas. There was not too much water when we went there, so we didn't get to see the falls (it was all dried up), but it was pretty nonetheless. Admittedly, I was expecting something a bit grander (even when the water levels are high, the fall distance is not that great, so the falls I imagine are more pretty than magnificent). Nevertheless, we had a lovely walk and picnic in this park. There is a small parking lot with free parking.

It's a large park with a splash pad, restrooms, a sidewalk along the waterfront, and a sandy beach with a swimming area. There is good tree cover (at least when I was there in August) so you don't have to roast in the sun. Lots of children and dogs were enjoying the day, and there are benches and picnic tables to enjoy your lunch. It's not far from the departure point for Gananoque bout tours and has a nice view of the St. Lawrence River.
