Even though I walked in at 5:15, they were happy to see me and brought me to a table near the window. I started with the Liver Tikka. I've never had this before and I would recommend it. Not at all "livery", three good sized pieces arrived on a sizzling plate with some sauteed onions and a bowl of mint sauce. Th mint was a big help because this was seriously hot. Not spicy hot, temperature hot. Wow! For mains, the "handi" was listed as 'just like we have it at home' on the menu so I thought I'd give that a try. I chose lamb instead of chicken. It took about ten minutes (the waiter warned me it would be 15) and I also opted for two chapati to go with it. Again, very hot coming from the kitchen and it had a whole lot of flavor and spice, but it wasn't "hot" spicy just really tasty. Lots of small pieces of lamb in a sauce that is beyond description. Let's just say that it was excellent and the chapati was perfect for scooping. No dessert, but the cold bottle of Kingfisher was perfect (first time in a bottle, it's usually draft). A great meal!

I thought the dishes were fine quality, tasty and not too spicy. Good prices and good portions, suitable for sharing. Loved the atmosphere, with low lighting from chandeliers with red highlights and lounge music. It seemed more modern and hip than a standard Indian joint. The crowd was a mix of small groups of businessmen and tourists, with a few families like us.

The drinks prices were also very reasonable. The food arrived promptly and very well prepared, the dishes were not in the normal chrome bowls but presented on some very nice white oblong dishes. The take away menu is available online which i found out when we lost our paper version, this recieves bonus points with me. As i said the choice is amazing and all the indian favourites are on there. The staff are very helpfull too and will make something for you if its not on the menu eg: they alwyas removed my chicked tandoori from the bone for me. My favourites though are the garlic naan breads which always arrive piping hot (along with everything else) and dripping in tasty garlic. The service is quick too.
