Went from the top pics to the bottom. Tried repeatedly to educate the mgr/tech abt nail beds. I spent 5 years going monthly. I tip well, I bring treats, I thought I had a friend. She insisted she HAD to use her Dremel. They should NOT be using the all metal tips: they need to use the tips with the emery board on them. So disappointed in this person. There are products available now. They're fairly new, but when you know the client is uncomfortable from te heat of the drill, nails are breaking, etc., you reevaluate your process. I've spent $120 in the last three weeks, trying to fix what this shop destroyed. My signature has been my nails, my entire lifetime.I've had gorgeous nails for decades until now. Showed the nail tech my inspo pictures when I arrived; wanted the purple color combo "aura" nail design but similar to the yellow set (with 2 nails having a French tip). J'adore Nail Bar is highly unsanitary. I have been battling a toe infection/paronychia since January. My toe still isn't healed, I have seen a doctor three times. My cuticle is only more inflamed, tender, and swollen than the picture. This place WILL spread blood borne pathogens. I don't write reviews, but I can't let this happen to anyone else. This is a very serious matter, someone could contract MRSA, HIV, HepB, HPV, any many more blood borne illnesses. They use the same tools on everyone without autoclaving them. The tools used on me were not opened in front of me, but instead sitting there from the last person. They didn't clean a single foot basin, and used a nasty electric nail file on me with someone else's nail polish and nail dust caked on it. She (Luanne) cut chunks out of my toes and fingers, opening my toe to the pathogens in the tools and water. My toes quickly became infected and I had to remove my gel polish I overpaid for. My toes and feet were beautiful before I came here, now my toenail is discolored, growing weird, and painful. I have been coming here for a while (for the cleanliness), this last visit changed everything. I can't believe how they rushed, cut me up, and didn't even use new/clean tools. I would have given this place 5 stars before this- I loved seeing them actually clean the basin and open the autoclave packs, all of a sudden they stopped doing this. The man who did my nails was very nice, and I appreciate that. However, I was disappointed with my overall experience. During my full set, my finger was accidentally cut with the electric file, and even after I mentioned it hurting, the service continued over the cut. I also felt uncomfortable because the staff spent a lot of time talking to each other and were often on their phones or had headphones in. It made it hard to get their attention when I needed something, and it didn't feel very welcoming as a customer. Because of the injury and the lack of attentiveness, I didn't feel the service was worth the $38 But still had to pay. I hope the salon can be more careful and more focused on customers in the future. and to add on top of it, my nails are very uneven and don't look too clean and all I had gotten was a French set. read more

Hey listen, I am a guy with perfect feet so needless to say I need to have them professionally taken care of. And I mean I have perfect feet, no corns, bunyons or hairy toes and the toes are pointed in the right direction. I've been here before and absolutely love the care that they take for all their customers. The nail bar is clean and always busy. I got the lux pedicure with eucalyptus cost a little more but absolutely worth it. The lux is a massage on the lower leg, calf, ankle and feet. I have them use a clear coat on my toe nails. I have gone here 3 different times and have had 3 different techs and I have had positive experiences every time. I always get shellac plus a manicure. There prices are lower than a lot of other places, however they also charge for each individual service (removal of previous shellac/polish, manicure, new shellac etc.) so while their shellac is listed at $15 it typically costs $25-$30 before tip. They are very compliant with COVID-19 protocols and do their best to keep patrons separate as possible! read more

Not sure what nail tech I had. I came in as a walk in I got a full set of acrylics done with regular gel. My nails look awful I could have done better myself with press ons. I didn't have hard nails to do. Short with one color and it's terrible. Cut my cuticle with the dremmle which was now bleeding but continued to use all of the polishes and his brush. Uncomfortable experience. Then I got told to sit at the dryer so I did then nobody came back for me to tell me if I was good to go (as I already paid before he painted my nails) so I had to ask the front desk lady to which she was very rude. I made an appointment and they didn't take me back until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The woman who did my pedicure was incredibly rude and made it an uncomfortable experience. It took 2 hours to get a full set because my nail tech kept answering and scheduling appointments despite other employees just standing around. Then after a week all of my nails start d popping off. I've had acrylics for years and I've never had that happen in a week's time. So the quality, I would say, is poor. They charged per rhinestone and charged extra for me wanting 2 colors. The vibe was uncomfortable and the staff had no sense of urgency. I won't ever go back. Especially for the price. read more

Today was my first time at this salon. A friend asked me to try it out since I had been searching for a decent nail salon and told me to ask for Tony. So, I did. I was a little bit nervous when I arrived since they use self-check in. A first for me. After a little wait I was asked to select my polish. First time at this place. I enjoyed the girl I had but her station and surrounding area weren't clean. Also, if getting a manicure it would have been nice to get my cuticles cut but they did not. I wish I would of read the reviews before I checked this place out. It looks pretty inside, but the shellac manicure was horrible. I had a pedicure and a shellac manicure on a Thursday, by Friday one of my nails were peeling off on the corner. I went in and they did repair it but the next day two more peeled off on the corners as well. I've been getting shellac manicure forever and this has never happened before. First, their COVID measures are excellent! Everyone is wearing a mask properly. There is a hands-free sanitizer that they instruct you to use before checking in on the touch pad. There are splatter shields EVERYWHERE! They even have disposable liners for the foot baths. I wish my workplace was so thorough. I don't get polish with mani/pedis. I don't have the patience, desire, or lifestyle for it so I only get mani/pedis to clean up my cuticles, hang nails, and calluses. It's very difficult to find someone who understands the level of attention I want done when polish is not involved. Now, there was a bit of a communication barrier as is common at nail salons but I was able to make my needs clear. I pointed out that I needed extra attention in one spot, and she ended up doing three extra passes on my cuticles because of it. She even found a stubborn callus that I have without me even mentioning it. I didn't need to remind her about my cuticles when she got to my hands, and she did three passes on them as well. As for timeliness, I went on a Monday afternoon so I can't speak for weekends but I was seen almost immediately after checking in. I tried booking an appointment online which mostly worked. You get a text saying your request went through but you're supposed to wait for a confirmation text. After 15 minutes I decided to call. I was in the system and they said I was good to come in. After that I got the confirmation text. I imagine that system doesn't get used often so they're not used to looking for it. I will be returning here to keep up with my cuticles! read more

I do not recommend this nail salon located 23 Gratiot. I took my elderly mom in to get a fill. Her nails were grown out so we opted for a new set. Unfortunately our nail tech was Huyen N Le. The worst ever!!! Mom had square/ round nails he did them in oval said oval is what looks better on a older lady I picked out a red nail polish He painted them a different color in orange/red. This place looks really beautiful but they do a very poor job. I got a gel manicure, the technician did 3 coats on one hand a 2 on the other of a light pink so it looked different. The very first time I came in, everything was well and the man did a great job on my nails. I believe his name was lee he did amazing. When I went to get a fill in is when everything went terrible. Not only did I wait over a half hour to be seated for the appointment I scheduled the lady completely ruined my nails. I would have rather not even of got them filled then what she did to my nails. And to pay $38 for something I could have done better myself. I wish I got the lady's name, she was super rushy, fast and sloppy. Absolutely terrible, I will never be going back because of this experience. My fiancé and I came to get pedi's. I was referred by my mother and this is the only place she goes to. We decided to check it and out and overall they did an excellent job. My fiancé did fall asleep In his chair (which means it was very good.) Not only does it look very nice inside but they keep good sanitation and for me that's key at any salon. They had a lot of staff so wasn't much of a wait. Overall I'd go back and keep it as my go to salon. read more

I was torn between 2 or 3 stars, I am giving 3 stars only because this nail salon uses brand new nail files, and foot scrubs ect for each client. That is huge for me because that is really rare these days. Most salons use the same file/ scrub on everyone which grosses me out. Unfortunately the shellac manicure could have been a little better, it was slightly sloppy. I get shellac every two weeks religiously and I usually only go to one place, but they were booked so I tried this place out. The inside is super beautiful and new. I really like the layout and the chandeliers, BUT be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour past your appointment time. I don't think it's worth the wait. Also am not happy about the fact that when I made my appointment I asked for a BASIC pedicure, when I was seated I assumed my tech knew because he didn't say anything and went through with the pedicure.. I ended up being charged for a deluxe pedicure which wasn't anything more than the basic besides a hot towel, so make sure you discuss with the tech beforehand or you will be charged more read more

This has become my new nail salon. I went in for dipping - Tony did an excellent job. Unfortunately my nails popped off over the next week- I went in one week later to get my nails done again- I am quite sure I was too rough on my nails. To my delight Tony redid my nails and I wasn't charged - they really stood behind their work. I was totally prepared to pay for my nails - didn't even ask for this great customer service. Then when I asked for a simple design he said no one could do it then found someone else to. I've had them done for 6 days and only four out of 10 nails are still on. If i could give this place a 0 star review i would. I walked in explaining i want a HOT PINK french tip on my toes, thin french tip on my nails (dip) and my eyebrows done. First, my toe nails were cut so short that they look raw, my cuticles were ripped off and im still sitting here in utter pain on my toes hours later, she did WHITE french tip on my toes and i just let it go since she had already started, my 2 big toes are completely different shapes and lengths aswell. Then moving to my fingers, there was red in the dip pink coat for my french tips that left red specks all in my nails. I told the guy to fix it and he never did, so my white tip nails have red specks. My white tips are also uneven and kind of fade, they aren't crisp. If i wanted ombré i would've asked for that. The cuticles on both pinkies hurt just like my toes as well. At this point i wasn't going to risk them doing my eyebrows hence my 21st birthday is tomorrow! so i went elsewhere. Now when paying, i paid for my 100 dollar service, i even tipped 10% which is very generous considering. The man who did my finger nails had the audacity to ask me to tip him more. Place was clean, staff was nice. I had an appointment at 5 they got me in at 5:30, not a big deal as it was the holiday and I did make my appointment last minute. However, I got shellac polish and not even a week later they're already peeling back. Shellac should last two weeks sometimes even longer and I couldn't even get a week out of these ones. My appt was at 2:30, I was seated at the pedicure chair and just left there for 20 minutes. Nobody said we'll be with you soon or acknowledged I was just sitting there. A "Karen" came in when I was brought back exclaiming that she was seeing the girl that was sitting me. So they just left me sitting there. Acknowledgment would have gone a long way.
