I used JAG to replace my driveway and to add Belgian block curbing at my home in Clifton. In addition, I had them dig up a drainage line for my downspouts which was under the old driveway and replace it with a line no longer under the driveway but instead alongside the driveway. JAG had been recommended to me and I am very pleased in every way. JAG was very competitive with the other two estimates I had gotten. I am not the type of person who generally posts reviews, but the experience my husband and I have had with JAG Paving has been so negative that we felt it was imperative to warn others so that they don't ever think of using this company. In May 2019, I contacted JAG Paving to get an estimate to rip out our old cracked concrete garage floor and lay a new concrete one. I had a scheduled appointment with the owner Lorena. She showed up over an hour late and never called to notify me that she would be delayed. When she finally arrived, there was no apology for being late or any explanation given as to why she was late. A red flag should have gone up at that time that this was not the kind of company with which we should be dealing. Nonetheless, we contracted with JAG to do our garage floor. In June 2019, JAG's workers came to do the job. They came with no protective coverings for our driveway or the street behind our house from which they were entering our property. This is the mess they left on our driveway and rear street. (See photos) Upon completion of the garage floor, the garage floor was covered with swirls, rather than the smooth uniform appearance which we were promised. My husband and I contacted the owners and they agreed the garage floor looked terrible. They couldn't explain why it happened. To make a long story short, they gave us back 20% of our money, but they assured us that even though the garage floor was aesthetically unpleasing, it was nonetheless, structurally sound. Fast forward 5 1/2 months... the garage floor has a long crack the entire length of the garage and a long crack half the width of the garage! We were subsequently advised by a reputable paver that the cracks will only get worse. After multiple calls to the owner of JAG Paving to come look at the cracks, she has not done so and told us that she is done with us because she already gave us a discount! My husband and I have filed a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. In the meantime, I want to warn others to stay as far away from JAG Paving as you can!!!!! read more

Contact them to redo my driveway. I was told that the job would take two to three days. The following day I received a phone call telling me they would be there that morning. They removed the old blacktop and on the same day put down the new blacktop. I feel it was rushed. When it rains, there are small pools of water. I have tried calling and I am told the owner is not there or she is busy. Will call back, never called me back. Be very careful, she is all smiles in the beginning but when you have a problem no callback. Very disgraceful and poor business skills. read more

JAG Paving just installed new pavers on our walkway and on our porch. It looks FANTASTIC! I am very happy with JAG, from the first meeting with Lorena and until the job was completed I was very satisfied. Everyone is professional, pleasant and they are perfectionists. I contracted with Jag Paving to have several jobs done in my house: driveway repaving, removal and replacement of stucco on the right side of the home, removal and replacement the outdoor front steps, and installation of a drywell and trench in front of the garage. Once the paving, drywell and trench installation, and stucco were completed (around June 7), a couple weeks after (July 2), rainwater was going directly inside the garage and collecting in front of it. After several attempts to contact the company, Mrs. Lugo returned to my property and removed the drywell (July 15) and told me to "figure it out" the solution for the flooding in front of the garage. She or her workers did not return to fix the hole in the concrete and garage siding left from her removing the drywell. She and/or her workers have also not returned to complete the front steps for which she was contracted and paid in full. She has made several appointments with me to stop by the house and fix the problem and install the front steps, she has not showed up for any of them. I would not recommend her company. Not a good experience. I set up an appointment, and they never showed up. I called them a half hour after the scheduled time and was told that something went wrong, and they would call me back right away. An hour later they call back saying the person's phone wasn't working and that they could set up another appointment; no apology, no explanation. That's all I needed to know about this company; I can only imagine how the work would go. I would never hire these people for anything! read more

They do good work and the price is not outrageous. But the big problem is they don't get back to you on the phone and it's hard to pin them down to an appointment. They're not honest when it comes to when they will do the work or responding to you. They're classic in the approach of "nodding" but they really disregard you. read more

I would give them zero stars. Very unprofessional. Both owners hung up on me trying to resolve issues. Workers drinking on the job. Stones in front of the house are crooked, cut wrong. Cement and black top is cut crooked. They have came back many times to try to fix things but was told at this point it can't be fixed again. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. I called to make an appointment for 2 weeks in advance, the secretary took all my information including my address and I thought I was all set. On the day of my appointment, no one showed up or called by the appointment time. So I called and left a message inquiring their whereabouts. When I received a call back from the owner, she stated that she didn't know about the appointment and would have to give me a call back. 1 hour later the secretary calls to reschedule the appointment for later that day. She apologized for the earlier missed appointment and indicated that the owner had had some trouble that morning. So the stories were already misaligning. I rearranged my day to be home for the rescheduled appointment, only to receive a phone call 10 minutes after the reschedule appointment time, from the owner, letting me know that the location was too far and she would not be coming to the already late appointment. Needless to say, this company comes off as very uncoordinated, discourteous, and unprofessional. This may have been a true blessing in disguise because God only knows how the actual job may have gone. Years ago JAG did our driveway and did a good job so we called them back for our sidewalk. It was a small simple job that turned into a nightmare. They were incredibly difficult to communicate with, even finding when they might start the job took many phone calls, they never came when they said they would usually showing up a day late, then when they would come they never communicated (for example after laying down concrete one might expect ab quick notice of how long it will take to set, but no) we then, after several days,had to call to find out when they would come back to remove the braces and extra wood and debris left in our yard. When they can they demanded the rest of the payment which we said we would pay after the final inspection- as is the case with every contractor we have ever worked with, the result was threats to call a lawyer, a statement that they never should have taken a small job (it was several K$ but apparently not enough) and finally my husband was told they would never work with us again - how they could think we would ever request their work after all we had been through is beyond me. Although my sidewalk was completed with for me work, I'd save yourself the headache and get another contractors. read more

My next door neighbor highly recommended Jag Paving Corp to me and they definitely lived up to their reputation and recommendation. I was impressed by the amazing masonry workmanship done to my West Orange front yard. They built a walkway, new front steps with a sleek lime stone finish and stuccoed around my entire house. In addition, these jobs were complimented with a asphalt driveway hedged with river stones. I've been raving about Jag Paving Corp's Customer Service because the owner Loraina would personally come every morning to make sure everything was running smoothly and on task. After getting various quotes from different companies, Jag Paving Corp has the best prices around and at the same time are the most informative in their areas of expertise. JAG paving should not be able to have a license to work in the State of New Jersey their dump truck drivers drive like the are the only vehicle's on the road had one of their trucks driving down the NJ Turnpike weaving in and out of traffic doing well over 80 with a truck that for sure was over loaded and no tarp to cover the load hit the bump on the bridge at exit 13A and threw a rock the size of a baseball through my windshield glad I did not get killed tried to flag the driver down and he just flipped me the bird best thing is I caught it all on my dash cam sent the company the plate number and video was told don't call here no more and that we have insurance so SUE me you think a company would just pay the $450.00 I had to pay out of pocket so if you think they would cover and damage they do to your home or business you better guess again look for a reparable contractor before using these people read more

for about 15 years I have been patching my stairs never wanting to get them redone. This last storm destroyed them. All the patch was gone. I saw a Jag paving truck on Elm Street in front of my house. So I asked the very courteous guy to give me an estimate. It was the lowest. And they were ready to go today as soon as spring start it and the weather was better. they gave the best estimate and they finished in one day. It is like a piece of art. It's cold outside its windy and they did a fantastic job. Never interrupting anything that I had to do at my house. I highly recommend them. Very courteous I think the owner is a female she is great. The supervisor makes several checks through the course of the day. All around a great place. The next time I need anything done like this I will call them first.by the way there is another review where the guy was extremely satisfied he just did not understand how to give them a 5-star rating and he gave them a 0-star rating by accident. So all of these reviews are five star. And believe me they merit 5 stars read more
