It was…read moreimmediately obvious that his pictures are in a different league from those of "wedding photographers": artistic without being artsy or pretentious, natural, perfectly composed, capturing all the emotion - each picture (of people who were strangers to me, no less) "moved" me. My daughter and son-in-law interviewed several other photographers, and quickly realized that Andrew was the one. He is a pleasure to work with and asked all the right questions of the bride and groom to find out what they were hoping for. On the wedding day Andrew had everything under control (even the things we didn't!). The posed pictures were fast and easy, and I noticed Andrew and his terrific assistant (also a great photographer in his own right) exactly once during the ceremony and reception - at the very end; they could have been watching TV in the bride's room and we wouldn't have known, they were that unobtrusive. So we have no idea how they managed to shoot hundreds of beautiful pictures, beyond any hopes or expectations, capturing every important moment and more throughout the day. Our only complaint is that each picture is so fabulous, it's going to be excruciating to do the selection for the albums. What a great experience for the whole family to work with this delightful and talented consummate professional.

There were four different backgrounds set up for the event. Thankfully, two of the backdrops were located inside. Jamie's communication with us during the shoot was amazing. She was clear with her directions and got our small family of three into over a dozen different positions in the short fifteen minutes. Our son was nervous before meeting Jamie but quickly warmed to her. It wasn't long before she had him smiling, giggling and playfully posing for her. Correspondence from the very beginning was top notch. We received an email confirming the appointment, a reminder email and shortly after the shoot another email with information on how to access our pictures. Questions that I emailed were addressed quickly both by the staff and Jamie. I truly feel blessed for having met Jamie. I thought they were absolutely stunning and that his work managed to capture the tender moments of such a special day so effortlessly and beautifully. We didn't end up booking Onteora, but I knew we had to book Jesse! When I showed my now-husband Jesse's work, we felt like we were there with the couples and the families - we could feel the magic of the beautiful occasion in a way we just could not with a lot of other wedding photographers.
