Dr Vasquez is an excellent caring person with a great staff, highly respected and would recommend him .

Dr Vasquez was my PCP for many years. He was attentive and caring. I was wound very tight. In 2014 I got sick. I pretty much went into a state of panic. I needed some anti-anxiety meds. He basically dropped me. Didn't even have the decency to call me and speak to me like a human being. It was very disappointing. I don't care about Concierge Medical charges or anything else. I thought we had a "relationship" as he saw me for years. He is simply another example of our failed and flawed medical system. I am no longer a young man. Likely, my days are numbered, and my issues are far more serious than his capabilities would serve. That being said...I could never recommend him because of how I was treated. NEVER. read more

OK... Dr Vasquez himself is actually a good doctor with an excellent personality and wonderful bedside manner. He is always patient with me and goes over everything I want to talk about in detail without dumbing it down or being condescending. I give him as a person and doctor 5 stars. His office and staff on the other hand...1 star. Can I give them negative stars? If you go here, be prepared for lots of frustration. It is extremely difficult to get through on the phone. It will be days before they call you back if you leave a message, so keep trying until you physically talk to someone. They are disorganized and clueless a lot. Most recently, I had to inform them of my insurance copayment because they couldn't find it. Really? I have to tell YOU how much I owe? They also screwed a friend of mine out of long term disability. He's on dialysis and can't work. When the insurance company asked the office for his *entire* medical history, Vasquez's office sent ONE SHEET OF PAPER with nothing about his kidney failure or dialysis treatments on it...his LTD was denied and cannot be re-opened. Do not see his assistant Jennifer either. She's extremely high-strung and not well trained. She thought I was having an aneurysm and sent me for an emergency MRI (OK, the symptoms did kind of warrant some concern) but then waited 6 days to call me with the results. I called the MRI center the morning after the MRI and already had the results. She left me for 6 days thinking I could have a stroke any minute... (MRI was clear, by the way). Ugh. I love Dr Vasquez and really feel for the first time I have a doctor who is patient and listens to me...but damn his office staff really really sucks. I am considering going somewhere else just because of all this. read more

Dr V and Jennifer are wonderful people but you can tell who they really care about. I go see them for my meds and get my blood drawn every 6 months, they used to work with me but recently they are very rude. You see all these signs in the office about Botox and other plastic surgery style products displayed in the patient rooms. If you are a normal patient, they could care less about you. I recently went to see Jennifer (PA) about my meds and told her I would not have time that month do do blood work because I needed to take care of some things, she writes me a one month refill as opposed to my normal 6. I understand. I also show her some knots in my lower back and she dismisses my level of pain I was describing. She wrote me a prescription for a medication that was so weak it was over the counter. When I asked for something stronger she looked at me like I was a junkie and told me "that's how Michael Jackson and prince died" (hydrocondone) and I was like "no, they didn't, quit lying." Long story short, she sent me to get a cat scan and when she got the results back, she called me frantically explaining that my disks in my spine were in very bad shoe and that I needed to make an appointment with a spinal surgeon immediately. ( I had already made an appointment on my own and got the meds I needed and the surgery scheduled.) so to remind you She didn't believe me when I said I was in bad pain, called me and told me to make my own appointment with someone, and never apologized for being indifferent to my suffering. The straw that broke the camel's back was the staff. I have been a patient there for almost 5 years now and they still treat me like scum. I call and tell them I will not be able to get blood work before I go into surgery but I will run out of meds before then and will need an extension. The nurse rudely interrupts me and says no, you have to come in and get your blood work. I then ask to speak with Jennifer and the nurse responds with "Jennifer is listening to the conversation and stands by what I say." I was like if she is listening, why can she not speak about it?! If you want decent service and don't want to waste half of your day waiting to see a snobby staff and a doctor who is indifferent with your suffering then go ahead. It pains me to write this review - I adore Dr. V but after my experience today I have to express my dissatisfaction with my visit. I'm not going into details - but it goes like this. I waited 50 mins before being called back to see a PA., (Jennifer) another 15 minutes for the PA to walk in.... I expressed my displeasure at having to wait so long - her response was"if you don't want to wait schedule your appointment earlier in the day (it was at 4PM)- we are always behind at closing...." And it was said with a smug attitude to top it off... I simply stood up, grabbed my bag and walked out.... My response should have been - no stay on schedule, other doctors do & you should be no different. An hour and 1/4 is entirely to long to wait. There are other doctors out there..... read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Vasquez for about 12 years. He is thorough and has a great bedside manner. I've always received exceptional care when visit the office. The PA Jennifer has been with Dr. V for quite a number of years now. I think she is terrific and trust in her care as much as I do Dr. Vasquez. The office staff is the same from when I first became a patient. They are pleasant, kind, and always on top of things. Over the years I've refereed countless people to Dr. Vasquez. A couple years or so ago I needed a new general practitioner and so I turned to Facebook to see if my friends had any recommendations. Almost immediately I had 4 different people recommend Dr Vasquez. He also had been rated highly by the Dallas Voice readers. So I gave him a shot and have been happy with him ever since. He's attentive, kind, funny and listens to his patients. I was amazed one time when I became ill on a business trip and I emailed him with a miserable cold/bronchitis combo at 6 am. He responded within minutes and was able to call in a prescription to a local pharmacy for me. Jennifer has been fantastic as well. I noticed one review complained about it taking too long for an appointment. I have never had that experience. I think the longest I have ever waited has been about a half hour and most times I'm back in the exam room within minutes. It's nice to have a doctor that seems to understand and actually care about me as a patient. I'd recommend Dr Vasquez to anyone. read more

I consider that costumer service in everywhere is a challenge everyday. Therefore, I think that Dr. Vasquez office is still having a good number of stars because he and his staff cares and provides the best they can. Of course, there are days that work is a lot and they have too many people to follow up on, but are we not in the same situations many times in our own lives? I've been a patient of Dr. Vasquez for 20+ years. He's very caring and I get excellent service and care. Before his office was crowded and I had to wait for service. When making an appointment I used to have to book it months in advance to see the Doctor. Now with MDVIP concierge service the service is much better and my appointments were quick and I get some face time to talk to Dr. Vasquez on things that concern me. Before when he had so many patients, 10 minutes was the most I got to talk to him. I love the Concierge service. read more

I have had DR. Vasquez as my PCP for over a year now. By far, he has been one of the greatest doctors I have had. His knowledge base and bed side manners are superb. I love his PA Jennifer. She was always kind and understanding plus had better availability when the doc was in high demand. The problem I have with his office is his front desk receptionist. I believe her name is Maria. She has a problem with being rude to certain patients, and can't stay professional. The rest of his staff is great, fun, and helpful but the great experience goes to waste when the front of his office has a bad attitude. read more

I have been a patient here for 7 or 8 years and while Dr Vasquez is kind and caring good luck getting in to see him. I haven't had an appointment with the doctor in years. I have been seeing his PA, Jennifer, because I don't want to wait weeks for an appointment. The quality of patient care here has continued to get worse and worse over the years. His front office staff is thoughtless and neglectful. You can usually expect to wait about 45 minutes past your appointment time before you get called back even if you make the appointment weeks in advance and if you become ill and need to see someone same day it is next to impossible to get an appointment. The only way to get an appointment same day is if someone cancels so expect to be forced to go to urgent care or the emergency room when you become unexpectedly ill. When you call in to request a prescription refill expect to have to make that call multiple times before it happens. Don't expect return phone calls if you leave a message. Save yourself time, money and frustration.....find a different doctor. I have. read more

You can't schedule an appt w/o leaving a message and waiting for a call back. Sometimes they never call... Like the last time I left a message on their machine to schedule an appointment, I never got a call back. Someone mentioned this in another recent review, but setting an appt time definitely doesn't mean when you'll be called in. I usually go in during lunch and am not seen until 30 mins after my scheduled appointment. For those reasons, I'm moving on to another primary care physician. Let your patients talk to someone, and if you're not going to do that, at the very least, return their calls. read more

I visited Dr V. when i previously lived in Dallas, upon returning the situation at his offices has become horrible. If you call the front desk to have them send your information to a specialist you have to do it 2-3 times before they wil actually send the paperwork If you have an actual medical need (I had walking pneumonia) they still wouldn't schedule an appointment for more than a week and a half out. After multiple attempts at seeing the doctor, having to wait weeks for a visit, and then having to wait between 30 minutes and an hour to see him, I'm sorry to say, I had to find another doctor. There are plenty of other people out there who would be delighted to have your business. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Vasquez's now for two years now and words can't express how happy I am that I became one of his patients. Dr. Vasquez has a wonderful spirit and great sense of humor and truly loves what does. He's the type of doctor that listens to his patients and truly cares about our well being. For two years now each one my appointments have gone smoothly. I may have had to wait a bit on a couple of occasions. But still I was OK with it. Lawd knows they have waited on me, whom is always in traffic going to any of my appointments or anywhere. His staff is AWESOME and they work very well together with assisting of the patients and with making sure that anything they can help with is provided. Lastly they all have smiling faces and makes the atmosphere inviting. So, to you Dr. V and your wonderful staff, please keep up the good work and happy holidays to you all. Sadly dr vasquez has chosen to turn his back on his long term patients and become a concierge service provider. Requiring his patients to pay upwards of $2000.00 per year to be seen. He will also then bill your visits to your insurance and you will still be responsible for any deductible and out of pocket. Not only has he turned his back on the patients that built him, but on staff who idolized and sacrificed for him, keeping employees like bertha or beulah or betty, not even sure what her name is. She is rude akd condescending when you call with questions. She will send you a bill before even sending the claim to your insurance... yea.. that happened to me.. read more

I've been a patient at the Vazquez office for just under 8 years. I've been using their Phys. Assistant the entire time, and she's absolutely fantastic. I'd not been feeling well for a couple of years -- and had been to several doctors/specialists when she finally figured it out. And -- wow -- what a difference in my quality of life it's been since getting a clear diagnosis. They're a super-busy place -- so getting in right on time is 50/50. But hey -- when you're as good and as nice as they are, I'm okay with a little waiting. Have 4 or 5 friends going there now (that I'd referred) and all of them are happy. read more
